There was a hurricane prior to our stay. We contacted the host 2 weeks out and asked to move our dates or other compensation. The north shore was hit hard. There was property damage, no commercial electricity, and the roads were only open to residents. The resort was to open the 25th but did not open until the 26th. Our stay was scheduled for the 29th. We were told that there was not compensation available or we offered a different date. I reached out to the hotel during the time when we were to be there and was told the pool and spa were not open, the restaurants would not be available at all the regular times and that there would be a lot of construction going on and maybe we could consider different dates. The resort was not aware that I had already rented a condo, The amenities that we paid for were not going to be available to us. All other reservations that we made for that time frame were refunded and happily so. This was by no means the owner's fault but something could have been arranged.

Beautiful location and the staff were all friendly and accommodating. We only had time to visit the beach and the pool each once but both were awesome. Downtown Hanalei is only minutes away and super cute to visit. Wish we had more time!

Kauai trip north shore stay

Prince like was a good location to stay for good views and close beach. Hanalei was great town just down the road. Book boat tours from the north shore early so you don’t have to drive down to the south.

Beautiful Hanalei Bay Getaway

Anthony was communicative and offered early check-in. The condo was beautiful and spacious with a large lanai and full kitchen. The pools and beach access within walking distance were our favorite parts! We'll be sure to visit again in the future!

I have stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort before and this unit is great. Amazing Bali Hai view. Easy walk to pool or pathway to beach. Well equipped with cooler, beach chairs and beach toys.AC is useful on those hot evenings. Bed was comfortable. I had a few questions and they were answered quickly.

HBR is a gem

We loved our stay at the Hanalei Bay Resort. The resort grounds are beautiful and the view from the condo was stunning. The condo is conveniently located within the complex and much larger than I expected. We were very pleased and comfortable! We hope to return next year!
