Lovely cabin - very clean and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked a nicer long weekend away. And, the hosts were super responsive and very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!!

All good. Because my phone was acting up we had a few minutes of panic trying to access the door key code. But it went fine..just as instructions said! Wish we could have stayed longer..the chalet had everything you could ask for!

Very nice stay would recommend.

We would definitely stay again at this clean and comfortable spot. We were there to work in the area and it was a great spot to make meals and get to our work spots. Enjoyed!

This chalet property was the perfect house for our family of four. It has all the amenities needed for a getaway in the woods. The house is very accommodating, the hosts are very helpful and provided all of the information needed prior including a list of places to visit, restaurant recommendations and where to shop. If you are visiting this area, highly recommend staying here.

If you’d like to get away for some rest and relaxation, this is a good place for you and a small family. House is situated in the woods with a yard for your pup to run around in (although look for ticks frequently), and the trees were my favorite part. Not much close by though, and you need to drive a bit for restaurants and hiking. As another comment mentioned, there is a shooting range nearby, and you hear it constantly (in case gun fire triggers you). House has been pretty well maintained by owners, and the kitchen had almost everything we needed (a dishwasher and a steam basket would have been appreciated.) I liked that there was a nice fire pit, but we never ended up using it (I left our marshmallows for the next family to roast.) Host is responsive, and I do recommend this place for getting away from it all.

We are a bit tucked away, and I can appreciate that some folks may not want to drive 15-minutes to the nearest town. We’re on a septic system so we are unable to get a dishwasher for our home, but the steamer is a great recc! Will update that item. And, I’m glad you noticed the quality of the home. We just recently renovated and freshened up our home and are delighted that our guests can enjoy it! I hope you and others return for a peaceful getaway!

Quiet mountain stay

We had a wonderful time at this cute and cozy mountain home. We came up to West Virginia to visit family that lives in the area. It was such a nice respite to come back to every evening and relax. The decor is lovely and so much attention to detail. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. We had everything we needed and will come back again. The hosts were clear in communication and gave us many wonderful ideas for places to eat and things to do.

Beautiful Property

The property was as described and pictured. The house was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was easy to work in and had plenty of amenities. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and in the kitchen, as well as, paper and toiletry products. A previous review had noted hearing gunfire during their stay. We did hear them firing at times from the practice range off in the distance but it was not loud, did not bother us nor was it concerning. The hosts were very responsive to questions and comments. We would highly recommend this property to others.

Nice little place

Property is exactly as listed. Very nice house. I am a clean freak and this property was as clean as it could’ve been so this is a major plus for me. The property is a little too far from town which wasn’t too big of a problem for this stay but we prefer being not so far out. If you like to sleep past 7am then this place is not for you. The skylights are right above the beds so as soon as the sun rises you’ll be awake. The neighbors left us alone but I believe there is some sort of shooting range close by, there was a good bit of gun shots during our stay. The owners were very kind and quickly to respond to any questions we had. Pros- clean, nice property, everything we needed was there, Cons- too far away from gas stations & restaurants, skylights, gun shots

We are so glad you felt that our home was equipped and clean. We take a lot of pride in our property. I am sorry to hear that there were some missed expectations during your stay. We love having a 5-acre property off the beaten path in a gorgeous tree-lined setting. That does indeed mean that we are 15-minutes away from the closest grocery stores, gas stations and towns. West Virginia is known for its outdoor activities, including the hunting and archery ranges and tournaments across the Eastern Panhandle. So you likely heard the training center/range that is ~5 miles away from our community. We are so sorry if that caught you off guard. In fact, our HOA does not allow hunting or shooting anywhere in the neighborhood to keep our community members and children safe. Finally, thanks for the feedback on the skylights. We installed the skylights and love the fully vaulted windows because we enjoy having sun pouring into our home throughout the day. We'll make sure to explicitly note that in our listing so guests are aware going forward. Thank you, again, and hope you and your family enjoy the last days of summer!
