Thinking of a nice relaxing vacation in Galveston?
This home is in a neighborhood where the HOA prohibits large noisy parties. it provides a relaxing atmosphere with clean beaches and beautiful sunrises. It is in a desirable area of Galveston near San Luis Pass in the Playa San Luis community (Next to the Pointe West community). The beach is only a 4 minute walk away from the house without having to get onto a main road.
This home has been recently updated with granite countertops in the kitchen and a dining room with a dining table that seats 8.
It can comfortably accommodate 6 people - but could fit as many as 8 with the provided air mattress.
There are 3 bedrooms in the house. The master bedroom has a King-size bed with a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom also has a king size bed with it's own ensuite bathroom. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. It shares the bathroom in the hallway.
The house has central air conditioning.
The living room has an HDTV with a Blu-ray DVD player from which you can stream movies and shows from Netflix (Note No Cable TV). Wi-Fi Internet access is included so that you can stay connected to the world if you so desire.
The back yard is fenced in so you have a place for your dog to relax. There is a charcoal grill on the concrete pad downstairs.
A Washer and Dryer is available for your convenience as necessary. A limited number of towels, beach towels and linens will be provided as part of the cleaning fee.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, a blender and a Keurig coffee maker with a supply of K-Cups. There is a full size stove and oven, microwave and fridge.
The Galveston Sea Wall is about a 25 minute drive away, where you'll find restaurants, entertainment, putt-putt golf and other shops. The historic Pleasure Pier (Amusement center) is also on the Sea Wall.
Note that major grocery stores are 30 minutes away, so plan accordingly. There are small local grocery (convenience) stores within a 5-10 minute drive of the house.

Please also note that there are no restaurants (that we know of) that deliver to this area.
Moody Gardens is about 25 minutes away, while Schlitterbahn (water park) is also about 25 minutes away.
You could start your day off with some fresh coffee on the deck as you enjoy the sea views and beaches. Then get ready for the beach. There is a beach cart in the garage downstairs where you'll find umbrellas, and chairs.
For families with little kids, there are also beach toys in the garage.
The walk to the beach is a short 4 minutes inside the property, over a wooden bridge that protects the dunes, then you're right on the beach. You can walk for several miles in either direction.
After your day at the beach, please enjoy a nice rinse in the outdoor shower downstairs before you go upstairs!
You could spend a day exploring the shops and restaurants on Sea Wall Blvd. Then come home and have a bar-b-que in the yard.
On another day, you could do an hour long horseback ride on the Beach! (This is the Galveston Island Horse and Pony Rides at East Beach). On that same day, you might as well also visit the Strand where there are more shops and restaurants.
When you get back to the house, the experience of relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine or a cocktail, while absorbing the wonderful atmosphere of a beach retreat is a great way to top off each day of your vacation!
For a change of pace, you could try your hand at fishing. You could fish right off the beach or drive down to San Luis Pass where you could drive your truck right onto the beach. You could spend the day by hopping on a deep sea fishing party boat to catch whatever fish is in season. There are also fishing piers on the Sea Wall.
For Golf, there is the Moody Gardens Golf Course (public), as well as the Galveston Country Club (Membership required).
If you wake up early enough to meet the sunrise, go to the beach and see it come over the horizon! At night, you can see the moon's reflection right from the beach.
NOTE! There IS a community swimming pool on the other side of the highway! There is a tunnel that leads to that area. You can walk there (10 minutes), or drive your car there (across the highway - the tunnel is not big enough to fit cars).

This property is beautiful! It had easy access, VERY clean, and had everything we needed. For being pet friendly, there was no sign of hair or smell upon our arrival. Communication was superb with the host. We highly recommend this property for views, access to the beach, and wonderful patio views. It also has 2 king beds with 2 walk-in showers which were perfect for us and our parents. Thank you to our hosts for incredible hospitality.

The Beach House had everything! Well stocked and the owner was the best in taking care of us and answering questions promptly. The view, location and elevator were great. It was a 5 for sure.
Ideally situated in an exclusive part of Galveston, no cars on beach. Lovely hosts and very comfortalbe house in pristine condition with great amenities.
We have stayed here several times and as always the house was very clean and in excellent condition. Very pet friendly and the area is so quiet and peaceful. The host always provides prompt responses when questions are asked. EXCELLENT STAY!!!!

Absolutely 5 star from the beginning….starting with my correspondence with the host who always responded quickly and was so very helpful making sure all of our needs were met, to our arrival & our wonderful 4 night stay. Home is beautifully decorated & had everything you may need and more as far as kitchen items, beach toys, beach towels & the incredible snack tray the host provided was a great surprise! The view from the spacious deck was incredible, we look forward to coming back in the spring/summer!!
This house was exactly what we needed to get away and relax! We loved the ocean view from the balcony, it was nice and breezy. The house had everything we needed including all the beach necessities. We will definitely stay here again.
