We enjoyed meeting you all, Pat. Come back anytime!
Everything was just as described. Very cozy on what was, for our stay, a very rainy weekend. We did have a beautiful sunset on Friday night. If you just love to be near a body of water as I do, then the waves, the mist and the grey are just as satisfying a view as a blue sky and calm waters. The fireplace was lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed. We slept well and extra blankets were provided. My husband particularly enjoyed having a piano on site. Everything was clean and welcoming. The owners were genuinely friendly and informative. We were given suggestions for wineries to visit and dining venues to check out. All in all, a cozy transition from winter to summer.
What a lovely house on the lake! It really is quiet, yet still relatively close to wineries and restaurants. And the owners couldn't be nicer or more helpful! Thanks again
The cottage has a fabulous view of the lake and is wonderfully quiet and secluded! The owners are very friendly and helpful. Great location for a FLX vacation!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay is this cozy cottage on Seneca Lake. The cottage is the perfect size for our family. There is so much to do in the area - hiking, boating and wine tasting of course. Rosemary is the perfect VRBO host.

What a relaxing few days! The Cottage is comfy with an amazing view. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer. Great for a short getaway or to spend a week or more enjoying the Finger Lake region.
Our stay here truly felt like a home. So peaceful. I spent a significant amount of time on the screened in porch listening to the birds and the water. Very close to multiple places for day trips. Exceeded my expectations in every way. Will definitely come back again.
This is my third summer staying at the cottage and, as always, I enjoyed every moment I was there.
Rosemary and Jim are gracious host always ready to help out and/or make sure you have everything you need.
I hope to be back again and again.

Looking forward to seeing you again next year, Jackie!
Off the beaten path. Enjoyed our stay at the Green Cottage. Lake view from livingroom windows. Loved the screened in porch for relaxing while listening to the waves of the lake. Very quaint accomodations. Not modern and no air conditioning, but kept cool by the lake breeze and the surrounding trees. Close to all of the wineries on East side of Senaca Lake. Would return visit!

Christine and her husband were great guests. They seemed to enjoy the cottage and the surroundings, and the left everything in excellent condition. We'd welcome them back anytime.
My husband just retired so we chose our favorite vacation spot to celebrate the next chapter in his life. We had a wonderful time. We were so glad to see Rosemary and Jim and have the opportunity to spend time with them. The cottage is so quiet and peaceful. The book selection is so good that every trip here my husband explores a new book. We love all the Amish and Mennonite markets. We visited some wineries new to us. It was a wonderful time!

So nice to see you both again! You're the perfect guests, as always.
My husband and I spent a very pleasant 2 weeks at this 2 bedroom cottage near Lake Seneca. We were pleased that we could bring along our dog who enjoyed the wooded setting and running along the shore. The house contained pretty much anything we could need, and we made several meals in the well stocked kitchen. The house was well maintained with new windows and a gas fireplace. We loved all of the interesting artwork throughout the house and the large selection of books that was almost like being in an eclectic used bookstore! Thank you to Rosemary and Jim for their hospitality during our first visit to the Finger Lakes.

We enjoyed meeting you and Jim too. So glad you enjoyed yourselves--come back anytime!
We had an incredible stay! Rosemary and Jim are amazing hosts and all around super people- very communicative before our arrival and so kind and approachable during our stay. They made sure we had everything we needed, told us about happenings in the area, and answered any questions we had. The cottage is very comfortable, gives excellent views of the lake, and was very clean. If you keep all the windows open, the lake breezes are divine! The kitchen was well appointed. We found we had everything we needed to make meals and there were a few cupboards and drawers that were empty making it easy to store our dry goods. There are a number of cozy seating areas inside and out. By the end of our stay we had our favorite places to sip coffee, work, and read, and we made sure to swim in the lake every day!Overall we had a great experience and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Sarah and Andrew were great guests! They seemed to have a good time at the cottage and enjoyed the lake, which always pleases us. They'd be welcome back anytime.
The cottage was very quant. It very quiet which was wonderful. It was stocked with necessities with the exception of towels and sheets. This was an inconvenience. The beds were uncomfortable and hard. Just a side note the book selections were quite strange and creepy. Certainly glad I didn’t bring my sports car it would have never made the driveway.

I"m sorry you found the bed uncomfortable, Michelle. It's brand new this season and we've had very positive comments so far. As to the sheets & towels, we ask people to bring their own "if possible." If you'd said it was an inconvenience, we'd have been happy to provide them.

The cottage is very cute and accommidating
The owners were very nice. The cottage was very cute and has every amenity needed or wanted. Great location. Only downsides would be the dock being broken and unusable. Our pontoon can not come that close to shore and there were not tie ups for it. The driveway has a very sharp turn and we were unable to bring a full size truck with trailer into the turn. So we parked the boat and trailer at the Lodi point state park. For us that worked fine as we have an empire pass otherwise you get charged $8 a day. Overall a great experience and would definitely rent again. Very clean and tidy.

Laurie and her group were excellent guests and they left the cottage in fine condition. We feel badly that they arrived the same day as four-foot waves from a big windstorm had carried off two big sections of dockboards. It took us a while to find where they had washed up on the beach several cottages down, and get them reinstalled.
This is a charming traditional cottage but with many modern comforts: wifi, smart tv, gas fireplace, fluffy towels and comfy chairs. It is on a hillside with lake views and a short staircase (unlike many properties in the Finger Lakes) to the waterfront. People with mobility issues could walk or drive down the driveway to the water. There is a road at the waterfront, but used only by cottagers, so pretty quiet. Beautifully decorated with original artwork. The owners, who live on the same property, have spared no expense in making the cottage comfortable and ensuring their visitors have an enjoyable time. Spotlessly clean, including the frig interior (not always the case!). Owners are a lovely couple, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Best location for wineries in the Finger Lakes (S-E Seneca Lake), restaurants, farmer's markets, Watkins Glen and historic sites.

Tina and Phil are the kind of guests we love to host. They clearly appreciated and enjoyed the cottage and made the most of their time here visiting places, both new and familiar. They can come back anytime!
Beautiful Cottage with a personalized feelall its own.
This cottage and it's owners were exceptionally warm and welcoming. The view and the September breeze were just what the doctor ordered. My wife fell in love with all the custom art and deco. I wish we could have stayed longer. This is definitely in our list for next year.
This was the third time we rented this lovely cottage overlooking Seneca Lake. It’s always immaculate, is very comfortable and is full of interesting art and books. There’s even a piano. It’s only a 10 minute walk from Lodi Point state park with a great playground and a nice beach for swimming.
This cottage evokes childhood memories of time spent at "the lake". It's clean and well equipped, from books and DVDs to kitchen utensils and coffee!
Although it was one of the hottest and most humid weeks of the summer, I used the living room fan only intermittently and only slept with the bedroom ceiling fan on one night. The cottage cooled right down as soon as the sun went down.
I like really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property. It was a very private setting with lots of room to park cars and let kids or dogs play. There was very little traffic on the road, especially after dark, and even on the lake especially during the week. The beach was also private.
I may very well return next summer. I loved it.

About the host
Hosted by Rosemary Covert
Jim and I spend our summers here at our cottage on Seneca Lake, and we rent the out the family cottage next door until the kids are ready to take it over. Jim grew up here in Lodi, and we've lived in various places in the US and Canada, including 20 years spent in St. John's, Newfoundland, before ending up in Lodi for the summers and in Ottawa in the winter. Best of both worlds!
Why they chose this property
Jim's parents built this place after WWII, and it's been in the family ever since. It's a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. We were lucky enough to buy the cottage next door 30 years ago, ensuring that everything up here on the bank from one gully to the next belongs to us.
What makes this property unique
We've tried to maintain the cottage's 50s character while bringing the amenities up to date. It’s full of books, artwork and amusing tchotkes. It’s also very well furnished. The large living room looks out through the trees over the lake, and windows on both sides allow in the lake breezes during the day and the cool air coming down from the woods during the night. There is a big screened-in porch that lets you feel like you're still outside even when it's raining.
