About this property

Peaceful house right on the spring. Great place to get away from everything.

This is a peaceful 3 bedroom 2 bath house on Salt Creek. Salt Creek is a spring fed creek not one of the many man made canals in the area. Many paddle and swim Salt Creek while in the area because it is more relaxing than Weeki Wachee. This location is still convenient to many of the area attractions without being directly on Weeki Wachee. The place is a little eclectic with various art from three generations of our family placed throughout. The home is actually our vacation home and not just a short term rental. This house was built in the 80s and some of that still shows through with various things here and there. It is a typical Florida home from that era. The entire house was remodeled over late 2024 and early 2025 with completion in September of 2025. There is a large screened in porch on the back that looks out towards the water. There are no neighbors on either side or directly behind the house. This gives a nice quiet area to relax away from it all. In our opinion this is the best location in the neighborhood but we are biased a little.

The space
House is a three bedroom, two bath house with a walk in closet and plenty of storage space. It has been remodeled with new furniture and appliances including washer/dryer. Sheets and linens included. Master bedroom has king memory foam bed and private bathroom. Second bedroom has full bed. Middle bedroom has two twin beds with memory foam mattresses. There is additional sleeping available in the living room with a futon. There is a desk if a work area is needed in the master bedroom.

Food
There are plenty of convenient restaurants to suit your needs from local to national chains. Spring Hill and Brooksville are close drives so running out to get anything is easy and quick. There is a fully stocked kitchen as well so you can eat in or grill out.

Other things to note
The water is use at your own risk. The dock was destroyed by hurricane Helene and has not yet been repaired. There is one sit on and one sit in kayak and a paddle board for kids and another for adults. These are also use at your own risk.
Non aggressive and house trained pets are welcome. There are Blink doorbell cameras on the front and back of the house outside only. We have had people using the yard when guests are not there. Once guest checks in these are turned off. They are not to monitor the guests. If you personally have an issue with them let me know and we can work something out to make you feel more secure.

Eli was amazing all the way leading up from booking through checkout. He answered questions promptly. The home was immaculate. It was very comfy and cozy. Having the creek in the back was an awesome experience.As we saw many different types of fish and even had two manatees swim through while we were staying here. This home is the perfect get away. There is plenty to do in the area, but we enjoyed playing outback in Salt Creek. We will definitely book it again.

This home was perfect! I am always looking for a home that is private and quiet. This time I truly found it! If you are looking to rent a home with lots of woods and a creek that runs through the backyard. This home is for you. The home itself is cutie and cozy. Filled with beautiful comfy furniture. The home is stocked with everthing you would need for comfortable stay. Did I menton the location? Ten minutes to the Weeki Wachee mermaids, restaurants,grocery stores and shopping malls.This home went far beyond my expectations. This was the first home we have stayed in (believe me there have alot) that the owner texted and asked how we slept the first night we were there. Wish there was a 10 star review!

Awesome place

The location was great, you don’t have to go where the crowds are to find beautiful water. There is a minimal amount of traffic the best being the 4 manatees that swam right under us while in our floats. There is an empty community lot next door that gets loud at times but it doesn’t last long, they usually swim off somewhere. The house has everything you need which is a rarity in rentals sometimes. The house is large and inviting. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay

There isnt enough good things to say about this location. The home is perfect. Every bed is so comfy. Every area is perfectly stocked, more so than any place weve ever stayed. The house feels like home. The location on the river is perfect with a wading spot and swimming hole, fishing and kayaking is great from the home. The neighborhood was wonderful and quite. Felt safer than home. The neighbors we ran across were very friendly. Rent this home. You absolutely will not regret it.

Spring break getaway

My daughter, grandson and myself stay for four days for his spring break. The place had kayaks, paddle boards, floats, fins, a snorkel mask. There was also lifejackets available. You were able to go right into the springs to swim, boat or board around. The only thing I wish the place had would have been fishing poles. The house was very unique in the art decor. The house was equipped with everything you would need. Loved the back screen patio spent most of our time there, eating and playing games and cards. The house did have a few games for the kids. Was not disappointed at all in the stay.

Perfection!

This home is perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful spot to relax and play in the crystal clear waters of the natural Spring it sit on. The beautiful water is just steps away. We brought our 2 kyaks but there were kyaks and boards there for our family to use. It was so easy getting in and out of the kyaks! There are steps to the water as awell as a wall that we sat on at high tide and just let our legs hang over and watched all the fish swim by. We spent most of our time on the big screened in patio, on the dock, or on the water. The house is very clean. We all slept well on the comfortable beds. It was perfect for us. We are already planning our next trip and can not wait to go back. There is plenty of room. They have a TV in every bedroom. Everything you need to cook is there. I could go on and on. 😉 We will definitely be back every year for as long as they will have us! Miranda and Summer are the best hosts we have ever had. Very knowledgeable of the area and available when we needed anything or had questions. I look forward to our next interaction.

We live in Virginia and this was my mothers house. When she passed we wanted to hold onto the house for sentimental reasons. We use this as a family vacation house for family and friends. This isn't just a house for short term rental but it is our vacation home. We love this area of Florida as it is relaxed and peaceful away from the hustle of the larger more populated areas.

Why they chose this property

This house is located on a lot that is right on the spring. There are not homes on the lots on either side. This is secluded and peaceful and at night it is great to rest and relax in the back yard (or porch if bugs are out) and just enjoy the sounds of nature.

What makes this property unique

This property is the last house closest to the head of the spring. most of the other homes in this area are on a canal. Nature is in the back yard here. At night the Barred Owls hang out the trees in the yard, during the day there is a chance to see manatee, otters, all kinds of wading birds and plenty of fish swimming in the clear water. This water is brackish and affected by tides so alligators don't tend to like it. We have never seen one anywhere on this creek but that isn't to say they don't come from time to time.
