About this property

Mountain yurt w/hot tub & fire pit

Summary:

- Sleeps 4 | 1 bath | 2 beds – king & sleeper sofa

- Hot tub w/ valley view – perfect for crisp winter evenings

- Fire pit, deck & BBQ grill for outdoor downtime

- Pellet stove heating & A/C for year‑round comfort

- Fast WiFi w/ workspace, Smart TV & full kitchen for easy stays

- Half‑mile to Lost River trail – easy nature walks

The Space:

Morning light spills across the valley as mist lifts from the hills, and the quiet feels expansive, broken only by the whisper of the forest. As the temperature drops, the yurt stays warm and inviting, offering a front‑row seat to winter landscapes and long, peaceful evenings. Steam rises from the hot tub while stars emerge overhead, making it easy to slow down and settle into the rhythm of the mountains. Inside, the simple comforts of a modern yurt blend with the natural setting for a truly relaxing escape.

Sleeping arrangements

The studio‑style yurt sleeps up to four guests with a king‑sized bed and a sleeper sofa in the open living space. A loft above provides a quiet spot for reading, games, or simply enjoying a change of perspective.

Indoor comforts

A full bathroom and a kitchen equipped for easy meal preparation keep daily life convenient. Heating comes from a pellet stove, creating a cozy atmosphere during chilly months, while air conditioning is available for warmer days. Fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace support remote work or streaming, and a Smart TV offers evening entertainment. Board games and comfortable seating invite screen‑free downtime.

Outdoor living

Step onto the deck to take in wide‑open views of the ridge. A hot tub overlooking the valley is a favorite year‑round, especially rewarding in winter when crisp air meets warm water. A fire pit invites gatherings after dark, and a BBQ grill provides the option for outdoor cooking. Free parking on the premises and additional street parking are available.

Location & nearby experiences

Nature’s Edge sits on 35 acres of wooded land in Wardensville, West Virginia, just half a mile from Lost River and a short drive from local restaurants, cafes, and art studios. Lost River State Park, about 15 minutes away, offers miles of trails through dense forest. A nearby state route can carry some noise, particularly when trees are bare in winter; a sound machine on the bedside table helps ensure restful sleep. During snow or ice, a 4‑wheel‑drive vehicle or tire chains may be required, and travel insurance is recommended for winter visits.

Perfect for…

Couples, solo travelers, or small groups seeking a quiet mountain retreat with modern comforts. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub on a cold night, working remotely with a view, or exploring nearby trails and towns, this yurt provides a calm and memorable base for your stay.

Wow, we can’t say enough about this spot. Private, beautiful, comfortable, great location, well stocked. All you could want for a romantic getaway (but there is also room to bring the kids if you wanted to! But you won’t want to once you see it!) Communication great. Absolutely no notes: 5/5! (We did pick up a tick hiking…please make sure you do a thorough check.)
If I could, I would spend my whole life in this moment…
You can’t see the hot tub here, but it was perfect…

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

What makes this property unique

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
