*IN-TOWN -WALK TO EVERYTHING!!* ***This is a cozy, adorable historical home in a great location.***LOCATION**:You can WALK TO EVERYTHING !!!! Walk to: the Ferry, Vineyard Haven Harbor/Marina ,Quaint Main Street, grocery stores, galleries, restaurants, shops, Owen Beach Park, mini golf, playground, movie theater, live theater, library, baseball field, playgrounds.Owen Park Beach is a short walk away (0.5 of a mile!) with views there of the ferries coming and going.Located close to the bike path.Mink Meadows Golf Course is less than 2 miles away.Kayaks and boats can be rented at a nearby marina. Gym and spa services are available two blocks from the house. The famous Black Dog Restaurant is located right off the ferry dock. Public transportation is easily accessible. **THE FIRST FLOOR** has an eat -in kitchen with table and eat-in bar, a dining room, living room with flat-screen TV, full bathroom and one bedroom with a twin bed. Hardwood floors throughout the home. **THE 2ND FLOOR***: has 3 bedrooms ( two bedrooms with double beds & a Queen master bedroom with flat-screen TV. There are (2) A/C window units & window fans . *** BACK DECK / FRONT PORCH/ OUTSIDE** The back door (from kitchen) opens to an adorable deck with white lantern lights for fabulous relaxing evenings. The deck has a dining table, built-in bench seating, adirondack chairs and a Weber gas grill . BRAND NEW HOT WATER PRIVATE ENCLOSED OUTDOOR SHOWER!!!There is a large grassy yard and parking is available in the driveway. Relax on the front porch with two rocking chairs and a bench. NOTE: this is an older historical home : the staircase to the 2nd floor is steeper and narrower than homes built today-- that is how they were built back then. There is a hand rail on each side and non-slip tread on all stairs. Summer activities on the Vineyard include weekly farmers markets and craft shows, visits to antique shops and art galleries, nature walks and miles of beaches.

Great stay

The home was as shown in the pictures and spotlessly clean; kudos to the cleaning team. We really enjoyed walking to town, the beach umbrellas and chairs that were provided and the outdoor shower after the beach.

Lovely old family home in easy reach of central Vineyard Haven

We had a perfect stay in this lovely old home - easy for Vineyard Haven, for any number of beaches, straightforward arrangements, a lovely porch to sit out on, plentiful fans and aircon to stay cool. For us it was perfect, Martha's Vineyard at its best.

The property was very nice and comfortable. Felt like a home that you were borrowing from friends not some of the sanitized rentals you can get. Great location very close to the downtown of Vineyard Haven. Rooms were good size and everyone fit without issue. Would absolutely stay again.

Brian Admaral, the owner of the house, was very helpful anytime I had question he answered it in a timely manner. He was very pleasant to deal with. The house was very quaint and charming. We loved the outdoor shower, backyard, and the front porch. I would stay here a million times over. The only thing I wished the house had was a full length mirror, so I could see how I looked in my outfits once I got dressed for the day.

Great location close to town!

My husband and I stayed here with our two young daughters. We made excellent use of the deck, grill and backyard space. We also appreciated the nearby playgrounds, short walk to town, and the outdoor shower. We plan to return next summer!

Delightful stay for a family of 6, including 4 kids ages 7 to 13

The location of the property is ideal - walkable to many excellent shops, stores, and dining options. There are many great spaces to convene, including the porch, a back patio with table and chairs, kitchen table, dining table, and living room. The property owners are very responsive and thoughtful. Perfect Martha's Vineyard Cottage!

We loved our stay in this house! It was perfect for our family of 3 teen boys -- clean, cozy, easy & beyond well-equipped for our every need. The owner was great and very communicative. The house location was great. We enjoyed our morning walk to the Main Street for coffee and such. The house was what you’d expect on the island…old but cute. Everything was as described and the owners food recommendations were spot on. Only wish there was a bathroom on the second floor but that’s an old house for you! Wonderful stay and vacation!.

We enjoyed our stay in this property. It was great to be able to walk to downtown Vineyard Haven and not worry about finding a parking spot. The big dining room table was a plus for us because we brought and played lots of board games. The outdoor shower was a morning treat!

Indian Summer on The Vineyard

We had a fabulous time in this great house exuding the character of The Vineyard. The house is warm and inviting, the furnishings comfortable, the location convenient (and walkable) and everything you need is already there. We enjoyed breakfast on the front porch in the rocking chairs and evenings on the back porch under the stars. We even had a few turkeys trot through one day. Wonderful home - would definately stay here again.

Our stay was amazing! This house has plenty of space with 4 bedrooms, great indoor and outdoor space. The location is perfect, we walked into town and had breakfast at the Black Dog. Nice older house in great location

Loved the walking distance to town, great back deck and outdoor shower, the kitchen was stocked with everything we could need. The owner and rental agent were very responsive when we thought we left an item behind. We are not used to no central air but the rooms have AC units and cooled quickly. The beds were very comfortable.

Good location and reasonable price

The listing was very accurate so be sure to read the details about the home and the requirements. It is an older home with some planned upgrades. You find everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of space for dining and relaxing. The location was perfect, very close to ferry and shopping and dining. The owner and agent were very good with communication and left numbers in case we needed anything during our stay. Hopefully you will get good weather (we had 4 days of rain) and you will spend the majority of your time outside! For us, we enjoyed the space, some good games and movies and found it a comfortable place to stay dry!!

Great stay in a good spot

Well equipped home, updated kitchen. Bathroom on main floor is a tad inconvenient for upstairs bedrooms. Outdoor shower was amazing and wonderful. There’s a table and chairs in the attached shed/closet that we used to add seating to the deck which worked well. I bet there was a way to use speakers outside but I didn’t see it - that would have been awesome. Some little holes that could be sealed up in kitchen. Overall excellent!

Amazing location and cozy

This was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard. I recommend this rental. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and the Vineyard Haven ferry. Oak Bluffs and Edgartown are short 10 minute drives away. The rental is cozy and the beds were comfortable. Nothing is fancy -- it's a beach cottage -- so as long as that's what you want, you'll be happy. Note that the staircase is very narrow and the only bathroom is downstairs. That would make me nervous to rent if I had kids younger than 4-5, or anyone with mobility challenges. The property manager and owner are both very friendly and communicate actively. Thanks!

Stayed here for a week with the family. Easy walk to downtown Vinyard Haven. Nice deck which was shady by dinner time. We set up some lawn games in the yard to use after getting back from the beach. The house fit all our needs and was comfortable for us. It’s an older home (1880’s) so the stairs are steep and the steps are small which could be an issue for folks who have trouble getting around but it wasn’t an issue for us. Brian the owner reached out to make sure everything was good and to let us know to contact him is we needed anything. All in all a nice place at decent price. Love the outdoor shower!
