Perfect location to enjoy Sonoma Valley

Great location in a quiet neighborhood north of Sonoma town center. Easy access to great wineries via Aguas Calientes Rd and only 10 minutes from downtown. Game room, BBQ and yard need attention but the kitchen, gathering spaces and bed/bathrooms were great for a group of 8-10. Great comms with the host.

What was good? The house is roomy with ample space to spread out.Plenty of bathrooms but only in the bedrooms. Kind of a weird layout. The heat in the unit was ample and the housewares were plentiful. Oh, and super private in the trees. That’s where the good stuff stops. Too many repairs needed to list but clearly the house is a victim of deferred maintenance. The cleanliness of the house was fine however the outside looked as if it hasn’t been kept for a very long time. No landscaping, splintered wood everywhere and no outdoor spaces albeit a rundown grill area with a dead bird to boot. The game room was the least underwhelming room in the house. No heat in the garage - made for a cold party, at least four broken chairs, several broken tables, a football table that was unusable and a pool table that barely qualified to be called that. Most of the drop-pockets were broken, the felt was beyond stained, and in desperate need to be leveled. Only one of the six cues was usable (thank goodness we brought two of our own) made for the pool games less than ideal. We still managed to have a great time. We had several safety incidents occur, with one being serious. Owner: take your property off market and bring it back to a safe and usable condition. Strongly discourage renting this property. 1800 for two nights. Unreal.

The location of this house is truly great. It’s easy to get around, and having multiple bathrooms made the stay comfortable for our group. The beds were also surprisingly comfy, which we appreciated.That said, the property is definitely showing its age. Several areas of paint and plaster are cracked or dingy, and the exterior could really use a good pressure wash. Some of the furniture shown in the listing photos wasn’t actually there when we arrived, which was disappointing. And the living room furniture was straight-up weird — including a couch with rings and carabiners attached to it. The kitchen chair was another issue: one leg was missing a screw, gave out, and my friend ended up on the floor. Not the kind of excitement we were looking for.A handful of smaller problems didn’t help either. A few bathroom door handles were loose, one toilet was barely attached to the wall, and the patio furniture was missing entirely. None of these are unfixable, but together they make the home feel neglected. It would also be great if there were a coffee grinder in the kitchen — we brought a bag of beans and had no way to use them.This house really does have potential. With some attention, basic repairs, and a little care, it could easily become a 5-star stay.
