This converted dairy is the ideal choice for a couple looking to take a holiday in complete isolation, far away from busy highways with no neighbours except the cows.

Every morning you can make a cuppa in the modern kitchen with kangaroos hopping past through the field, and sit outside in the fresh air gazing at the trees, rolling hills and green mountains in the near distance. You can stretch your legs by wandering the 175-acre property or take a short stroll to Kangaroo Valley Pie Shop for a snack.

In the evenings you’ll be cosy inside with the spacious rain-head shower and combustion fireplace with a plentiful supply of chopped logs and kindling, and you can cook a romantic meal on the induction cooktop or the bbq outside. There are dozens of DVDs to choose from to cosy up on the couch and watch on the TV, or you can light a candle and put on some music to spend some quality time just enjoying the view.

The township of Kangaroo Valley is just a few minutes drive away with quaint shops, a candy store and a friendly pub to while away the hours. You’ll spend your leisurely days in each other’s company at The Dairy, happily disconnected from the outside world, enjoying all the beauty of nature with the luxuries of modern comforts.

Important Information:

- The spa bath does not work - there is only a regular bath.
- The property does not allow children or infants as it is not child friendly and has open water on the property. this is a one bedroom couples retreat.
- A small amount from every booking is donated to local charities — a booking with Professional Holiday Homes supports local communities.
- Whilst the majority of properties provide access to streaming services, guests may be required to log in via their own accounts.
- We supply a number of basic pantry items at each property. We are, however, unable to guarantee the availability of all pantry items. 3 toilet rolls are supplied per bathroom. You may wish to bring additional supplies with you.
- Please note that firewood is only supplied from May to September.
- Air conditioning: The property has air conditioning in the living area, dining area, and bedroom.
- We welcome responsible guests that will not cause disturbance to our neighbours.
- After booking you must sign a rental agreement. Please contact us prior to booking if you'd like to view a copy.

Excellent accomodation for a weekend away from the chaos of city living. Clean, cozy, secluded, well-maintained and well-managed. One very small and comparatively insignificant request would be to have actual olive oil in the pantry opposed to vegetable oil decanted into an olive oil bottle… such great foodie area, would be great to support local and showcase a few inexpensive items at the property.

Beautiful couples retreat

The location and property are fantastic. Highly recommended. A couple of things to note: very minimal firewood was supplied, so if you like to run the fire for atmosphere rather than the A/C you’ll need to arrange more wood. Linens were high quality but sparse. Two towels only, no spares. No rugs or blankets provided other than one on the bed. If you like to curl up on the coach or sit out on the gorgeous terrace under a rug you’ll need to bring your own. Also the town of Kangaroo Valley has very limited options for food other than the pub bistro and couple of cafes. Very hard to find anything vegetarian. Suggest you stock up with provisions and be prepared to cook for yourself rather than eat out in town.

From the moment we drove up the tree lined driveway to The Dairy we started to relax. Such a beautiful escape with an amazing view. Loved watching the cows! The Dairy is perfect for a couple. Mostly idyllic: one thing I wish I’d known

This property is delightful - well presented and beautifully laid out. If you get a clear night, the stars are magical (pro tip: take some blankets to rug up outside - glass of wine and stars - perfect!). The bathroom is amazing, the balcony- living area space is fabulous and the outlook is incredible! The one thing I wish I’d known is that the property has a lot of heavy machinery etc on site, which appeared to me to be permanent. Mostly, you don’t see or hear this (the property is designed really well) but twice in the four nights I was there a truck (I think) would be left idling for half an hour or longer, and really set my teeth on edge. For context, that’s an hour or so out of four nights, in what was otherwise a divine break. I’d go back!
