The Waterside Retreat is a surprisingly spacious 2 bedroom cottage, sleeping 5, a great place to relax and unwind with family and friends.

Patrolled Blacksmiths Beach is only a 5 minute level walk and the beautiful Swansea Channel is a short stroll across the reserve.

Boats ramps accessing Lake Macquarie and the ocean are less than 100m away.

Sleeping up to 5 people, Waterside Retreat has a modern interior and is deceptively spacious with 2 large bedrooms, a lounge and a front sitting room with divan and easy chair.

Relax with a cuppa and enjoy the view towards the channel from the front porch.

The fully equipped eat-in kitchen has a dishwasher, full size fridge, microwave, upright stove with oven, large bench with stools, breakfast table and Smart TV.

The lounge room has a large comfy leather couch with plenty of room for everyone to relax, chat and watch a movie on the Smart TV.

The main bedroom has a queen bed, Smart TV (with Fetch Box) and plenty of room for your clothing in the built-in wardrobe. Just off the bedroom is an area that can be used as a parent’s retreat to sit and soak up the view.

The second bedroom has 2 king single beds and plenty of cupboard space – with books, games and toys.

The front room has a divan which can be set up as a comfy 5th bed as well as a lounge chair to relax and read a book.

The bathroom has a shower and bath with separate toilet and there's an additional toilet just outside the back door.

The separate laundry has a washing machine and dryer and an extra fridge.

Out the back is an undercover alfresco area with a BBQ and seating. There is also a shower to wash off the sand from the beach.

Free parking on premises in a quiet, safe neighbourhood.

Gorgeous little waterside cottage

This is a great place to stay. It's deceptively very spacious and perfect for a family of 5. It is a short walk to everything - the beach, shops, a cool little cafe and an excellent pub. The house was spotless, well furnished and had all the mod-cons we needed. It exceeded our expectations.

Property is perfect for what we wanted, just that the neighbours are too close for my liking eg. fence is low no privacy and the neighbour decides to cut the lawn and edges at 8am on a Sunday morning but otherwise fine.

This property is awesome. Great, funky little house with enough room for 3 active boys(2 teenagers). Beautiful location... 30 seconds to the canal (managed to catch a few leatherjackets) and about 5 mins walk to the beach and break wall. 1 minute if you're lazy and drive! Unfortunately, we only stayed 1 of our 3 nights due to Covid but we'd all love to come back another time!
