"Above It All"

Grassy Creek, NC - Enjoy spectacular panoramic views from this lovely chalet. On a clear day you can see forever!!!

The interior offers breathtaking panoramic long-range view and features French doors leading out to the wraparound deck. The great room features two leather sleeper sofas, a wood burning fireplace, a 50-inch TV with Satellite, Wi-Fi and a Foosball table - providing a relaxing getaway! A fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals a snap. Don’t want to stay inside? Grill a steak on the charcoal grill on the deck while enjoying the mountain views.

The main level bedroom features a comfy queen bed and satellite TV. A hall bath is located on the main level that has both a tub and shower. Upstairs is another bedroom with a queen bed, satellite TV, and a full bath with stand-up shower.

You certainly don’t need to leave Above It All to have a wonderful vacation, but if you do the cabin is close to Grayson Highlands State Park, the world-famous River House restaurant, and the New River for a day of fishing or canoeing. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

After a day of adventures, everyone will love taking a leisurely stroll down to the shared area pond with picnic tables and seating for all. Above It All is sure to be your favorite mountain retreat.

Beautiful view. Clean, mountain cabin, nice porch. The only negative issues I could mention is the upstairs shower is extra tiny. Tough to get a shower in there, I'm 180 lbs. The porch could use some comfortable chairs to enjoy the scenery. All in all, very nice cabin and vacation

We had a lovely time. The view and the wood fireplace made our stay. The property could use a few updates but we weren’t there for modernization. Very secluded so we took everything we needed.

This cabin high up in the NC mountains has an unbelievable view from the wrap-around deck. The cabin was well-equipped, and comfortable. The staff offered a very easy check-in process.

The cabin was tucked in the mountains with a beautiful morning and sunset view of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook and enjoy a cup of coffee. Fabulous views

Had a great vacation at “Above it all”. Paperwork and communication was great and receiving entry code by text was extremely convenient. Cabin was clean, and despite the few dead bugs, not much of an issue. Fixtures and furniture like stepping into the 80’s but everything worked. Upstairs shower could use a new shower head. The shower is very small and the showerhead squirts water in every direction making it very hard to shampoo and rinse your hair. Best part of this cabin was the view, and what a view it is, 10/10!

Our stay was perfect, this awesome place is in the middle of nowhere ( really it’s not far) but it was so quiet and peaceful, it sits high in a hill and the view was perfect! The home itself was all you could ask for without breaking the bank - I mean if stay here again easily and may just do that, that’s how much I liked it. perfect sums it all up , smh Icom

Beautiful views and great location

The views are spectacular! The location is great for West Jefferson and Grayson Highlands State Park. The cabin was clean and had everything you need as far as kitchen accessories. We loved the natural wood burning fire place and had a fire each night. The only two negatives were the stink bug infestation (I realize they are part of nature and difficult to control, but still very annoying) and the upstairs shower is really too small to use, since there was only two of us we used the downstairs shower but preferred the upstairs bedroom. Overall it was a nice cabin and stay.

We stayed at this location for the Wayne Henderson Guitar Festival, just up in Virginia. We did have a change of property due to a maintenance issue with the original booking, but the property management folks were very helpful and provided this (actually an upgrade for the same cost). The place was very clean - important for grandchildren! Would definitely use again, thx.
