Great location! No AC except in bedroom (this was noted in the listing). There was a fan in the unit but it was broken. Fortunately, we were able to fix it which made it more tolerable

Amazing views of paradise!

Very nicely updated condo, kitchen well stocked with good selection of cooking appliances and nice glassware. Perfect location for exploring the whole island. Enjoyed the quiet beautifully landscaped pool area. Comes with a few beach going supplies, could use new beach chairs. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place.

Excellent view and convenient location

We enjoyed the excellent ocean view everyday, having breakfast on the balcony. The unit was conveniently located for grocery stores, cafes and right across from a Shell gas station. We cooked our meals often and we are thankful for the stainless steel cookware, well maintained dinner set and silverwares. For sightseeing, we enjoyed the beautiful Waimea Canyons, Poipu beach and the beaches at the north side.

Great condo for a reasonable rate

This condo is not a resort property, so if that’s your expectation you are in the wrong place. If you want a great place to stay while exploring Kauai this is a wonderful vacation condo though! My wife and I did not spend much time in the condo itself because we were mostly out exploring or doing activities, but it was comfortable and in a very convenient location to the rest of the island. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful view. Great location

Location was great. Property was well kept. Kitchen was large and entire place was clean. Upgrades recommended : new mattress on pull out (springs are coming through) , new mattress in bedroom , and larger washer and dryer. Instructions were to wash most of linens before leaving but it’s nearly impossible with how small the washer and dryer was . Overall , beautiful place . Pool was cozy and refreshing . Wished there was a hot tub also

Very well equiped spacy condo

The building is very well maintained and the condo is provided with everything you possibly need for cooking, washing and beach! Everything is clean and functions well! We had a problem with the fan and the owner promptly let the fan be repaired! Thank you! The condo is well located when you come by car and there are restaurants, a marketplace and a nice bakery nearby. Though you don't hear the road, it is nearby and it makes the location a bit less peaceful. The view on the ocean is great but the water looked a bit too rough for us to go in. Overall a very good stay!

Good value for the price

We stayed at Wailua Bay View for 10 days in early April. Overall property is nice: Mark, the property manager, is very friendly and knowledgeable about area. Property is well-maintained: pool is clean, all plants are beautiful, no chicken on the property :) The apartment we stayed in provides all needed for comfortable staying: kitchen, washer/dryer, cozy balcony and breathtaking view of Wailua Bay. Proximity to hiking trails (e.g. Sleeping Giant Trail), beaches and nice local food (best price/value poke is at Foodland Waipouli) and gift shopping at Coconut Marketplace made our stay unforgettable. Wailua is also comfortably located between North and South shores which makes it a perfect place for a first-time Kauai visitor, like me.

Would stay again

condo was in a good central location within walking distance to some food, beaches and shopping but very near the main road. Other than that great view. Bed felt a little worn out and did not like the fact that it was fully carpeted, which in the humidity and sand was not a good choice. We did see a few roaches but in a rental that is pretty common. They weren't too bad. unit is on the third floor so if you have a lot of heavy bags, which we did it was a little difficult. All in all it was a good rental and we would not mind staying again.

Promise Kept

The property delivered well on the owner’s promises: spectacular views and everything that tickles your fancy within reach.From the balcony, the condo offers an unobstructed view of the ocean. A slight breeze invites you out on to the beach. To the north of the condo you’ll find bars and restaurants, to the south you’ll find plenty of open space and opportunities to dip your toes in the water. We did our best to take advantage of the condo’s central location: local hiking (Hoopii Falls was particularly beautiful), golf at Wailua, even made the short drive to check out the Napali Cliffs. This location is definitely on the short list for our next vacation.

The location right on the ocean is ideal. The only downside is the Road beside the complex can get very busy.The renovation set of been done are very nice, but there is more to do such as replacing the old fridge microwave and dishwasherIt would’ve been very nice to have an air conditioner in the living room even a small portable one because it sure got hot

Great location and beautiful view

The location couldn't be any more convenient, both for getting around the island, and services (restaurants, retail, etc.) + the beach within walking distance. The view is awesome with the ocean literally at your feet below. Plus, during the entire stay the condo was very quiet. The pool is a very nice amenity, convenient, clean and not heavily used while we were staying there. The bed is very comfortable with clean linens available throughout. The condo is well stocked with all the necessary provisions. One downside is the unit could use a bit of TLC, touch-up, minor repairs, etc. Having only stairs and no elevator was not a problem, although it is up two stories above ground level (third floor). Good to keep that in mind with suitcases and if someone needs assistance. The biggest downside, unfortunately, was the lack of air conditioning, except for the bedroom, which was greatly appreciated, as the rest of the unit was unbearably hot, even using all the fans and opening the doors to the outside. We were well aware of it not having air conditioning, but never expected such intense heat inside. It improved after about three days, and we wondered if the unit had been closed up for some time? We did go down to the management office a couple of times to inquire about it, but although open, no one was there. And, yes, we could have called and left a message, but didn't bother. Anyway, otherwise for the discomfort, there were many pluses too.

Beautiful front row seat to the ocean. The condo was clean and provided a nice place to lay your head after all the adventures of the day. A quiet condo for complete relaxation.

Wow. Just Fantastic!

Fantastic view. Clean and comfortable. Better than the photos. AC in the bedroom worked fine. Path to the beach is via sidewalk next to main road. Surf can be rough, so beach is mostly used for surfing and fishing. The sound of the surf is soothing, but is loud enough that it may be too much for some people. We appreciate the added touches of coffee, cookies, and soaps. Pool was very pleasant. Convenient location to both sides of the island. We would stay here again.

Great view and location

Communication was excellent, the unit has everything you need. The location is great, with a bakery right across the street, walking distance to Lava Lava club restaurant and the Coconut Marketplace. The property is quiet also which was a huge plus for us.
