Location, location, location!

A perfect place for exploring the historical part of Rome, just steps away from the famous Piazza Navona. The host was very responsive, check-in was a breeze. The nearby streets can be a bit noisy at night due to the foot traffic and proximity of restaurants but this was never a problem. Lots of dining and shopping options around, a Carrefour store just a few blocks away. All major sites are within walking distance.

Not the place to be during the hot summer- Yes, they have Air Conditioning, However, they never were able to cool the rooms. The fans they brought us were broken. If you like taking use the toilet, shower or wash cloths don't be surprise to be standing in a hot box sauna. No air flow for the air conditioners results is massive heat in the bathroom.

Spring break

Me and 5 of my friends decided to stay here for spring break, and it was absolutely wonderful! We are all 19/20 and thought it was perfect! The location is great and the host was friendly and quick to respond when we needed him!

Fantastic location

We had an amazing time. The property was very central and walking distance to the main sites of Rome. We ate at some of the local restaurants which were superb. We booked transport through the property which was very easy. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

Excellent location close to Piazza Navona. The apartment is functional and the beds comfortable enough. Could have benefited from some new dining room furniture and some more decorations to nake it a little bit more comfortable/homely. If you just need a central place to sleep its perfect.

Great Location

Great location with bars, restaurants, liquor stores, gelato and pharmacy right outside the door. Not the fanciest place in the world but it was clean, affordable, and had all the amenities we needed

Amazing location

Overall, this was a great find! Apartment is on the second floor so easy to carry up luggage. Each bedroom has its one A/C head so those rooms were very comfortable in the August heat. Antonio was very helpful and made our check in process simple and straightforward. As previously mentioned in other reviews, the two front bedrooms are noisy due to street noise and restaurant traffic. That being said, we would stay here again.

Central

Great stay. I can sleep through noise so it was no problem, but it can get very loud due to the restaurants downstairs. Even with the windows closed. Check in staff was very nice and tried his best to get to us even though there was a fire that delayed our stay. Responsive. Lights did go out, but it makes sense due to the age of the building. Simple switch downstairs fixed the problem. Thanks for the great stay!

This apartment is so centrally based it is perfect for exploring all the hotspots of Rome. Communication between Alessia was always fast and easy. The apartment can be a bit noisy at night due to its central location however this is understandable and ear plugs can be bought from the pharmacy a short walk from the apartment. We would definitely stay again next time we are in Rome!

Recent Stay in Rome

The stairwell was scary - dark and decrepit. I wouldn’t feel safe coming home alone at night. The apartment reeked of smoke AND, despite using the washing machine, we left with all of our belongings reeking of smoke. Many of our items will be tossed upon return home. There was A/C but you couldn’t run them plus the washer, dryer or hair dryer together because doing so would blow the fuse. Location was good but loud. I would not recommend based on smell alone.

The apartment was okay, clean and pretty much as advertised. The noise at night, however, made sleeping impossible. It is situated above a row of restaurants which closed at 2:00 and, then, tables and chairs were brought in from outside and clean up began. Also, I was told that I to pay a cleaning fee that I had had no previous notice of. I could either pay the fee or forfeit a security deposit which was held on my credit card, which I also had had no previous notice of. The outside door to the apartment was nearly impossible to open but made for some fun really as a line of waiters from the nearby restaurants formed each time to try their skill at getting us in!

The Perfect Home Base in Rome

We loved our stay in this apartment near Piazza Navona! Friendly and helpful Adriano kindly offered early check-in and acquainted us with the apartment and area. Some initial paperwork and some extra fees to be aware of at check in. Three comfy bedrooms, two with big beds and one with two singles, were perfect for our family of 4. A fully equipped kitchen, roomy bathroom with washer and dryer, sitting room with sofa and table for 4 made for a perfect home base! Yes, the two front rooms hear the late night revelry from the street but you are in Rome…bring earplugs and a sound machine 😊 The water/dryer were a bit tricky simply because I don’t speak Italian, but worked great. Shower door leaked but I believe is being fixed. We walked everywhere from the apartment: Vatican City, Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Borghese Gallery, Palatine Hill, Aventine Keyhole & beyond. Walked 20,000-27,000 steps daily! Bring comfy shoes! Plenty of places to eat right outside the door and on every charming cobblestoned street. A note for non-walking travel: “FreeNow” is the app to use for booking taxis but be warned they often accept then cancel.

Rome Apartment in the neighborhood near Piazza Novella

The apartment was in a very good location and walking distance to everything including taxis/Ubers however it was right above many neighborhood bars and was probably not the place for our family. It was clear on the listing so that’s our error in booking due to the late hours of the restaurants and bars and the very early garbage and recycling pick up. The main bedroom had great AC but the room next to the street has a separate AC unit that could not keep up - the owners were very quick to try to have it fixed but were unable to get it resolved before checkout. The room was unbearable in the July heat and we had to sleep some of our family on the couch. I would also say the laundry washing machine was nice to have but it was on the only bathroom and the smell was horrible. Most front loader machines have that sour smell but this was more than normal. It made the bathroom so hot with no ability to air out and had to keep the door closed due to the smell. The apartment was clean and the host was very nice and communicative.

Sleepless Nights

I really wanted to like this place but simply couldn’t. The apartment is so old and is located next to restaurants and bars which played LOUD music until 2 AM each day. Each night, I would watch the clock and waited patiently for the restaurants to close to get any peace and quiet. Then when I actually could fall asleep, the trash trucks came at 4 AM, so literally, there were loud noises all night long. We stayed here for 3 nights and could not get a good night sleep at all. I did read the other reviews before booking, but I never thought the noises could be that LOUD. I even tried to sleep on the living room sofa to get away from the bedrooms near the streets, but the walls were paper thin and the sofa was so old and lumpy, I could not get comfortable. The linens on the beds were so basic, just sheets and a thin scratchy blanket. The 4 of us were absolutely miserable for 3 nights straight. The apartment really needs renovation and investments in good bedding and a new sofa to make it comfortable. Even the shower head fell off during a shower. The best thing about this place is that it has both a washer and dryer so we were able to do our laundry. I’m really sorry, but I will have bad memories of our time in Rome because of this accommodation.

Amazing Location - Comfortable property

We took a taxi from Termini to the apartment. The location is just off piazza navona and we couldn't have been happier with the location. central to everything. first floor walkup, so it wasn't difficult to get our luggage upstairs. the apartment itself is simple. the bedrooms were all comfortable and my kids did some schoolwork in the living room or hung out on the couch. we didn't make use of the kitchen other than using the fridge, but it had all of the essentials. washer and dryer were great. shower is a little tight for larger adults, but the bathroom was large. the bedrooms that face the street can be very loud due to the bars down on the street turning into some rambunctious "club" music at night, but it did not bother us at all (we were always tired, and my wife brought ear plugs). the noise is the only thing we can really say as a complaint. the host that checked us in (chiara) was pleasant and gave us recommendations and tips. we really loved our stay here, and would book it again. family of 5 with 3 kids. my 11 year old took the back bedroom. mom and dad took the front bedroom, and the 10 and 8 yr old shared the twin beds bedroom. kids didn't complain about the street noise at all, but they are good sleepers.

The place was centrally located which was great and easy to get to popular sites. Plus a pharmacy and grocery store were very close. The only problem is the noise with being centrally located. One room was right above the street and the night life was very loud nightly and hard to sleep, then early morning was woke up to glass being picked up by the garbage company. The rooms were nice and the place was clean, bathroom is huge with washer and dryer.

We booked this property for its advertised air conditioning, location, second-floor setting, and overall apartment size (in that order). The A/C consisted of individual bedroom units, but only one of three worked and public areas had no cooling. The bathroom, located above a restaurant kitchen, was extremely hot. Despite notifying the host, the issue was never fixed during our stay. Very uncomfortable experience — we wouldn’t recommend it until the A/C is reliably working.The location is convenient, but it’s on a busy street with restaurants and the window views aren’t worth enjoying. The walk up to the second floor is easy compared with other properties. The interior decor could use a refresh; it didn’t feel charming or welcoming. Although there are three bedrooms, the spaces are tight — you can’t even open the closet doors fully. The washer and dryer seemed convenient until we opened them and smelled mildew, and the provided laundry-detergent bag was empty. On the plus side, there’s a convenience store about five minutes away.

I booked this place but 5 days before my check in I was told that they needed to move me to another apartment in a different part of Rome. They claimed it was due to the excessive summer heat and power outages were applied to this building due to the number of restaurants on same power grid. I am not sure this was true or not since I hear this is a common practice to bait and switch people to a less appealing apartment. I cannot review this property- but I did walk by it and it is a very busy street full of restaurants, bars and stores.

Amazing

Great place with peace and quiet. Location near good restaurants (squigly) for breakfast and homemade gelato. Also close to bus stop and right behind vatican city. Highly recommend this place.

This was not the site we stayed at....the day before we arrived the apartment was changed due to power outage issues. Despite this the 'new' apartment was quite nice and closer to Vatican city which is a place we wanted to visit anyway. It was quiet, clean and nicely outfitted. Would not hesitate to stay here again. The rental team was great to deal with, good communication and information about the stay was provided.
