We really enjoyed walking around the property and exploring! It was a great location to feel like you’re in the middle of no where but not be too far from a grocery store either!
The property was great. We loved the apple trees and fishing pond! The house had a very cozy and well decorated interior. All the appliances and supplies you will need for your stay were provided.
Beautiful picturesque location. Even the drive upto the place is utterly picturesque. Truly private. very helpful and kind host. Wish we could have stayed longer. Easy access to many little hamlets. Will definitely come back.
Wonderfully remote and beautiful property with fabulous views. Ponds, fields, woods, mountains and wildlife!
Clean, comfortable cabin- well equipped. Host was easy to communicate directly with. Several nice restaurant choices in town.Absolute pleasure- will return.

This place was exactly what we needed to relax. Very clean and provided everything we needed to really enjoy our stay. Communication with the host was perfect and I couldnt ask for more. Thank you so much!!
The cabin was exactly as described.
Beautiful surroundings and gorgeous views . If you want disconnect and recharge this is your spot. Highly recommend 👌
We had an amazing vacation. Coming from the city, it was a great place to get away from all the noise., surrounded with nature, quietness and privacy. The host was very accommodating. Were looking forward to come back.
Perfect weekend getaway for me and my husband to unwind after a long stressful time. The house was very clean and all the basics were covered as advertised. Property and surrounding area are picturesque and serene. Would book again!
We had yet another good week at the Hobart House (as we call it), with all the quiet and comfort we enjoyed in previous visits. In this age of sprawl, the expansive views were intact, and the house itself was clean and comfortable. We took a hike up and over the mountain behind the property, enjoyed the pond, picked a few wild raspberries and sat around the firepit to soak up the cook evening air. We'll be back!

Overall a relaxing little vacation. Some more attention to detail would have added to our experience. The dishwasher wasn’t working, the propane tank for the bbq didn’t get us through the weekend, indoor floor mat would have made keeping the white floor clean a lot easier. Some instructions on where to put dirty linens also would have been appreciated. Only saw 3 ponds, one was usable.
If you are looking to relax and sit by the fire this is your best bet.
Not sure if I would return though.

Awful Alarm System
The land is beautiful. The house is decent and tastefully furnished. The major downside and spoiler of our vacation was the silent alarm that kept going off by the host indicating there was a big fire. The host provides a fire pit, but the alarm sensor must be too sensitive, because she kept getting alerted and the images on the camera at night show a fire that looks much bigger and scarier than it actually was. The host got furious at us and gave us a bad review because of it. If she doesn't want fires made on her property, she should remove the fire pit. Up until that point, the host had been nice to deal with and easy to communicate with.
The property lists 116 acres and 2 ponds but almost all of the acreage is not accessible because of overgrown vegetation. The dishwasher was broken and we were not informed. No sponge no dish rack and no place to dry hand washed dishes. The kitchen lighting was so dim. The refrigerator motor was very noisy. The shower could use a grab bar for safety of guests.
We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a herd of deer grazing outside our front door. It was private with 116 acres that we enjoyed exploring.
The larger of the two ponds had largemouth bass eager to be caught, and my husband accommodated them.
If you are a lover of nature, you will love this!
Lovely home. Very clean. One wish a "welcome to our home letter" including nearest restaurant, grocery stores, and anything one might need to know about the home. Also, how we should leave thing at end of stay, garbage, used linens and the like. Shower is slippery might want to put grippy thing on the floor of it. Overall great place!
Bye far the best place i have stayed with my family plenty of room no neighbors if you bring food you never have to leave the property the ponds where beautiful the views where great just a great place over all for the price you cant beat this cabin its the best place to go to just diconect from the outside world
The property is located in a serene setting and the picture of country. The house is cute and has some updates. There is music. tv, movies and a few games. We did bring our own games to our usual liking. We hiked up and down the driveway as the hiking trails, for us, weren't marked as to know where we were going and so for safety, we stayed close to the house. We heard a pack of coyotes on the kill, which is another reason we stayed close to the house. We actually heard them 3 times that day. We enjoyed the pond, although the water level is low, due to drought. We did catch some fish, always a fun day. We also brought up some chairs as we fished and did some boating as well. We enjoyed making s'mores every night, which always brings back memories of our childhood. We make a huge family feast of food and enjoyed a cookout on the barbecue.
Michelle was in contact with us and responded quickly. There are plenty of towels, sheets, utensils, dishes and a dishwasher, which is a huge plus. You will have a nice time here that is for sure. We do suggest bringing good hiking boots and gear as there are steep hills. We all had such a great time regrouping with our family as a much-needed trip. You will love this place and Michelle is a great host. Enjoy your time.
The home was a perfect weekend getaway with spectacular views. We enjoyed the quietness of the location and the pond to fish and boat. Doing yoga in the morning overlooking the pond and mountains was such a treat. The home was so quaint and perfect for our small family getaway. It was stocked with everything and then some! Just bring your food and get ready for nature!
Comfortable little house, everything we needed was stocked. We all enjoyed an idyllic 3 days of exploring, hiking, boating, swimming and more. We didn’t need to leave the grounds once for entertainment or supplies. Our 2 active boys had more than enough nature to keep them occupied.
