Perfect stay for us. Near everything. Beautiful views of the city. Enjoyed the sites and sounds of the lake, especially the Duck Dodge. Very clean and comfortable.
We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous houseboat. As others have mentioned, the pictures in the listing, which are beautiful, don’t fully capture what a magnificent place this is, in a prime position on Lake Union. Denise, the property manager, was responsive to all of our questions and minor issues that arose. Unqualified recommendation for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable home stay.

thank you for the wonderful comments. so glad you enjoyed this amazing "sleepless in seattle" experience.
Having lived in Seattle for 25 years, it has always been my dream to experience that “Sleepless in Seattle” lifestyle. With my 2 teen boys graduating from high school soon, I thought the absolute perfect last Spring Break for them would be to enjoy our city like a tourist. As it turned out, my stay ended up being more of an almost nightly gathering of beloved friends who also live in Seattle.
What makes Neil‘s floating home so special? The western sunsets over the lake, the active boating and people watching, and thoughtful and comfortable touches throughout the home: fully stocked kitchen, super comfortable beds, clever “hidden” TV to not impede views, and the fun fish tank over the kitchen sink. It was a very mentally restorative month spent on Lake Union. I hope to repeat the experience next year and beyond. Thank you, Neil & Denise! (Denise as property manager was attentive and accessible.)
Perfect place to experience a houseboat and to entertain friends!
Amazing environment. Stunning views to wake up to and to enjoy throughout the day. Nice weather definitely adds to the experience. Excellent access to city walks, biking and restaurants in addition to kayaking and paddleboarding. Quiet dock. Some disappointment in not getting to meet neighbors more.
We could not have been happier with our houseboat stay. The views of downtown Seattle never got old, and Lake Union provided entertainment every day. The house is comfortable and well equipped, and the property manager is very accessible and helpful. We loved everything about the houseboat and could not recommend it more highly.

Outstanding!
Best houseboat location on Lake Union with sweeping views of city towers, space needle, Queen Anne hill, Gas Works Park. Enjoyed all the boat traffic ranging from rowing shells to decorated Christmas boats to large NOAA and Coast Guard ships. The houseboat is lovely, even better than the photos. Denise was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Speechless in Seattle! Thank You!
I did a happy dance when Neil got back to us telling us this was available. I think he should rename the boat Speechless in Seattle! I even live on the water in South Florida, but this view is JUST ABSOLUTELY MIND-BLOWING! It’s like a moving portrait. The interplay of skull teams, row boats, seaplanes, shipping vessels, SUP Boarders, kayaks and yes….even a Hot Tub Boat filled like a jacuzzi cruising around the bay….it was a nonstop feast for the eyes. Watching a full moon set over the Space Needle was a jaw dropper.
Denise was just awesome. Grateful for the great advice. The beds were ridiculously comfortable. Perfect for our family of 4. The fish tank that lights up every night was amusing as the cast of characters changed throughout the day. It took us 4 days to see the starfish! Most Uber rides were $5-$10. There is a bakery, Thai and Italian restaurant within walking distance.
The first day we went over to Chandlers Crabhouse for lunch. Our waiter was amazing and the food was fantastic, but the $300 lunch tab was a bit crazy. One night we picked up the Thai food down the street and brought it back to the boat for a beautiful evening. The food was excellent. We picked up huge lobster tails at Pike's Market and steamed them. YUM! A first for us was trying Din Tai Fung for dumplings. That was an amazing meal. Barely squeezed in Serafinas our last night in Seattle. I think I would have cried if we missed that particular mouthful of extraordinary. Fantastic service and just about the most amazing Italian dinner I have experienced (I am not messing around…I grew up dining in the North End in Boston!)
We did the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and MoPop in one day. MoPop (Museum of pop culture) was a BLAST! The Star Trek exhibit and Sound Labs were favorites. Of course Chihuly is unmissable. I am not sure whether our son will choose University of Washington or Northeastern University, but I want to beg him to come here so we can stay again!!!
*check hot tub upon arrival so you can ask Denise to get it setup if it has evaporated. It was hot but no bubblers, but we sat in it anyway and had a lovely evening. Also, no privacy between any rooms if that is not obvious by the size of the boathouse. Everyone can hear everything from every room, including hearing everything anyone says as they pass by at 2:00 in the morning by boat...LOL! (It was usually "Wow! Can you imaging living there??") Also, no seasonings and few knives. You can hack a meal, though.

Fabulous vacation
The houseboat was fantastic in every way. We were met upon arrival and given a great intro to the home's amenities and the area. The home's finishes and furnishings were amazing. The location provided breathtaking views of the city and a ring-side seat to watch rowers and seaplane activity. Easy walk to public transportation, restaurants and grocery. Truly perfect, once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

Best ever vrbo experience!
We have been using VRBO for 20 years and we all agree (family of 5) that this was the best property we have ever rented! You cannot beat the view - you are sitting on the water watching the UW crew team row 10 feet away from your deck 9or the hot tub) while you get a skyline view of Seattle. The inside of the house is beautiful - with incredible touches and everything you could want for a longer stay. We cooked in four nights in a row and had a fabulous time. Then we used the space during the day for a business meeting with 8 people - it was wonderful. We will definitely go back - we loved it!!

One-of-a-kind property
What an incredible view, and an incredible home. The pictures almost don't do it justice. From the view to the thoughtful architecture and furnishings - this place was worth it. Every detail has been considered to maximize this one-of-a-kind view. We even took advantage of the hot tub outside despite the cold November day - then jumped into Lake Union right off the dock.
It's hard to forget you're on a houseboat when seaplanes and rowers are just feet away...but also because the houseboat does sway slightly. We hope to return again during the summertime!

Perfect Seattle Experience
After staying in this floating home, we can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. The home was cozy, beautiful, full of books, hard to leave each day to venture out! It was our first Seattle visit. There are some very good restaurants (Louisa's for breakfast), as well as the streetcar into downtown, all within walking distance. My husband is a pilot so we walked to Seattle Seaplanes for a couple flights and he was in heaven watching the planes and boats go by all day. I was in heaven sitting in the hot tub with the perfect view of the city at night. Highly recommend. Thanks Neil!
