This place is wonderful! We've stayed here for at least 6-7 times. The location is close enough to Acadia, but also far enough away too! The beach at the house sets it aside from most other rentals.
This is our third time renting this house and my family loves it. The waterfront location is the best, the kids are never short of activities. We have always loved the quiet area while still having close proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor.
We loved the location. The pond is beautiful and we spent many hours on the water.
Tim was an attentive and responsive host, and made the whole rental process easy.
We had a great time! Tim reached out and provided great recommendations leading up to and throughout our stay. We enjoyed the peacefulness and beauty of the area.
Tim is a wonderful host and great communicator, checking in with us before and during our stay. We were looking for a secluded area on a pond not too far from Acadia Park and this was prefect! We swam, kayaked and fished right out the back door. We were lucky enough to see loons and an otter right at the property. The outdoor shower was an added bonus. My family loved it so much we only showered outside.
We had the time of our lives, couldn’t ask for a better location! My 3 boys ages 6-14 enjoyed the lake so much they didn’t want to leave! The cabin came with so many extras for outdoor activities which made the stay even more fun, will definitely book again!

Great, thank you! Glad you and your family had fun!
Quiet cabin on a quiet lake.
Really peaceful location with a canoe, row boat and kayaks available.
The fire pit is where we spent our evenings enjoying the stars and each other's company.
Lots to do around here, close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor to visit a couple times.
Our family of four had a wonderful family vacation. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space for our family. The private waterfront location was quiet, peaceful and just lovely! We saw loons, ducks, eagles, rabbits, turkey and deer. It was an easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The sunrise on the pond is spectacular!

Thanks for the nice comments. We are glad you enjoyed our Cottage .
Nice cabin, quiet, good fishing and kayaking. Short hop to Acadia. Local restraunts are really good! Tim and Ann are great with communication and making sure everthing was going smooth, even got a hold of us when the power went out to make sure we were good. Everyone is already talking about nest year....
The cottage had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the lake. It's location was perfect to visit acadia, ellsworth, schoodic peninsula, and so many other unique locations, but then head back to the quiet of the cottage. Access to kayaks and canoe was so nice! The 4 year old asked for one more kayak ride the morning of check out- warmed my heart. The dog learned to swim! Teens spent the most time in tubes on the water and taking pictures of loons (my daughter was ecstatic to have loons that close to us!) It was just perfect- will recommend to others for sure!
The location was really nice. However the beds are really bad and lighting isn’t the greatest.
The listing mentioned a Hot Tub and Spa there is none. The pictures for the upstairs should include the steepness of the stairs.
Was very peaceful sitting on the porch and listening to the loons. Everything is close by to go site seeing or out to eat. Pet friendly was nice

If you look back at our messages, you asked on May 19th if there was a hot tub, and we told you there wasn't one. Where in our listing does it say we have a hot tub and spa?
We booked our family vacation to celebrate our youngest child's high school graduation. Even with rain and fog for most of the week we had a great time kayaking, fishing, exploring Bar Harbor and Ellsworth, and hiking in Acadia. The cabin was a little funky when we arrived, but we opened the windows and knocked down some cobwebs and enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us and lots to do.
We had a great time. The location was so quiet. There is everything you need there. We had a fire each night. Lots of fish to catch and wonderful birds to see (eagles, loon, ducks). Only thing is the week went by too fast! We should have stayed for 2 weeks! Thank you for the great place and all the items for us to use. Tim was so helpful.
I have stayed at the property with my family recently (adults, grandparents and teenager kids). It is a great cabin right on the water with amazing views. They have a dock to fish right off the property which my son utilized quite often:) We had really good weather where we enjoyed the small beach and the kayaks provided. Cabin is modest but has everything one would need while on vacation. Proximity to Bar Harbor and Schoodic allowed us to go on day trips and then retreat to the peaceful location. Highly recommend it,

Property was in great location. Short drive to explore bar harbor and acadia.
This house has the best waterfront on georges pond! Step to the lake right from the front porch.
Great fishing and kayaking lake!
Only thing i would change is the clutter in house, storage area under stairs was full of stuff and empty boxes.
Could have used that area for more food/paper good storage.
Other than that, house was great!
It was a perfect place to stay for us. We had everything we needed and then some. The pond is maybe 20 feet from the door of the cabin. I often started the day sitting at the waterfront with coffee and a book but often got distracted by loons and occasionally a river otter. Host made sure we knew where everything was and shared information on the popular sites nearby. We alternated days on the pond with trips to Acadia National Park and usually tried to end the day at the firepit. We had several overcast nights but still managed a couple of great stargazing nights. The location on the pond was also nice. The immediate, cove-like area offered plenty of space for our water activities, but we did sometimes venture out further across the pond. We had a great time and would recommend staying here.

Great location and very nice lake to swim and fish. Home is older and outdated, but that should be expected. Beds are very old and not so comfortable, but adequate. Septic system acting up on us; but to be fair, we did not call to get serviced. Saw some Loons as well, that was really cool. Thank you Tim and Ann.

Peaceful, inviting, cozy get-away! Loved it!
My aunt, cousin, our dogs, and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at this cottage. It was so nice being right on the clean lake with a nice beach. My aunt saw sunrise right from her bedroom every morning. The place was very clean and we felt right at home. The kitchen had everything we needed. The neighbors are a bit away so it was always very quiet. We really enjoyed the 'extras' like the kayaks, dock, firepit, outdoor picnic table, games and puzzles for rainy days etc. We could have stayed here 2 more weeks! Thank you Tim and Ann for sharing your vacation home with us and especially for allowing our dogs to enjoy the vacation with us!

Thanks so much! We loved the picture of you guys and the dogs kayaking. We hope you will stay with us again.
My aunt and uncle from Florida and my mom and I stayed a week at the cabin. I cannot stress enough that if you want to experience the beauty of Maine you HAVE to stay here. The lake was breathtaking, the cabin was cozy and had absolutely everything we needed including a canoe and two kayaks which we used daily. My uncle fished daily as well. Besides all of that, the location is amazing for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia without dealing with the crowds and prices. I also hiked with my dogs multiple times in the wildlife conservation area close by. The hosts are a phone call away at all times and we could tell they loved the area and cabin as much as we did. All of these things made this hands down one of the best vacations we have taken.
We had an amazing week at the Alley camp! We were pleasantly surprised as how tucked away their place was. We loved having the lake to ourselves all week basically! The stars were so bright here and we enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the property. The lake was beautiful and the location of the cabin was great! Only about an hour to Acadia which we enjoyed 5 out of the 7 days! We also loved that we had endless firewood that we took advantage of using every night under that beautiful sky. Tim was great and sent me some suggestions for running routes and they did not disappoint! It's so gorgeous up there, we'll definitely be back! We had a wonderful vacation.
PS- Wicked Munchies in Ellsworth and Smokey's BBQ & Lobster in Trenton were two of our favorite spots to eat! The clam chowder and smoked lobster were AMAZING
Nice place to get away. 3 adults and a dog. Really thought my labradoodle would finally swim to get the ducks, but no such luck. She kept them away from the shore though.
Kitchen appliances were very clean! Microwave looked brand new. Pleasantly surprised by not being bothered by mosquitoes the whole week. I would have enjoyed relaxing there, kayaking, reading, and knitting, but my son and husband are always wanting to be active so we traveled to Acadia 4 of the days we were there. Our last morning we were entertained by a pair of loons.
The only thing dampening the peaceful experience was construction going on a little across the lake starting early in the morning and late night loud music from across the lake, but that is certainly not the fault of the owners. It was cool enough in the evening to shut the windows to cut down the noise.
