Thank you for the sweet review! We enjoyed hosting you!!
This little cabin couldn't be cuter! We were pleasantly surprised by how neat and clean it was, and the decor was beautiful; soft colors everywhere and fun little accents that made it feel very homey. We'd LOVE to stay here again some day and highly recommend it!
In the Meadow Cabin would be our choice again! This clean, comfortable and well appointed cabin was the perfect pet friendly place to stay. Close to ARK and town. Our host was wonderful and responsive. Thank you for pup treats and chocolate for us!
Check in was very easy. Owner communicated instructions and when accesible. Cabin and available property were beautiful. Walking trails were marked and maintained for easy walking conditions. Will happily stay here again!

Kasey and her family were terrific guests. They cleaned everything; you wouldn't have even known they stayed! We hope they visit again!
Cabin was nice and cozie but very, very small! My husband was outside enjoying seeing deer until the owner came by with loud side by side and scared them all away! That was very annoying! And he wasn’t even doing anything on the property, just being nosy, I guess?! We definitely didn’t have the privacy that we’ve had in our past rentals. That was disappointing. We try to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the world when we get away. That didn’t happen! We were very inconvenienced on our last day having to hurry and get out of the way for their delivery! Check out was supposed to be 11:00, that didn’t happen either! Just very inconsiderate. I would not recommend this place to family or friends. We were very unhappy with our stay!
Dutch and Cindy are amazing hosts. "IN THE MEADOWS" Cottage/cabin was very cute and fit our needs to a T. Cabin is secluded and peaceful with plenty of private trails to wander around on the 111 acres.Host were very responsive and answered questions promptly. Cabin was very clean, contained a personal note to us from the host. Out of a dozen VRBO cabins my wife and I have stayed in over the last ten years, this one is our favorite. Look forward to another trip to rent this cabin again. Review calls for up to 5 stars, IN THE MEADOWS AND THE HOST, deserve a 12.
I am originally from north Cincinnati, Ohio, but my husband and I moved to Kentucky after retiring from the school system. I am now a professional photographer, specializing in weddings, school events, high school seniors, and family portraits. My grandchildren are my pride and joy, and we cherish our time together. We also have three older horses we’ve had for over 20 years—we might have worn them out, or maybe it's the other way around! One of my favorite things is hosting guests in our cozy tiny home. I strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where everyone can relax and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. I hope our guests enjoy exploring the beautiful nature surrounding us as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
I’m lucky enough to live on 111 acres at the end of a dead-end road, surrounded by fields, trees, and the beauty of nature! I just love the sounds of cows mooing to the birds chirping. It feels like a safe oasis away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There’s so much freedom here, and each season brings something special to enjoy. As a photographer, I like to think of this place as my outdoor studio—there are endless opportunities for amazing photos! Kentucky truly is a wonderful place to call home!
What makes this property unique
Our beautiful 111 acres is a peaceful haven for nature lovers. Stroll along our winding hiking trails and explore sparkling creeks while an old cemetery nearby whispers stories of the past. In the warmer months, vibrant wildflowers bloom in colorful fields, creating a stunning backdrop. Keep an eye out for the diverse array of wildlife here, including fascinating animals and birds that add to the magic of this special place.
