We had a lovely week and loved the quiet location of Southwest Harbor. This was a great spot for hiking and being near Acadia while also popping into Bar Harbor. We appreciated the room A/C units as we arrived during a heat wave. Our family of 5 would stay again!
Amy is a great host! We really enjoyed our stay when we visited Acadia National Park. The house is well-decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable! The place is quite and convenient. We would like to stay in this house again for our next visit.
Lovely home in a semi private area on the quiet side of Acadia. Deer in the yard and surrounding area every day. The home was immaculate and had nice amenities! Very easy communication with the host! Would love to come again sometime!
Excellent location—close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. This was such a comfortable house to go back to after full days in the Park. So clean, fully stocked kitchen, laundry machines, comfortable beds and living room, nice towels…We highly recommend this place!
We enjoyed our stay at the house close to Acadia. The house was clean and included all the basics, towels, shampoo, soap, etc, and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and some basic spices and cooking spray. The house was clean and beds comfortable. The house was decorated nicely and felt like you were visiting a friend versus a typical rental. It is close to Acadia and also has a rocky beach within walking distance or a very short drive. There are nice restaurants within 15 minutes or Bar Harbor is 30 minutes if you can find parking, which we couldn't, so we skipped Bar Harbor. We liked the Upper Deck for food and view, people also recommended Beal's but when we went on a Friday night the line was too long and no parking. If you go to Beal's and park along road, park in designated spots, we saw people getting ticketed for illegal parking. I would recommend this house for a visit to Acadia.
Everything was as promised in the property description and in notes by recent guests. The property is in a wonderful location for those interested in visiting Acadia National Park and nearby towns. It is comfortable, well maintained, well appointed, and welcoming. Our host, Amy, made it so easy for our group of four to check in and out, and to fully relax and enjoy our time together by the coast. The kitchen is set up with plenty of prep space and a full set of cookware items to support an enjoyable dining experience. We enjoyed regular sightings of deer neighbors (including 2 playful fawns), hummingbirds, and all sorts of birdlife around the home. Enjoy a short walk (and even shorter drive) to Seawall with a perfectly peaceful start or end to your day!
House was perfect! Beautifully decorated, comfortable and cozy. Wildlife everywhere - deer, turkeys, birds and ducks! Great location on the quieter side of Mount Desert Island. Very convenient to Acadia and everything else we wanted to visit in the area. We highly recommend.

Great place for our family 5mins from the national Park
Amy’s place was the perfect relaxing spot on the quiet side of Acadia. We loved the comfy beds and proximity to Wonderland Trail, Bass Lighthouse, and Charlotte’s lobster pound. Across from Charlotte’s was a perfect spot to watch the sunrise over the water, away from the Cadillac Mountain crowds.
This is such a serene property. It was clean, quiet, and so relaxing. We even got to see about 20 deer through the window. It’s not super close to a lot of restaurants but definitely a restful getaway!
This is a lovely house on a very secluded, wooded road. Clean, warm, just as advertised. We loved it. Deer everywhere and close to ocean and hiking trails. The host, Amy, was immediately responsive to messages. Maine is beautiful - we will be back. Highly recommended.
Great location on quiet side of MDI. Enjoyed it as a wonderful base home to enjoy all Acadia and MDI had to offer. Kitchen well stocked, house comfortable and quiet. Nice to have large garage to store bikes! Pics and listing accurate and would definitely stay again if we found ourselves back in Maine.
Definitely quiet, safe, roomy house for us four adults. Very clean. Set in a beautiful peaceful place just a short walk to the ocean. I would definitely stay here again.
