Whether you’re traveling with extended family, two couples, or a small group of friends, this combined retreat gives you the best of both worlds: shared outdoor space and proximity, with the flexibility of two distinct homes.

The Setup
You’ll have exclusive access to both cottages:
Meme’s Cottage – cozy, charming, and ideal for relaxing evenings
Papa’s Cottage – bright, modern, and perfect for gathering and entertaining

Together, the cottages offer multiple living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms — making it easy for everyone to feel at home without being on top of each other.

The Experience
Share meals together, then retreat to your own space. Kids in one cottage, adults in the other. Morning coffee together, quiet evenings apart. One group trip, zero crowding.

Important Notes
This is a mountain property surrounded by nature. While the homes are professionally cleaned and maintained, occasional bugs or wildlife around the exterior are normal in this setting.

This is a strictly no smoking / no vaping property (inside or outside). We also do not allow pets, as many guests choose this home specifically for a pet-free environment.

Great location!

It was a great set-up for two families who want to stay close have separate space . Awesome location for hiking and visiting all of the family friendly breweries in the area. They have a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a great outdoor area with fire pits and a hot tub. Kids and adults had a great time!

Wonderful!

The property was ideally located, lovely views, and perfect for our small bachelorette celebration. Our rental was inclusive of both cottages (Meme's & Papa's). Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and many thoughtful extras. Communication with the property hosts was excellent. Only wished our stay could have been longer!!

If I could give more then 5 stars I would!! This is our 3rd trip to the Afton area and is the best place we have rented. From the newly renovated homes to the location of Nelson 151/Crozet/Charlottesville it was amazing. The Evolve team was great prior to check in and the location manager was absolutely amazing and so sweet! We loved everything about these houses and loved we were able to soak up this amazing weather on the porch at night. I highly recommend these vacation rentals and will definitely be back to rent in the future.
