Beautiful spot, we had a great time. A few things were not clear upon check in/out but a phone call and we were able to get in the house. It should be noted somewhere that the master bedroom/king size bed, is the one on top of the garage and not in the actual house. Very nice area, very quiet, great to have our dog with us and walk up to the power lines a few times a day. Town was close and continent and the house had lots of things to do if you didn’t want to leave the property. Caught a small mouth bass on a fly rod at the end of the dock. Sat and listened to the loons. Thanks for the memories!

Wonderful time

My partner, myself, and my parents really enjoyed our visit. The lake is stunning and the proximity to Rt 1 makes it easy to get to the towns in the area.

Absolutely perfect place!

From the moment we drove up the long dirt road and into these magical woods, I knew I was going to love this home! It is clear that work has been done to update the perfectly equipped modern kitchen and bathroom, but the charm of elements like the beautiful old stone fireplace have remained. Perfection. The views from the wall to wall windows in the living area really can't disappoint and the primary suite above the garage has the most comfortable king bed... a perfect place to be serenaded to sleep by the Loons that really do add to the ambience and relaxing atmosphere here! Our group enjoyed both calming activities like making s'mores around the crackling fire in the firepit overlooking the lake, and getting more active using the paddleboards and kayaks provided by the hosts. We will definitely be looking to return!

Great spot

The house is newly renovated and beautiful! The location on the cove is fabulous. Unfortunately, on our 5 th day there was a sudden infestation of carpenter ants that swarmed over the inside of the picture windows seemingly coming from the ceiling. We vacuumed them up with a shop vac we found in the garage and called Vacasa. The builder came to look. Since we had gotten most of them, he said he’d send an exterminator after we left. The next afternoon the ants were back en mass! They were all over and they forced us to leave 2 days early. We felt we were in a horror movie. Thousands of huge carpenter ants swarming.

Leslie, thank you for your review, we deeply apologize for the unwanted carpenter ants you experienced during your stay. Our local staff did offer to professionally treat the home and when not able, attempted to provide many other avenues to rid the home from pests. We regret that these measures were not effective and that this detracted from your vacation experience. Our home has since been treated professionally by pest services. Please know that we did our best to offer compensation and remedy the issues you encountered, and we hope that the compensation you received alleviated some of the stress you experienced. We hope to host you for another truly carefree and great vacation in the future!
