The cabin was a great place for a peaceful stay. cabin was very clean and had everything that you would need for a great stay. Beds were comfortable . enjoyed a sunset every night on the deck. kitchen was well supplied with things for in cabin cooking.Rebecca was easy to get in touch with if needed. we had a wonderful stay and will consider staying there again.
If ever a rental was EVERYTHING you could hope this is it.Everything as advertised and just superb.Quiet bay, beautiful sunsets, 5:30 a.m. lobster boats, herons, eagle, osprey, cormorants, gulls, terns, a generational family of chipmunks for entertainment, turkeys , songbirds and even a roque seal hunting and/or playing in harbor pretty regularly.A fantastic rental with simply gorgeous drives to anywhere else you may want to go....and you may not want to leave.
Just incredible!!! Our 3 weeks in this amazing cabin were pure bliss. From the stunning views to the outside lobster cooking pot to the excellent attention to detail providing everything we would need. Thank you for a great stay. We highly recommend!!!
The views from the deck were wonderful. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. The only negative was no closet or mirror in the small bedroom.
Place was wonderful! The pictures didn’t do it justice. There were very clear instructions regarding everything at the cabin. Hosts were great! We would definitely stay here again.
The sunsets by the fire pit were worth every penny of the rental price. This was our first week long, just us, vacation in 20 years. We were welcomed with a gift of Maine Maple Syrup and Blueberry Jam. The view from the shore and from the wall of windows in the house was spectacular. Mornings were spent with a hot cup of coffee and a blanket, enjoying the serene setting. Evenings were spent with cocktails, S'mores, and a fire. The mattress was like sleeping on a cloud. Truly, The way Life Should Be.
I had a wonderful experience at your house. I loved having my coffee on the deck, and some wonderful sunsets. The last night, someone moved in next door with 3 dogs that barked alot, but that was only one day.You left great instructions. Thank you.
My wife and I stayed here for a week and were absolutely thrilled. The home is well maintained and well appointed with a gorgeous deck we could have spent days just hanging out on. Owners supplied a very helpful guide to the surrounding region. The house is just a bit off the beaten track, but nothing too difficult and it gave us a good excuse to make it back in time for the gorgeous sunsets on the shore.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. From roasting hotdogs and making popcorn oceanfront at the fire pit for my daughter and I. To Jameson point lobster co a few minutes drive for my wife to get a reasonably priced steamed lobster. As well as many small towns, eateries and beautiful sights within and hours drive. We had a wonderful vacation.
Property was clean and well stocked. Host was easy to reach and communicate with. Beds were super uncomfortable to the point of leaving a day early because our backs were so sore! also, the tv room only has a futon which is also very uncomfortable. It's located on a dirt road with a very steep incline so unusable for me to walk on without sliding down.
Cottage spacious and homey, especially loved the separate tv room filled w/dvds, puzzles, books etc. Once the sun shined wrap around deck was nice. Like the Waldoboro site I would highly recommend this cottage.
I was unsure if I wanted to stay in Portland or away closer to Northern Maine and Canada. I am glad we stayed here because we were close enough to some bigger towns so we could enjoy a little city life and we were just far enough away where we got away from the tourist traps.

About the host
Hosted by Rebecca and Jeff DeMiceli
Your proprietors are Jeff and Rebecca. Rebecca has been coming to Cushing and Friendship, Maine for the summer since she was an infant, like her father and grandmother before her. Jeff and Rebecca met in late 2003. Jeff first came to Maine during the summer of 2004, and the trip quickly became a huge part of his life as well. Rebecca and Jeff got married in 2010, after getting engaged the previous summer in a rowboat while floating in Muscongus Bay as fireworks from nearby Friendship Day illuminated the night sky. When Rebecca’s aunt and uncle decided to sell the property in 2012, Rebecca and Jeff jumped at the chance to own their own piece of Maine waterfront. Sadly, the existing cabin on the property was in serious disrepair and not salvageable. Rebecca and Jeff seized the opportunity to make the property truly their own and designed and built the cabin you see in the pictures. They, along with family and friends, built the cabin from the ground up during the summer of 2013. Jeff and Rebecca are thrilled to continue the tradition of summers in Maine with their own children, Vincent James, who was born in June 2014 and Vienna Leigh, who was born in May 2016. The finishing touches to the cabin were completed in early August 2015.
Why they chose this property
Family own the two adjacent properties so there is always a friendly face nearby! The cabin is new with all the modern conveniences but homey and comfortable.
What makes this property unique
The Cabin On The Point is located near the middle of Mid-Coast Maine and is within 2-3 hrs of everything the region has to offer!
