Stunning Mountain Views on Scenic Golf Course in the Yadkin Valley Wine Region.

Cozy, 1300 square foot, quiet mountainside retreat overlooking the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kick back by the fire and watch the sun go down with a glass of wine from one of many local wineries. There are approximately 30 within 30 miles. From the house, it's just 3 miles to Stone Mountain State Park's back entrance, where you can hike a variety of trails, one leading to the top of the granite dome, several lead to beautiful waterfalls. Enjoy a round of mountain golf at Stone Mountain Resort Golf Club. The house sits just above the 9th tee in the Greenstreet Mountain Community.
We have brought the outside in with huge windows to take in the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Cozy living room with vaulted ceiling, North Carolina stone fireplace with vented gas insert. Fully equipped kitchen with seating for 6 to 8. One master bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and two downstairs bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, the other with a full(double) and one twin. Full bath on each level. Large screened in room with fan light and spacious deck off of the living room, both have mountain views. Large fire pit area with river rock bed, stone surround and Adirondack chairs. Small patio off of the screened room with seating and a Napoleon gas grill(propane provided).
Cell phone booster and high speed WI-FI!
3 SECURITY CAMERAS are on the property monitoring the main house walkway and driveway. There is also one on a private outbuilding below the house. The 2 on the house will be turned off for your privacy once you’ve arrived.

They thought of everything! Very well stocked - right down to the quality of the coffee! Kitchen incredibly well stocked.Beautiful, comfortable house with lots of space.Gracious, helpful host who responded quickly and warmly to my few questions.Quiet, bucolic setting….Cannot say enough about this wonderful home.BTW, we stayed during MerleFest, about a 40 min drive but totally worth it!! :)

Wonderful house

We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect, loved sitting on the top deck with coffee in morning. We got to see deer everywhere! Very nice golf course. Walking distance to the club house. Very close to the Stone Mountain state park. We will definitely rent again!

Long weekend getaway

Perfect spot for a golf weekend with the guys

Sitting right above the 9th tee box on Stone Mountain Golf Club, it was the perfect spot for our group of golf nuts. Everyone in the group loved the house and had an amazing time. And it's so close to the clubhouse that the golf course let us hold on to our carts for the weekend for transportation to and from the course each day. We hadn't even checked out before the group had already starting talking about staying here again. We can't wait!

Fantasic Family Vacation

Dawn deserves every great review she has received....The house is very comfortable, sparkling clean and is equipped with everything a guest might need.......... even a back scratcher :). Our family of 5 adults enjoyed hiking 3 trails with beautiful waterfalls and vistas, visiting 4 local wineries and attending the Elkin Big Band concert, a fund raiser for the music school in Elkin. We are sure the many deer in the neighborhood are a nuisance to the residents, but we enjoyed watching them, especially the babies while relaxing on one of the two porches. Thank you very much Dawn, your vacation home is very inviting :)..........

Amazing Property with Breathtaking Views

We had a girl's trip for the Yadkin Valley Wine Festival this past weekend and this property was perfect! The beds were very comfy, and the outdoor spaces were great as there was a huge open deck upstairs and a screened in patio downstairs. Both of these areas offered AHHHMAZING views of the mountains and a gorgeous sunset! There's also a lounge downstairs that had a fridge and even more seating. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the fire pit, but it was a beautiful setting! This place is a little piece of heaven, and we can't wait to visit again! p.s. look up Yadkin Wine Shuttle and let Rufus take care of your transportation to the wineries! He is awesome!

Ever Changing View

Very nice place to relax and enjoy the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The view changes based on the time of the day and the weather. We were there during leaf off (April). The view we observed will be blocked a bit by trees with leaves. The drive down seems shorter than the ride up. It's paved pretty much right to the driveway. We brought a motorcycle trailer and the driveway clearance was a few inches in/out...be warned on this minor obstacle to a wonderful location.

Another perfect stay

I had a second delightful stay at this house in mid-March. Dawn is an extraordinary host; you can feel the love she pours into hosting. She's thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to coordinate the dusting of snow we woke up to -- that provided an idyllic setting for our leisurely breakfast, but magically disappeared before we ventured out for the day. We had a wonderful stay. We exhausted ourselves climbing the 30-million-year-old granite dome at the park. We made s'mores under a star-filled sky. We shared a meal cooked in a ridiculously equipped kitchen. We greeted a deer family who wandered into the back yard. We visited Elkin for a laugh-filled wine tasting and meal. We made tons of lasting memories. I look forward to sharing Dawn's lovely home and mmy favorite hike at Stone Mountain with more friends and family in the future!

Wonderful mountain getaway

Dawn was the perfect hostess. We were greeted by a basket of fall goodies, and an autumn decorated beautiful cabin with a wonderful view. If you are looking for a quiet, comfy mountain getaway, this is the place.

Perfect home while visiting Stone Mountain

Fantastic stay for our weekend getaway. House was extremely clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed the fabulous views from the deck, porch and fire pit areas. Communication with the owner was perfect. I can’t think of a detail that was overlooked.

Third time renter and still absolutely love this place

We returned with our adult children for a third stay to enjoy the mountains and hiking at Stone Mountain State Park. Every time we have stayed, the house has been very clean and well stocked. It is nice not to worry about bringing all the miscellaneous items. Just bring your food and beverages and everything else you need is there. All the switches are labeled in an non-obnoxious way, so it is easy to figure everything out and just enjoy. We will be back again, no doubt! Very nice decor and great fire pit area. P.S. This is the only VRBO we have returned to more than once. We have had zero issues with this rental.

Labor Day weekend get away

Dawn, the owner, provided great communication. She was so pleasant to work with and answer questions. The process she uses for check-in is simple and direct. Her property was lovely. Clean, landscaped beautifully, and spacious. It had all the comforts of home. We had 4 adults stay however another couple could stay easily with plenty of room. The view is the best part. You just want to sit on the deck all day and soak up the view.

Great getaway

The house was terrific and comfortable. It was well-stocked with linens and other items. The kitchen had all basic condiments, cooking utensils, and appliances. The view was fantastic and we all had plenty of room to enjoy being together. We hope to return in the future.

Great time at Traphill.

We have stayed in this house several times. Always a great place to stay. House is immaculate and kitchen is very well stocked. Our favorite place in the house is the back deck overlooking the mountains. Both evenings, we sat around a fire in the fire pit. Such a relaxing place to stay!

Granddaughter Get-away

Beautiful mountain setting. The house had everything anyone could possibly need. The views were spectacular, and everything was just as promised. Dawn was a dream to work with. We enjoyed Stone Mountain twice and one day in Elkin. The only thing we missed was maybe access to a pool or at least a hottub to relax in in the evening. The weather was unusually hot, but we didn't mind.

This house has a beautiful mountain valley view. The kitchen is good sized and was well-stocked with utensils and spices. The house was clean and comfortable and the owner got in touch the day before so that we would be able to contact her.
