About this property

Wall of windows in Twin Lakes.

Modern and airy mountain home above Twin Lakes with huge mountain and lake views through an entire wall of glass. Built in 2022, the main floor (2nd floor)is one big open space with tall ceilings, lots of light, and enough room for everyone to spread out. Big kitchen island, induction cooktop, gas fireplace, comfy seating, smart TVs, good WiFi, washer/dryer — easy place to settle in after being outside all day.

Three bedrooms / two bathrooms:— King bed in the primary— 2) Queen beds in each of the other two rooms.

The front deck is the spot. Coffee in the morning, wine at night, weather rolling across the mountains, endless stars when the sky clears. You’ll get it once you’re here.

A few things to know:
We’re newer hosts and still putting finishing touches on the house here and there, but the location and views are pretty hard to beat.
NO A/C (cool mountain nights)
NO Dishwasher (yep, good ole hand washing your dishes)
We think the trade off is worth it.

The road and our driveway are steep and unpaved, so AWD or 4WD is recommended, especially in bad weather. Check CDOT for road conditions/closures.

Close to kayaking, fishing, hiking, the Colorado Trail, Mt. Elbert, and summer access to Aspen via Independence Pass in under an hour.

Self check-in with smart lock.
Sleeps up to 8.
Check-in 4 PM / Checkout 10 AM.

REMINDER: Drink a lot of water! You're at nearly 10,000 feet!

We love twin lakes! It’s our happy place to relax, rewind and get out in nature. Life is busy and we can’t always get away to enjoy it and so we decided to become hosts for the first time and open our home for others to enjoy this spectacular place. We hope you love it like we do!

Why they chose this property

Friendly neighbors and hiking trail steps from our house.

What makes this property unique

We nicknamed our home “Bluebird” for the clear blue skies and the numerous little birds. We are right near Mt Elbert (Colorado’s highest peak) and have unobstructed views of the gorgeous glacial twin lakes.
