This apartment is a perfect space to work as well as get in and out of Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco with relative ease throughout your stay. It is located on the second floor and there is a two-person table situated in front of multiple windows offering a streetview where you can easily set up a workstation. It is a brief walk to the Berkeley Bowl and an even shorter walk to Whole Foods. We stayed during the summer, so it could sometimes get a little warm in the afternoons, but a cross breeze through the opened windows and a tower fan (that we brought) always quickly took care of the issue. The Ashby BART stop is very convenient, whether you choose to walk or drive. If you like record stores, Amoeba Music is less than a mile away up Telegraph Ave. Seemingly any level of dining that you could want, from Fast Food to Gourmet, is located nearby somewhere on Shattuck Ave. It is clean and tidy, and the neighborhood has a distinct charm (we literally bought lemonade one weekend from a kid with a stand set up on the sidewalk to Whole Foods). Enjoy!
This is such a gorgeous, sunny and spacious private apartment on a very quiet street. Everyone in the other apartments are nice, keep to themselves, and are super respectful of each other. The location is great too: close to lots of great shopping, UCB, etc.
We were in need of a place to stay after an unfortunate fire on the roof of our apartment complex. The hosts were super responsive and friendly, and the place was a home away from home. Gave us a clean and comfy space to allow us to get settled and ready for our next steps.
Had a great time at Brent‘s place. Perfectly located for walking to my daughter‘s place 15 minutes away. You get what you pay for and I mean this in a positive way. This place is cheaper than some of the other places we looked at but more than adequate. This accommodation is not luxurious. A little traffic noise, but not bothersome at all. Overall recommended.
Perfect location for our needs. Calm quiet street. Nice place to work from— beautiful natural light!Host was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay there again.

Why they chose this property
South Berkeley is the best. It's a long walk or short bike ride to UC Berkeley's campus. On the other hand, downtown Oakland is a 10 minute drive. And with the Ashby BART a few blocks away, getting to San Francisco couldn't be easier (the drive is also just ~25-30 mins into the SF).
The neighborhood is relatively quiet and very walkable, but there is plenty happening to keep you busy and entertained... it's a great mix! Whole Foods and Berkeley Bowl (an awesome grocery store) are both easily walkable.
I really can't say enough about the neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
This top floor apartment is so sunny. There are bay windows in the living room and kitchen that give it so much light, and so much greenery. There are also large windows in the bedroom to keep it uplifting and bright (with blackout curtains, of course, when you need them!)
