Wonderful location to stay for our 2-week visit. It was within walking distance to the park, lake, downtown shopping, restaurants, and bus. An additional plus was the off-street parking. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was efficient. Thank you Marc!

Lovely condo and perfect location! My husband and I stayed for five days to enjoy the Seattle area at a more relaxed pace. The condo is just blocks from the town center’s restaurants, bars, shops, and an incredible Saturday Farmer’s Market. It’s also steps from the lake and parks. Public transit made it incredibly easy to get into Seattle or to the ferry without a rental car. We would definitely consider renting this space again!

Perfect Apartment

With a last-minute change to our itinerary, this apartment was a blessing. Marc greeted us and provided some excellent travel advise for our stay and gave us a tour of the place. Extremely clean and comfortable, enjoyed eating at the kitchen counter and checking out the plants next door. Easy walk to restaurants and grocery store, public transportation available, nice view of the lake from a small park area a few doors down. Very quiet area/apartment in a really nice neighborhood. Hope we can come back again for a longer stay -- Thanks Marc!!!

Won't do this again

We booked Marc's property because it was near the UW Medical Center where our daughter was scheduled to donate a kidney. The stay was listed at a reasonable price for the five nights but by the time we'd paid extra fees, cleaning deposit, damage insurance, a large damage deposit, and taxes, we had paid nearly three times the advertised rate for five nights. When the kidney recipient developed an infection and the surgery had to be postponed, Marc was completely unsympathetic and refused to work with us in any way. He would not refund any days, nor would he allow us to reschedule for October (even though the dates were open). Had we booked a hotel, we would have had no problem canceling or rescheduling our stay. Nor have we received our expensive damage deposit, though he has known for two weeks that we would not be coming. Note that Marc insists on a minimum 60 day cancellation. If you can be 100% certain nothing will happen to interrupt your plans, go ahead. We are out more than we can afford for nothing. I can say that I am extremely proud of my daughter who has worked in the world's most poverty-stricken places, serving those who need her most. She is prepared to donate a kidney to a needing colleague. These actions define who she is. I am so glad I am not Marc's mother. I would be ashamed. This is not the first time we had to tweak a schedule when renting a private apartment or home. It is however the last time I will use this service. I am back to the hotel business where business practices consider not just the owners, but the customers as well.

I am very understanding that changes do occur, but in this case, it was such short notice (just a few days before arrival) that the ability to re-rent the unit was impossible. Furnished rental owners rely on their bookings to meet the obligations of owning these properties. I did promptly refund the unused cleaning fee and the security deposit in full. The additional fees mentioned are charged by VRBO, which she would need to contact them directly. The cancellation policy I have is similar to most all vacation rental owners and is prominently displayed on my listing.

Absolutely Perfect!

This Posh Lakeside Suite is indeed everything we hoped for and more. Madison Park is a gorgeous setting, the condo is beautifully appointed, has all one would wish for in every room, a perfect parking spot and so easy to walk to all everything you could wish for in Madison Park. Plus, Marc and John are wonderful! We wish we could have stayed for a month. We felt so welcomed and comfortable and hope we can stay again very very soon! Thanks so very much Marc and John

The Madison Park neighborhood in Seattle was new to us and a delight to explore. The apartment is right across from Lake Washington, and it is a great place to walk. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Another plus - convenient grocery and restaurants just a few blocks away.

Heavenly Property and Sensational Owner

We were BLESSED to find this beautiful lakeside suite! It was perfect for us on our first journey to Seattle! This outstanding property was very clean, quiet, spacious, and had a great kitchen. Yes, all this, and more, with a fantastic location! Everything was in perfect working order, from kitchen to bathroom to keypad-equipped front door. The off-street parking was perfect for us. Marc was extremely helpful & responsive, from our first contact to the day of our departure! The neighborhood, with superb restaurants, as well as a nearby park, add to the beauty of staying in this rental. We know with Marc, and this property, this would be perfect for our second trip to Seattle!

Peaceful, pleasant, & convenient

We were lucky to find this unit for our first trip to the Seattle area. We wanted a place that was clean, quiet, more spacious than a hotel, with a usable kitchen, & conveniently located. The unit met all these criteria. Like people on dating sites, not all vacation rentals live up to their photos, but this one did. Everything was in perfect working order, from kitchen to bathroom to keypad-equipped front door. The off-street parking was a plus for us, as was the on-site laundry facility. The bed & couch were both comfortable, & we did not have that icky feeling of sleeping in a stranger's room. Since we were in town for a week, it was handy to have 2 separate closets in the bedroom. Marc was extremely helpful & responsive, from our first contact to the day of our departure. Added bonuses: the gardens outside were lovely (many plants in bloom & all well-tended); the neighborhood & nearby park make for good strolling; & the lake across the street adds tranquility.

Cozy Spot in quiet Neighborhood

Close to Lake Washington, this compact apartment is away from Seattle traffic and noise but 2 blocks from a charming neighborhood center, Madison Park. It was clean and tidy with a well-stocked kitchen - sharp knives, unlike many places. Cute pocket patio in front is pleasant for morning coffee. Nice to have actual king size bed and there are two closets. Friendly owner lives in this two-story building and was available to answer our questions. Note: the #11 bus goes directly into heart of downtown, runs every 15 min., takes about 25 min. Avoids traffic and $$ parking. We plan to return for another "get-away" stay.

Pink sunrise over the lake one block from Madison Park's gourmet cafés

Clean, comfy, cozy - a table for two for eating, a table for my computer and papers, oversized couch and oversized bed, an oversized chair in a corner facing the lake (peek-a-boo view), two closets and a fully-equipped kitchen, I dropped into R&R mode. No TV needed in that location - between two lakeside parks, around the corner from the Cactus (I recommend their chicken fajitas and flan) and Bing's, Burt's Red Apple to fill your refrigerator - and the amazing corner pharmacy if you forgot anything. Marc has decorated the apartment with wonderful art. Friends who visited especially loved the small carved wooden boat topped with glass - a super unique coffee table. Marc was attentive and responsive - patiently helped me while a practiced the keypad entry lock and showed me how to lock and unlock the new windows. Truthfully, when my last night arrived - my sixth, I wished I were staying longer. This location is so central - access to the U district, Capitol Hill, Seattle Center, downtown - areas both north and south - it's all easy. I give it 5 stars.

Furnished 1 Bedroom unit in Madison Park

If you are looking for an ideal location in the city of Seattle to spend time enjoying the city and all of its opportunities, then this is the place. The location is ideal. You are a short car or bus ride to downtown Seattle. Or if the local community is preferred, you are within walking distance to, shops, restaurants, or the beach. The unit is quiet and well equipped. The property owner is attentive to maintain a high standard of living for those staying in the unit. The furnished unit had all of the necessary items to enjoy an extended stay. I hope to have the opportunity to stay in this unit in the future.

Apartment in Madison Park

Jane and Don enjoyed staying here because of the unit and the location. The apartment is comfortable and perfectly appointed. the kitchen is well equipped. We were able to host a dinner. The owner foresaw that we were there during a heat wave and provided an air conditioner. It worked well and we were grateful for his consideration. The location is great: within walking distance to shops, eateries, shore vistas and the beach. People were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is so welcoming. We had access to TV and Wi-Fi computer access. We are planning on coming back to stay here!

Madison Park, Seattle: apartment rental: 312239

Jane and Don, from Northern California, thoroughly enjoyed this rental as both a base for Seattle adventures as well as a haven for guests and us to relax. It has a well equipped kitchen, enough to host a meal, and comfortable seating to encourage conversation. The proximity to parks, beaches, cafes and dinner places was an added bonus as we could enjoy all of the "Sea Fair" boats forming a parade to go under the bridge. Awe inspiring. Additionally, since the weather had been so warm, our host provided an air conditioner. We were grateful for his thoughtfulness. He also had available parking for a nominal fee. Since we hadn't informed him we were driving, we were pleased with his offer. We plan to book this location for our next visit... if it is available... :)
