Beautiful home - This older property has been updated to have a more modern functioning kitchen, but they kept a lot of the older, built-in features throughout the house. We love to stay in a home with character and charm! Unfortunately, the home is not air conditioned. I realize AC is not common in the Northeast, but because we were visiting in early August and it has been a hot summer, we specifically filtered our search for homes with AC. We were able to see a window unit from the outside of the house, but it was in a part of the house we did not have access to. The listing also included pictures of rooms that we did not have access to. I don’t recall seeing anything in the listing about different suites or areas, so I’m not sure if there was a miscommunication about which parts of the house we should have been given access to or if the listing needs to be updated. Our first night was miserably hot and humid inside, especially on the top floor where all of the bedrooms are. When we contacted the host with our concerns the next day, they dropped off some fans very quickly. We were able to create some airflow through the house and the rest of our visit was wonderful! We would definitely stay there again-just maybe not in the heat of the summer!
