Good Parisian apartment in a superb location. Very near to Metro station, supermarket and bakeries. The apartment is fully equipped with everything that you would need, and more. We really enjoyed the coffee machine and made full use of the terrace. Suggestion for improvement - all the electrical items in the flat are showing signs of age so could do with replacement.

Great spot and welcoming host

Gerard was fantastic with responsiveness and gave great directions to nearby metro and supermarket, which were very helpful. There are a few stairs to get into the building, just something to keep in mind for suitcase packing. All the amenities we could have wanted and made our stay hassle free!

Great stay

We had a great stay at this apartment near Montmarte. The property is close to the metro and bus which it seemed we needed to take the bus to get to where we wanted to go more than the metro. It all worked out well. There are many nice restaurants in the area. We would stay here again.

Family trip

Gerard was an excellent host. Unfortunately I was pickpocketed upon our arrival to Paris and lost my phone. Luckily I had shared Gerard’s contact information with my husband and I was able to contact him from my husband’s phone. He was so kind as to meet us at the front of the building and lead us to the apartment. Before our arrival Gerard went above and beyond and offered very specific directions which metros to take to reach his apartment. His apartment was very well stocked and we would stay there again.

A perfect little Paris retreat

Me and my family (four adults in all) stayed here for a week and couldn't have enjoyed it more! It was well stocked with all the necessities (from various bar glasses to fans to plenty of towels to a couple umbrellas in one of the closets), and was just the right size for the four of us. The highlight was the balcony with a nice view of the buildings going up the Montmartre hill, with the Sacre Coeur itself peeking over the summit! We had a couple nights where we put together a charcuterie board for dinner with wine and relaxed and enjoyed our view. The bathroom had a nice shower and a washing machine for clothes (no dryer but we just dried them on the balcony). There was a nice bakery on the corner by our building and it was just a short walk to the Lamarck station on line 12. (A tip: this station has a lot of steps so make sure to find the elevator when you come back from sightseeing!) There were a couple small grocery stores nearby, our favorite was the one to the left of the Lamarck station entrance. Check-in was very easy, Gérard met us there and explained everything we needed to know (he only speaks French but got the points across!). The apartment complex itself felt very secure, you used a code to get into the first building, crossed a courtyard, used a code for the second building, and the apartment was on an upper floor. Very secure, and also very quiet at night--perfect. We absolutely loved our stay, it made our vacation extra special! Thank you, Gérard!

Nice apartment in Montmarte

We stayed 9 days in Gerard's apartment. The location is excellent. Very close to the interesting sites of Montmartre but off the beaten path of the tourist hordes. The apartment is in an enclosed and secured residence complex located in a small and quiet street. Cafes, restaurants and shops are in the immediate vicinity. A supermarket is just around the corner and a metro station 300 meters away. The apartment is located on the 7th floor (two elevators) and faces an inner courtyard. It overlooks a city view including the dome of Sacre Coeur Basilica. Nice balcony with table and chairs. The apartment is very comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay. There is a washing machine as well a dish washer but no dryer. The kitchen is properly equipped. Comfortable bedroom and bed. Plenty of storage space. Electric blinds in the living room and bedroom. Absolute silence, you only hear birds chirping. The host is a very nice person and eager to assist. There was a certain issue with the operation of the washing machine and he came in to take care of it as soon as possible, even though he lives outside the city. The response time to inquiries is very fast, but please note that he does not speak English at all, so if you do not speak French, communication with him is a bit cumbersome and requires extensive use of Google Translate. Also, he doesn't use WhatsApp, only SMS. But these should not be a major obstacle. The only negative point is actually the matter of cleanliness or lack of. There is room for much improvement in this matter. All in all we had a pleasant stay in the apartment and if the cleanliness was better the experience could have been just perfect.

Ein schöner Aufenthalt in einer schönen einfachen Wohnung. Anmerkung: Die Ausziehcouch könnte einmal erneuert werden. Die Aufhängung und der Rahmen „quietschen“ schon sehr. Tolle Lage zu U-Bahn, Supermarkt, Bäckerei und vor allem zum Montmartre.

Très agréable séjour

Lovely stay in the 18th

Convenient to local transportation, food markets and restaurants nearby. The balcony is a real treat for enjoying morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. A bit of mold in the shower but that can be easily fixed. Host is charming and responds quickly to any questions.

Super pratique et bien située. La localisation était excellente: métro, épicerie, boulangerie, pharmacie, restos, etc. Quartier animé mais quand même tranquille. Appartement bien équipé mais un peu suranné. Deux choses à améliorer: le matelas du lit et le divan du salon. La cuisine était bien équipée ainsi que la literie, chambre de bain, espaces de rangement.

Excellent and well maintained

An excellent and well maintained property. The owner is extremely gracious and helpful, provided clear instructions to property and met us on site. The flat was extremely clean, well maintained and had a generous supply of basic supplies for cooking and washing. Markets, bakeries and restaurants are nearby and easy access to Metro and Sacre Coeur Cathedral. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful!

Gerard was a wonderful host! Excellent communication, easy check in, perfect accommodation for my brother and me and a whirlwind three day trip to beautiful Paris. Location in Montmartre was perfect - close to metro, many many restaurants and cafes, plus all the wonders of Montmartre.

Consigliatissimo

Siamo stati benissimo. L'appartamento è perfetto per una famiglia di 3 persone: una coppia ed un bambino\adolescente (noi in quattro siamo stati bene lo stesso perchè nostro figlio di 4 anni ha dormito con noi). E' tenuto molto bene (bagno comodo) e dal balcone c'è la vista della basilica di Montmatre. E' in un'ottima posizione: a pochi passi fermata metro e bus, supermercato a 5 min ed è situato in una zona molto silenziosa. A piedi, facendo una passeggiata e salendo qualche gradino!, ci si trova nel bellissimo quartiere Montmatre. Gentilissimo il sig. Gerard (che parla solo Francese :-) ).

Bella posizione a due passi dalla metro

Siamo stati in 4, due adulti e due adilescenti 13 e 16 anni. Appartamento comodo e ottimamente posizionato per gli spostamenti, a due passi da metro Lamark e pochi minuti a piedi da Montmartre e Sacre Coeur. Supermarket Carrefour ad un passo. Ben attrezzato con forno, macchina caffè TV e Wi-fi. Da curare meglio la pulizia e divano letto in soggiorno risulta un po scomodo il materasso. Condominio discreto e silenzioso. Balcone comodo e con buona vista.

Very nice property

The house is beautiful with a fantastic terrace from which you can see a glimpse of the bell tower of the Sacred Heart church, sleeps 4, with a bedroom separated from the dining room where there is a queen size sofa bed. We met the host upon arrival and was very kind. The house is fully equipped, in an excellent location 5 minutes walk from the Lemarck metro. Colaincourt, the Montmartre hill and boulangerie, bistros, restaurants etc. When we return to Paris we will definitely stay here.

Séjour très agréable

L’appartement de Gérard a parfaitement répondu à nos besoins. Nous avions essentiellement besoin d’un endroit propre et convenable pour dormir et prendre le petit déjeuner, alors que nous passions nos journées entières à parcourir la ville. L’appartement est idéalement situé tout près du métro dans un quartier très agréable. Endroit très calme et sécuritaire et communications très réactives de Gérard. Je recommande vivement.
