When you first walk in the house is beautiful and spacious. The view is fantastic! I do wish there was more seating outside. We used some beach chairs. The refrigerator kept beeping the whole time if you don’t give it a shove to close. It said the place was sprayed for bugs but we killed 4 little roaches in our stay. Not ok! We made sure we left no food out too. The vent in the upstairs bathroom was dripping water and looked to have mold around it. The fan in one of the bedrooms didn’t work. Two of the chairs at each table were broken. I will say the beds were comfy and like I said it’s a spacious house. It just needs some TLC.

Being right on the beach was a must with 3 kids, communication was excellent with Beach Ball Properties. We did have a small incident with a random drunk couple that walked from the beach & come up to our porch and sat down by my car which was a little concerning but beach ball properties had no trespassing signs put up the next morning to make our stay a little more comfortable with children. Other than that, we really loved our stay! Great communication and easy check-in/check-out. We love when things run smoothly.

Perfect Beach Vacation

Beach house was clean and fir our family of 5 perfectly. This house is lovated in a nice quiet area with limited public beach access. We went during spring break and it was quiet and relaxing. We would definitely stay here agian.

We just left this beautiful property. This beach house is an absolute gem. We fell in love with the wide, expansive deck which gave amazing, panoramic views of the gulf. When they say close to everything, they mean it. The place is roomy and has everything you need. When we come back to Gulf Shores this is where we will want to stay.

Nice House with a Great Location

The location of this house is great. It is far enough down the beach to avoid the crowds from the high rise condos but still close enough so that everything is a short drive away. The kitchen and common spaces are nice and open. The covered porch is awesome.

Location was excellent and beach was beautiful! Deck was good size and top notch outdoor furniture. Beds were comfy. Had to go buy a hair dryer even though it said one would be provided. We also purchased hot pads which I thought should have come with a claimed fully stocked kitchen. Overall good stay.

Pros and Cons from our stay at Alabama White Sands

Pros: *Great location in Gulf Shores - just far enough out to be secluded but close enough to several dining options. *Access to the beach is amazing. No complaints! *Layout of the home was perfect for our extended family including two small children. *Communication from Beachball Properties was timely and efficient throughout the whole process. *The home had some sand toys, chairs, etc. for use stored under the deck. *The air conditioning was fabulous and even kept upstairs cool the whole time during hot temps. *There were fans in the closet we did not find at first but a nice touch to added comfort. *Thankful to have pots pans and an airfryer - I'm pretty sure we used all appliances. *Has vacuum and brooms/ dust pan. Cons: I'm sorry to say but there were many. *The home did not have the "home-y" feel. Decor and furniture outdated and honestly, not that clean. Bare minimum clean. Dirty hand print and grime on exterior doors. *It looked and felt straight rental. *Carpeted stairs and landing were not clean. *Mold on ceiling and walls in upstairs shower on arrival. Ventilation is poor. *Refrigerator door does not close properly and beeps if not purposefully pushed in. *The master bedroom door drags the tile and is noisy. *Listing of items available like chairs, etc. not listed but would've been helpful to know. Consider sending pics to renters before their stay to show what is supplied. *Shower heads and lever to outdoor shower was broken prior to arrival. Looked to have been broken for quite some time. There is a water spigot upstairs but needs a hose to be most useful. *Rail at second landing of steps broken and lose. Could be dangerous if not attentive to children. *Not enough smoke detectors - just one plugged in downstairs in kitchen. This place needs an overhaul and soon. Would love to come back but not under current conditions.

Perfect Family Getaway

We left snowy Canada and walked straight into paradise. White sandy beach straight off the porch, outdoor shower for sand, perfect location (not in the busiest area but still close enough), clean and comfortable accommodations. It was awesome. Didnt realize there were two sofabeds as well. Plenty of room. Tried 4 different icecream places, loved Nonna's pizza oven, Sunliner diner, pirate mini golf, gatorland, OWA/Tropic Falls, bamahenge, etc. But really we just loved being on the beach boogie boarding, swimming, playing football, and reading in the sun. Great place. Check in and out is easy. Highly recommend. Only thing is there are no beach supplies (chairs, sand toys, beach towels etc) so keep in mind youll have to purchase or rent those yourself. Alvins Island has all of that.
