We had a great time staying here on our trip to Cardiff. The location was perfect, we loved being able to walk into town for coffee and to grab food. We loved sitting in the sun room and reading while our son napped and watching the sunset on the patio after putting him to sleep. Thanks for a great trip!

This property was glorious! It was a great place to unwind, rest, relax and read! The decor is exquisite with its mix of Mexican, Surf/Beach, and Tiki-themed items. Vibrant talavera tiles, potted plants, terracotta flooring, and a lush tropical garden surround your experience. The ocean creates the backdrop from the airy and bright sunroom and adjacent bedroom and kitchen. There were multiple seating areas and all were extremely comfortable. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, and ensured guest satisfaction from start to finish. This location is the quintessential coastal getaway!

House was very clean, and the views were amazing. We met the host when we arrived, and she was very kind. Both the hosts who live above were very quiet the whole time we were there. The whole place is cuter in person.

Karen's place was absolutely perfect for our getaway to Cardiff by the Sea. The apartment was airy and beautifully decorated with many plants and whimsical decor items, inside and out. The sun porch was incredible-- breezy and cool with light pouring in from every door and window. Karen and Craig were delightful hosts. They couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. The location was perfect, walking distance to the Rail Trail, the Seaside Market (a gem), coffee shops, and restaurants. The beaches were right there, accessible for those who choose a day at the beach or those who just want to enjoy ocean views from the adjacent paved paths. We are so happy to have found this little place and we will definitely be back.

The location is fantastic, close to beach, Cardiff, and Encinitas. The house is great, there is a large sunroom where we were able to relax and read and even a sunbed for a nice nap. Nice bedroom with new bathroom and walk in closet. Kitchen is good size with a tv room next to it that has AC for warm summer days. Close to lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Nice outdoor area to lounge and even a Koy Pond. We would definitely stay again, and we only live 30 minutes away. Karen was very responsive.

Very charming and rustic with a relaxed vibe. Lovely hosts and great location walkable to the beach and shops. It's a great rental for a single person or a couple but probably less than ideal for 2 separate people. The sun room is a lovely space but can get quite hot in the afternoon. There are no curtains or window coverings at all in the sunroom so it gets very hot. There is also zero privacy for the person staying on the 2nd bed in the sunroom. That can be fine for many situations, but had I rented this for an old college friend and myself and didn't realize that the only bathroom is within the only bedroom which would have been a bit awkward at night using the bathroom. Combined with the lack of privacy, or window coverings, my friend wound up booking a 2nd hotel but luckily she had the means to do this.The kitchen is large and well stocked and the queen sized bed is very comfortable.

Ocean View Dream Getaway in Cardiff by the Sea is simply enchanting! You feel as if you are staying in a secret garden, with a lovely view of the ocean. The unit is light filled with multiple seating options, a charming bedroom and bath, and a roomy, well appointed kitchen. We never once ate out—the ambiance of the dining area was so wonderful, we didn’t want to be anywhere else. Karen and Craig are great hosts, and the unit is within walking distance of beaches, Seaside Market, and restaurants. This is where we would love to stay whenever we return to Cardiff to visit family and friends. Highly recommended!
