Such a great location!! Steps to the beach and walking distance to everything. Restaurants, shopping, & even a Trader Joe’s all close by. This little place has so much charm and is well stocked with everything in the kitchen, bedrooms, & great beach stuff! Also, it was so nice to have a washer & dryer.The host was so kind. She did a quick walk through, answered any questions, and left us a sweet welcome basket with all of our favorite goodies! Five star review.

I visit Santa Monica regularly and always check the carriage house’s availability and am so happy when I can book it! I’ve stayed here numerous times over the years and love everything about it. The location is perfect, Dayle provides everything a guest could ever require, and the place is spotless. It’s so nice to have a full kitchen and washer/dryer. When I leave, I wish I were staying longer!

Charming Cottage in a Perfect Location

We recently stayed at this cozy cottage in Santa Monica and had a wonderful experience. The location is unbeatable—just minutes from the beach and Santa Monica Pier. It’s a fantastic home base for exploring everything the area has to offer.While the space is a bit tight for a family of four, it’s well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a charming spot in an ideal location, this cottage is a great choice. We’d happily stay here again!

Excellent place to stay for a beach vacation in Santa Monica. Just one block to the sand and the pier. Dayle was very helpful and told us everything we needed when we arrived.

Lovely place!

This property is perfect for a visit to Los Angeles. One can walk to the beach and a multitude of restaurants. The living space is bright and the owners are very attentive to detail. We have stayed here a few times and highly recommend it!

Great location, great property, great hosts!

The hosts were extremely communicative and accommodating. When we arrived, the host was there to greet us and give us the tour. They provided snacks, a lovely bottle of wine, coffee, and stocked the fridge with half and half. It was so thoughtful! There were plenty of extra bath towels which we appreciated, and a lot of things for the beach - beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, scooters, a wagon, etc. They also had a lot of fun games and movies for the kids. The washer and dryer worked wonders and the kitchen was equipped with everything! Our family of 5 slept very comfortably. The beds were super comfy. We go to California every year and this is now our new favorite VRBO spot. It even has a private, cozy patio. Everything was amazing. We will be back for sure! The hosts were so kind and gracious and simply wonderful. It was the perfect place in Santa Monica too. A couple minutes from the beach, the pier, the famous hotels, and all the restaurants and shops! Highly recommend!

Great location

The house was clean and well stocked. Great for a family of four. Easy walk to the pier and beach for an adventure. Dayle was easy to deal with and flexible when our plans changed.

Cute Place and Great Location

We really enjoyed our stay. Small but comfortable for family of four. It is a great location. You can see the beach from the upstairs window. Really clean and nice inside. Parking was easy and we walked everywhere. Would stay again if we get the chance.

My second time staying!

I just love the Carriage House and look forward to staying there when I visit my son in LA. Everything you could need has been thoughtfully provided by Dayle. So convenient, safe, lovely flowers and outdoor space.

Beachside Santa Monica stay

The absolute best for a family looking for a beach location- they have everything your family needs from alllll the blankets and sheets and pillows, scooters for the kids, laundry, shower and kitchen essentials provided (HUGE help!), great communication and location, such a beautiful home and landscaping, the list goes on! You will be so pleased!

Charming beachside rental

The cottage was cute and well stocked. Laundry facilities in unit was a huge plus! It was perfect for separate sleeping arrangements for parents and older teen. We were very glad for the beach chairs. After our other adventures, it was so nice to go and relax on the beach.

Exceeded Expectations

We had an amazing stay at this great rental, it was a perfect location to explore the beach, a short walk to the Santa Monica farmers market and easy access to both the metro and for driving. We appreciated the pantry to support meals at home and all of the great stuff for the beach. The hosts were easy to get a hold of and kept us well informed on all the parking rules and regulations. Can’t wait to return and have already shared the link with friends.

Location location location

Property was great, perfect for our family of 4. Check in was easy and arrived a little early but wasn’t a problem with owners. The treats and wine were such a nice gesture. BBQ grill was full of spider webs but didn’t stop us from using. Great location down the street from the beach and pier. Walking distance from lots of activities. Make sure to lock car doors our truck was broken into that was the only damper on this vacation.

Perfect beach vacation in Santa Monica!

We loved our stay at Dayle’s carriage house. It was very clean, had a very well-equipped kitchen, well decorated, the bed was comfy, and had a lovely outdoor patio area with beautiful plants. It worked perfectly for our family vacation (2 adults and a 10 year old). The location was perfect, 1 block from the beach and a 5 minute walk to the Santa Monica pier. Dayle was prompt and great to communicate with, and even provided coffee, wine and snacks upon our arrival. The washer and dryer, board games, books, boogie boards and beach towels were helpful, too. Thank you for a lovely visit, Dayle. We look forward to returning in the future.

ABSOLUTELY SPEECHLESS ❤️

We stayed at this location for my son’s 13th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. Private, perfect location to everything we needed. Dale was an awesome host; leaving us lots of goodies and all essentials. We were able to put some groceries in the house and eat breakfast before starting our days. Parking was easy; we felt safe, and we enjoyed ourselves so so much. If we find ourselves in CA again- we would definitely look to stay here again. Everything was perfect and we felt so comfortable- it felt like home away from home. Thank you for the experience.

Great location. Internet was sporadic through our whole stay, but it turned out to be an unplugged wifi-extender. Not ideal, but it happens. Only downside are the very loud garbage trucks in the alley. They start banging early and on various days of the week (depending on what type - garbage, recycling etc). The TV's could also be upgraded as they're small and the sound is lacking.

Comfy carriage house at Santa Monica beach

Very nice 1 BR/1 BA carriage house with friendly, thoughtful, and helpful owners who live in the main house. They provided some provisions including wine, snacks, coffee, half and half. The kitchen is small but has the essentials including a gas range, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer combo, over/under washer/dryer. Bedroom and bath are on first floor with kitchen and sleeper couch and futon are up a (pretty steep) flight of stairs. There is a narrow view of the ocean from the kitchen and dining area upstairs. AC and heat both worked well (separate units upstairs and down) and we used both in our short stay. Small terrace next to the unit with furniture and coffee table for meal or drinks in appropriate weather. Lots of beach gear. Location is good, with the beach just steps away, numerous restaurants close by and the Santa Monica pier and amusement park just a couple of blocks north.
