If you are looking for a peaceful mountain retreat, this is it! Be sure to download all directions and instructions before you leave for the property, as you will lose cell service miles before you get to the cabin. There are extensive trails, no road noise or light pollution, no traffic, but close enough to drive to Hendersonville, Flat Rock and other towns for great food, shopping and local events. The cabin was cozy and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. We highly recommend!
Cabin is well kept with convenient access to a variety of trails and points of interest. Small “roughing-it” elements to make you feel like it’s not full-on glamping :)
My husband and I, and our two dogs, had an enjoyable stay! The cabin had everything we needed for our short trip (basic kitchen supplies for cooking, clean bathrooms, spacious upstairs bedroom area, scenic outdoor space and privacy/quiet) and was a short drive to some nice hiking spots. The only minor issue we had was one of our dogs getting a taste of a baited mouse trap in the corner of the kitchen. (If you stay with a curious pup, I recommend checking around for traps when you first arrive so you know the spots to keep your dog away from.) The owner was very responsive and polite when we had to call late in the evening to double check what the bait was made of. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again in the future and recommend it to friends!
Secluded and quiet, the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway. Short drive to Hendersonville, Ashville and multiple state parks with excellent hiking trails.
Enjoyed our stay! Loved the cabin, firepit and property. Unique and rustic furnishings and decor complimented the cabin, with updated kitchen and baths! Good location to Flat Rock and Hendersonville. Would definitely stay again.

A very remote and secluded place, exactly what you look for in a cabin, or at least what we look for. The scenery on the way there is beautiful; my daughters loved it. The cabin was very clean except for some animal hair, I think dog hair, on the bed sheets, even though the rules state that animals are not allowed on the furniture or beds. My husband is a bit sensitive to dog hair, so... well... aside from that, everything was fine, and the host was very attentive and friendly the whole time.
This cabin has all the comforts of home and the secluded privacy of a mountain getaway. We had another relaxing visit to the veranda - and we will return!

I grew up in the Northeast and would visit my grandmother in NC often. I have always loved vacationing in the NC mountains.
Why they chose this property
I bought this property because my girls and I loved the mountains of NC. There is so much to do and see and the people are great. This property has tons of peace and privacy but is within 20 minutes of down town Hendersonville and all the shopping, restaurants, and exploring you would ever want.
What makes this property unique
We love the cool mountain air, spring and fall colors, and having a place to get away from it all, yet be close enough to all the activities you could ever want. You get the best of both worlds. Relax in the hammocks on the veranda or kick back on the large porch. Hike down to the pond or stream and listen to the relaxing sounds of the water and birds.
