0.5 mi walk to this access point for Lost River! Here seen on a sunny fall day. When the leaves turn or the snow is falling, it's even more magical.
In July we added a railing around the hot tub area!

About this property

Cozy yurt w/hot tub & fire pit

The Space:

Morning light spills across the valley as mist lifts from the hills, and the quiet feels expansive, broken only by the rustle of the forest. The yurt’s wooden walls glow with the soft heat of a pellet stove, while the scent of pine drifts in from the surrounding acres. As night falls, steam rises from the hot tub and stars emerge overhead, inviting you to slow down and settle into the rhythm of the mountains.

Sleeping arrangements

The studio‑style yurt sleeps up to four guests. A king‑sized bed anchors the main living area, complemented by a sleeper sofa that folds out for additional guests. A loft above offers a quiet perch for reading, games, or simply enjoying a change of perspective.

Indoor living

A full bathroom and a well‑equipped kitchen provide the conveniences of home. A Smart TV offers evening entertainment, while board games and comfortable seating encourage screen‑free downtime. Pellet‑stove heating keeps the space cozy in chilly weather, and air‑conditioning is available for warmer days. Fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace make remote work or streaming effortless.

Outdoor living

Step onto the deck to take in wide‑open views of the ridge. A fire pit invites gatherings after dark, and a BBQ grill lets you enjoy meals al fresco. The private hot tub is a year‑round favorite, especially rewarding when the air is crisp. Free on‑site parking and additional street parking are available. A short half‑mile walk leads to Lost River, adding another layer of connection to the landscape.

Location & nearby experiences

Nature’s Edge sits on 35 acres of wooded land just outside Wardensville, West Virginia. Local restaurants, cafés, and art studios are a short drive away, while Lost River State Park—about 15 minutes distant—offers miles of forest trails. Seasonal conditions shape the experience, from quiet winter hikes to scenic summer drives. A nearby state route can carry some noise when trees are bare; a sound machine on the bedside table helps ensure restful sleep.

Perfect for…

Couples, solo travelers, or small groups seeking a peaceful mountain retreat will appreciate the blend of simple yurt living and modern comforts. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub on a cold night, working remotely with a view, or exploring nearby trails and towns, this yurt provides a calm and memorable base for your stay.

Wow, we can’t say enough about this spot. Private, beautiful, comfortable, great location, well stocked. All you could want for a romantic getaway (but there is also room to bring the kids if you wanted to! But you won’t want to once you see it!) Communication great. Absolutely no notes: 5/5! (We did pick up a tick hiking…please make sure you do a thorough check.)
If I could, I would spend my whole life in this moment…
You can’t see the hot tub here, but it was perfect…

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

What makes this property unique

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
