Full kitchen, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, washer, dryer, 2 fireplaces, wood provided, wifi, Smart TV/DVD, BBQ, 2 decks +porch out front. Walk to the river in Strawberry at an elevation of 5600ft, just minutes from Pinecrest Lake, Dodge Ridge, Leland Snow Play, Beardsley Res. 90 minutes from Yosemite, 30 minutes from Black Oak Casino.

CLEANING:
We have always and will continue to use clorox, lysol cleaners, disinfectant sprays, and laundry sanitizer, vinegar, bleach as appropriate for each surface type. Our crews wear protective masks and gloves. You should leave it tidy, rinsed dishes go into dishwasher so there's no ants etc. Cabins blankets and towels stay at the cabin. The crew does the rest.
We have always taken great care to protect our guests!

We enjoyed staying at this Cabin it was a relaxing time with the family only problem was that the kitchen chairs are really old and someone was barely sitting on chair when chair broke but other than that was great. Nice and quiet place to stay

Nice getaway in Strawberry

Our family enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was great to be in Strawberry and within walking distance (healthy walk) from the river. The living space is comfortable and great for a large group!

Amazing Christmas Vacation

Summer fun

Rented a cabin this year trying something new instead of the traditional tent camping an I have to say it was well worth it. The cabin was clean, cozy and well kept. I look forward to renting it again. Thank you for sharing ur cabin.

We had a wonderful weekend. We got turned around at first but Darlene came to us and drove us to the cabin. The cable was out due to the snow and she got someone out right away to fix! PLENTY of snow for the kids and very close to Dodge and casino. We will definitely go through Darlene again for are upcoming getaways!!

Cabin in the woods.

The place could use some maintenance. The linens and the towels had seen better days. It would have been better if we had brought our own. Instructions for the sat/tv would be help full. BTW the battery in the remote needs to be replaced.

Well that's interesting because the cabin has brand new hardwood floors, granite countertops, sinks, bathroom and fixtures. Is very nicely decorated. Has been well maintained as reviews say. I think its interesting that guests who are afraid they will get a bad review for not observing the rules try to hurt the owner who must make sure they follow the rules, for the safety of the cabin, guests and neighbors. We live in the forest and the rules are for a reason. The protection of our property. Darlene These are the kind of reviews we get on other sites as well. Great Weekend ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time with friends.The cabin was as advertised- spacious with plenty of room for a large group(14 in our group). The kitchen was great for all our cooking. Perfect Ski Cabin

What a wonderful cabin for a family ski trip. The proximity to Dodge Ridge is incredible. The kitchen holds what you will need for family meals. The open floor plan is ideal for a group gathering. We were able to squeezing 9 people around the table for dinner. The bedroom set up allows for multiple families. The beds are comfortable. The view from the decks is gorgeous. The lower level pool room is wonderful for game time and provides an additional sleeping space. Driveway easily held two SUV's. The host is organized, provided all information needed ahead of time and was easy to communicate with.

Place was awesome, just don't stay for a couple days. My biggest regret is not staying a week.

Great place and location, just the MapQuest took us on a mari-go-round trying to find the actual cabin. But I'm telling you, the out side decks, game room, kids lost in their own adventure and awe of the place. We forgot toilet paper so had to drive down to get some and the big knives for cutting we're dull but my babies, friends, and family all had a blast and really had fun. I was a bit shocked at how crowded the lake was for as small it is, so with no reception for most, you need to communicate the unloading and parking so to not have to drive around for over an hour trying to find the rest of your party when going to Pinecrest lake. I give a 9.5 or of 10

Old and needs repairs!

Not happy with the kitchen-old utensils and pots and pans must be 40 years old. Upstairs bathroom toilet seat(wood) is split and dangerous and child sized. Many entertainment items listed did not work. Blinds were broken, screens torn and the beds uncomfortable! We will not be renting this cabin anymore.

It's too bad when guests know they are losing their deposit they write poor reviews. You damaged the items you mentioned, but you neglected to mention that you allowed your children to carve into the wood furniture. It's a beautiful area and great cabin. Here's what others have to say. Cabin #11 We've stayed every summer for the last 8 years. We found our yearly cabin extremely clean and completely ready for us. There was a lovely note left by the cleaning team welcoming and explaining some of the extra cleaning steps. Best things about cabin #11: my family enjoys is the decks: upper is spacious and feels like we are in the trees, lower feels cool and private. The pool table room with pull out couch and extra bathroom keeps everyone happy. Those of us in charge of meals appreciate the full kitchen equipped with all essential tools. Variety of and comfort of beds in the 4 rooms fits our family well. My nieces favorite thing is that “it feels like home,” my Daughter says “spaciousness,” Husband appreciates water pressure in shower, Mom loves that the coffee pot is so clean, and I love the privacy, the quiet of the forest and sounds from the river. Another relaxing and safe year. We are Already booked for 2021. Paula L. Had a nice time... WiFi was difficult

We had a nice time, it was comfortable, everyone had their own room to stay in. The one big downside was the Wi-Fi. I can understand something being slow when you’re in the mountains, but when only one device could connect at a time and there were times when no one count connect at all, it is very frustrating. Especially when you don’t have cell phone service. You could WiFi call to explain the problem if you could connect to the WiFi but it’s slow and there are times your can’t even connect. On the second day of our stay I finally managed to use a WiFi app to see the connection speed. It said 3 devices were connected. I was 1 and no one else in our group was connected. Something was fishy. I had to drive up to Prinecrest just to get service.

Hi, it's a beautiful cabin with a beautiful view, walking to river, snow, fun, fresh air! The cabin was clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, lots of room, decks, pool table etc, just as described and pictured. When I started 36yrs ago the cabins didn't have tv let alone cable, VCR, dvd. I was shocked then and still today that people come to these beautiful mountains and want tv, wifi etc. But as advertised in the amenities the wifi is a Verizon jet pack (no landline, dsl, satellite) not for multiple devices, or streaming (no line of sight big trees). If it showed 3 devices then your group had their phones wifi activated, most people leave their phone wifi on and their phone searching for wifi. I assure you the vacant cabins on either side were not mysteriously connected. It's great family fun, get away from it all. Too bad you judged the cabin by your wifi connection. Barely any heat and terrible King bed

When we arrived it was 44* in the house and the power to the upstairs heater thermostats was off. The manager came within an hour or so to turn the power back on an program the thermostats, which automatically turned the heat down to 58* 4 x per day! They suggested we use the fireplace for heat and they provided a ton of great firework, but no kindling to start a fire or an ax to cut any wood into kindling. We regularly use a fireplace at home, so we know how to start and keep a fire going, but this was ridiculous. I don't know if it was broken or the chimney needed cleaning, but we could barely get a fire going and it produced little heat. In the end it took over 48 hours for the temperature inside to reach 67* (max temperature allowed by thermostat). Then shortly after the thermostat would reset to 58* and we would have to bump it back up again. Another issue was the King bed. This bed was so concaved in the middle you could see it from across the room. Sleeping on it was so uncomfortable we moved to the twin beds instead. Really disappointing. The view was nice and the neighborhood is amazing, but I'm really shocked and disappointed with the heat issue. We will never rent this or any other house by Pincrestvacationrentals.com again.

Hi, I'm very sorry you feel this way. Cabin #11 is a lovely family cabin. There are heaters and thermostats in every room. The thermostats are programed to 67 and cycle down to 60 (pge recommended settings) during the day when most guests are out for the day. As you said you can raise the heat any time you like. There are also 2 wood stoves that heat the cabin without any other source, and it is advertised on homeaway amenities and description as well as my site to use wood to supplement heat. Guests do it every weekend. It is a cabin, we have wood stoves for heat. As you said we provide wood. We also provide safe firestarter logs, and advise guests to bring them as well on the rental agreement. We do not leave axes because children could be harmed. As for the king bed it was purchased brand new in June. The area is beautiful and the cabin is wonderful for family vacations. We want all our guests to have great stays, so sorry you had difficulty. Great location, plenty of space, house on the older side

We rented the location for a week in early September. The location is great, its a short drive from Pinecrest lake and the river running through Strawberry. The river is technically walkable, but its a long, long walk. We had family coming and going, at the peak there were 6 adults and 6 kids and they fit fine, if not a little snug due to the bottom level being only open to 18+. Pool table down there, I assume that is why. The house is functioning, but it is clearly in an "old rental" state, where there is not a lot of financial incentive to make big fixes. The windows and screens were old 20 years ago. Screen door missing downstairs, upstairs screen door functioning poorly. Creaky deck appears safe (I got under and inspected), but its going to need work in the not-too-distant future. To be fair, the front bathroom and kitchen countertops had been updated. Wifi worked, but very slow. Don't plan on any heavy data usage. Dishwasher worked fine, washer & dryer there but didn't use. plenty of dishes of all sorts. As they clearly state, bring your own toiletries and such. Paper towels, toilet paper, soap-- bath, dish, laundry, etc. There were towels there, enough to get the job done, but if you like your plush towels, bring them. Property management was very responsive and communicated well, from my interactions I can see why someone would hire them to manage their property. PG&E was planning to shut off power and they came by the house to alert us beforehand (Thank you). Summing it up, location and management great, house big but old and not in best repair. If competitively priced and you like the area, go for it.

Hi, I'm glad you had good week, it is a great location the area is peaceful and beautiful! The cabin is big for family fun. There are many upgrades and it is a mountain cabin, just as pictured and advertised. It has new wood floors, upgraded granite counter tops, sinks, fixtures in bathroom and kitchen on main level, brand new roof. The pool room is the newest addition. I appreciate your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, it was a weird week with pge fire prevention power shut off and forestry closing the lake area, I get it... it was a pleasure to serve you. The property was clean and well equipped except for the heating system (the lower level game room with a sofa bed was listed as an extra bedroom, but it was unusable as it didn't have a heater or a stove). Communication with the host was great. We had a snowstorm and a power outage, but the host communicated with us well and their crew was very helpful with getting our cars, that were in deep snow, out of the driveway.

I'm glad you a great time. The power went out as you were leaving. My crew worked really hard with trucks, tractors and shovelers to get to your car that was stuck. The gameroom has 2 wall heaters and a wood stove to heat the whole room. The wood was provided right outside the front door. The snow was beautiful and we served you well! Thank you, Darlene

Loved our time in Strawberry

Darlene, I wanted to thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. the cabin met all of our needs, and everyone had a fabulous time. Plenty of room for all and in great proximity to Pinecrest. Hi, Randall I'm so glad you had a fabulous time once again this year. Yes the heat wave was a pain. Not much we can do but use fans and sleep with the windows open. It cools off a lot up here in the forest during evening. The decks are really nice off both main and lower levels. Listening to the river below the property is very relaxing. Good house for family getaway

This house fulfills the basic needs of a vacation home; bathroom, beds and a kitchen. Its clean and well kept. A few things around the house could use some updating to help boost ratings and favorability. The location isn’t the best in terms of reception and WiFi but it’s 10 minutes from Pinecrest Lake. The price is great and fit all of my family without breaking our wallets; Overall I’d stay here again. Thanks Darlene!

Hi, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. The cabin is close to everything, Pinecrest lake is five minutes, river, reservoirs 10min, hiking, biking and fishing. It is the forest so wifi is as advertised ,line of sight. When everyone is up here on vacation the towers get overwhelmed. It is comfortable for family groups and many happy vacations. Beautiful cabin

A bunch of games. Perfect location. Forest is the backyard. Very clean and the manager was super responsive.
