The Space:

Welcome to Morningside Vista Lake House! This remodeled, ranch-style cottage on Lower Scott Lake is the perfect retreat for a peaceful and memorable getaway. Nestled in tranquil Lee Township, Michigan, this seasonal lakefront escape (open May 1–October 31) offers stunning views, cozy charm, and modern comfort.



With 2 king bedrooms and 1 queen bedroom (with an ensuite bathroom), the open-concept layout seamlessly connects the kitchen, dining, and living areas, all bathed in natural light from large picture windows. Gather for classic movies on the 50” HD TV, enjoy board games or crafts around the spacious dining table, or relax in the sunny lounge and reading nook with breathtaking lake views. Step outside to the lake-facing front deck, where you can sip your morning coffee or fire up the gas grill for a sunset dinner.



Located just 2.5 hours from Chicago, 55 minutes from metro Grand Rapids, and 3 hours from Detroit, Morningside Vista is the ideal spot for a serene lakeside escape with family and friends. Treat yourself to a picture-perfect getaway!



Guest Access:

Guests at Morningside Vista Lake House will have access to the entire 960 sq ft home. There are 3 private parking spaces offered in the driveway. Our docks, two kayaks, gas grills & outdoor dining furniture are not available Oct 25-Apr 15. Guests enjoy keyless entry into the home and we send them the door code 10 minutes before check-in time.

To explore all the amazing spots in Southwest Michigan, you’ll definitely need a car! We are conveniently located close to several key coastal towns—just 15 minutes from downtown South Haven, 20 minutes from Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.



Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport (AZO) is located just under 45 miles SE of this home.

Gerald R. Ford Int'l. Airport (GRR) in Grand Rapids, is located about 57 miles NE of this home.

Amtrak's Pere Marquette line runs daily between Chicago, IL and Grand Rapids, MI through both Bangor, MI (15 miles south) and Holland, MI (25 miles north).



Please note: We don’t offer electric vehicle (EV) charging on-site. Attempting to charge an EV here damages our electrical system, and any violations will incur a $400.00 fee plus any repair costs. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!



Other Things to Note:

We’re excited to welcome 1 fully-grown small or medium-sized dog per stay! We’d love to accommodate all pets, we’re unable to host cats or other animals. A non-refundable dog fee of $50 applies and guests cover any damages if needed.



To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone:

1. Your dog must not be left unattended unless safely crated.

2. Please keep barking to a minimum so everyone can enjoy a peaceful environment.

3. Help us protect the furniture by keeping your dog off uncovered surfaces. We’ve provided blankets and towels to make things dog-friendly.

4. Clean up after your dog and dispose of waste in the provided scooper and disposal can.

5. Only one fully house-trained dog is allowed (puppy pad training isn’t permitted).

6. Please keep your dog leashed when outside, our yard is unfenced, and follow leash laws in all local communities.

7. Do your best to clean up dog hair and other messes before you leave.

8. For health and safety, we kindly ask that dogs aren’t bathed inside. We’ve got an outdoor hose and towels for rinsing off your pup after an adventure.

High-speed Wi-Fi is provided by 123Net, offering reliable connectivity throughout the home for streaming, video calls, remote work, and multiple devices. Feel free to log in to your favorite streaming services during your stay.



Please note that quiet hours in Lee Township are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am and are strictly enforced. You are still welcome to use the outdoor areas during these times, but please be considerate of noise levels.

Kindly refrain from sticking anything to our walls or using tinsel, glitter, confetti, feathers, etc. during your stay.

- No EV charging, smoking, fireworks, vaping, marijuana use, or pets/animals.

- Our docks, kayaks, gas grills & outdoor dining furniture are not available Oct 25-Apr 15.

- This home is closed annually between Nov 1 and April 30.
