About this property

Luxury Bell Tent steps from Acadia National Park.

Switch off and unwind at the Seawall Retreat. The location is ideal - set apart from busy Bar Harbor, but with easy access to Acadia National Park and some lovely restaurants. The tent is tucked into a wooded area with the outhouse facilities behind it, accessible by a small path. There is a composting toilet and foot pump sink. Just through the trees you can get a glimpse of the ocean at Seawall beach. Less than a half mile down the main road you'll find a camping supply store with showers. There is a propane grill and coffee maker, fire pit and several battery and solar powered lights. It’s important to note that the site is located on a wider property with a barn rental on site as well. The owners houses are also visible from the tent. The space provides plenty of privacy, but please be aware that the site is not fully secluded.

Lovely tent, comfy bed, quiet location, short trip to the water. I was not able to contact property manager due to internet so was not able to request emptying composting toilet. Alternate contact would be nice. Camp store was closed for the season so no shower available. Fitness center in town was not an option, owner stated that has never been an option. Begged for a shower.

Great nature getaway
The tent is so quaint and well thought out. She did an excellent job of anticipating what travelers would need/enjoy during a close to nature experience. We saw deer and fox along the drive to the tent. It was very easy to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor as well. Overall, a very smooth, fun, and glamorous tent experience.

Great location & affordable!
I really appreciated all of the information, both before checking in, and upon arrival. The tent copy of Hiking Acadia National Park was a welcome surprise and very useful. It was rainy when I was there, but the big dry tent was a nice break from the elements for me and the pup. The bed is super comfortable and you can hear the nearby ocean waves during the night. I walked to a lobster pound on the main road for dinner and the store with showers is also very close. In town, there is plenty to do and the host's recommendations for dining and activities were great. The quiet side as they call it is worth a visit!
