Welcome to your new favorite getaway spot in the mountains! This streamside cottage has everything you need for the perfect retreat. Enjoy the peaceful sounds of the rushing stream while you make the most of the home's scenic setting grilling out on the spacious deck or gathering around the firepit.

Inside, you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable living room for gathering together while you enjoy the fireplace, watch movies, talk, or play games. A porch swing overlooking the stream offers a peaceful perch for morning coffee or quiet afternoon reflection.

Just a short distance you will find conveniences such as a grocery store, restaurants, drug store, gas station, and even a water park. If you get tired of relaxing, reading, barbecuing at home, head out to see waterfalls, fish, walk, canoe, kayak, hike up to the top of Roan Mountain or Grandfather Mountain, take a cruise along the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway, or find a bite to eat in one of the charming towns of Banner Elk, Elk Park, or Newland.

Relaxing

Loved this rental, off in a quiet street in a quiet town. Lots of room for the kid and dog to play. Loved the river next to the place. It's clean as well, I think that's the most important takeaway as well. Lots to do around the area as well, trails, some minor attractions but the best part was the peace and quiet! Definitely recommend.

Enjoyed our stay at Zen Retreat. Everything was just as pictured. The kitchen was well equipped, comfortable furniture, everything was clean. It was cold and snowing when we arrived so we really enjoyed the fireplace. We were able to do early check in. Received a text message and a phone call to make sure everything was good. Excellent customer service!

Lovely welcoming home.

Lovely home for a 2 night stay. They had mostly Everything you need for a few night's stay, and the kids had lots of fun with the bord games and movies, wifi was great. I would definitely stay here again, it's clean and organized 👌. Don't expect 5star fancy house. This home is simplistic and nice, most importantly clean. The beds could be better but other then that no complains.
