Incredible place to stay. An amazing yard with great hang out spaces indoor and out!! Host was great at communicating and they have everything you need for your stay
This was a great location. Peaceful. View of the water and mountain. Wildlife (deer). The host was available and quickly responded to texts or questions with a local co-host nearby. Pet-friendly. My Boxer loved the toys that were provided.
This was a great place for a quiet weekend away from the city. There isn't much to do locally, though, but if you're wanting to stay in and relax, or don't mind driving a little for outings, it's a great place.
Perfect getaway location for our 34th Anniversary. All the shopping and for 35 minutes away.Mount Rainier provides picturesque sunrises and sunset views
Loved sitting out on the deck. Beautiful view of the mountain. Internet was fast enough to work remotely at this property. Perfect blend of remote work and vacation.
My family of three (spouse plus our 18 year old daughter) had a wonderful time here! The beds were very comfortable, shower worked well, and the house stayed plenty warm on cool nights! The propane bonfire on the patio was lovely at the end of a long day of exploring. The location was quiet with little local traffic, and beautiful views of Mt. Rainier nearly every day of our week-long trip. We were able to enjoy the slow pace of southern Puget Sound, and still were only a 1.5 hour drive to Seattle for some city adventure days. Make sure to wander to Penrose Point during low tide for some marine life viewing; One of the locals mentioned to visit the Purdy Spit area for a decent chance at seeing some whales. And if you’re of the meat-eating variety, stop in at Wauna Burger for some of the tastiest burgers and fries, probably the best I’ve had in my life so far!
My family rented this property to be close to my oldest granddaughter who is in the Army while she recovered from a surgery. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. It was setup perfectly for our group. Large upstairs suite upstairs provided a quiet space for my granddaughter to rest and heal. Downstairs 2 bedrooms and bath worked well for the rest of us. Kitchen was homey and we had everything we needed. A beautiful big yard for the dog and 5 year old to run and play. Our favorite part was the deck for morning coffee with a clear view of Rainier and the water. We had several communications with the manager, who was prompt and accommodating. Originally we had booked a week, then extended a few more days because we didn't want to leave. We hope to return next year. Thanks for a great stay!
Christmas 2024. Atmospheric rivers. Rain predicted for our entire stay. But guess what? Sometimes the mountains come out. And Rainier was truly massive and wonderful for a few hours before vanishing back into the weather, because that's what mountains do. We were able to hike to Haley's cove--excellent, plus another walk called Northwest loop or 480? which was1/2 beautiful forest and 1/2 skirting giant puddles in clearcut areas. Wear waterproof footwear, as getting into 3 inches of water seemed unavoidable. The house-- downstairs was cozy and perfect for us 4 adults. Space to do puzzles and games, TV with open access to a huge number of services. Kitchen well stocked with cookware and basic spices. Microwave, electric stove oven.Updastairs was huge! With comfy bed and 1)2 bath .and took a walk called 480
