It was great but we didn’t realize there would be an apartment below us.

Hi Clay,
Thank you for your feedback,. Just for clarity's sake, the listinghe listing does mention that there’s a separate apartment below — “We're fortunate to have a long-term tenant living in a separate unit on the first floor of the barn. Please be considerate of their privacy. Quiet hours 10pm–8am.” I really appreciate your understanding and hope you had a wonderful stay overall!
The loft had great views, clean and private, with very high end amenities. Easy access to Leadville. Will definitely book again for my next 14er hike.

Thanks a bunch! So glad you enjoyed the loft and the views—awesome to hear it was a good base for your hike. Would love to host you again for your next 14er!
Really cute and cozy place in the north side of Leadville. Easy 0.5 mile walk to main street for food, drinks, and melanzana if that’s why you’re in town. Off street parking was nice to keep bikes out of view though Leadville never feels unsafe. Coffee/tea bar was great, house was clean, and property manager was very communicative when needed. Would stay again.

My husband, I and our dog Charlie were fortunate to getaway for the holiday. We loved our time in Leadville and the house was PERFECT! Plenty of space and well furnished. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The dog had plenty of room to run and play. The options for tv entertainment were plentiful. It was cold when we stayed; however the house was nice and warm. Unfortunately we never used the hot tub because we had so much to do in and around town. The notes/recommendations were very much appreciated. There wasn’t a microwave but that was ok because we did a lot of cooking. Will definitely stay here again.

Hi Jody, thank you for your time to leave a review. We're looking forward to your come back.
The important things - location, cleanliness, hot water, comfy bed were all excellent. But several little things bring me to a 4/5 rating. The yard was really run down and unlike the Pictures. I would not really want my pup hanging out there. There are now three run down sheds in the yard. The hot tub is under a former carport and the downstairs tenant’s space looks onto the tub. Just not inviting. The decks have terrible furniture (the arm on one of the chairs on the back was fully broken off) and views are interrupted by a roof and power lines. There is a light outside the master bedroom that can’t be turned off and when u need the window open for coolness it makes the room very bright. The management agency offered to come unscrew the lightbulb but that would have inconvenienced us. The door was very difficult to close. And lastly on the last morning 90 min before check out workers arrived to bang on the building with no warning from owner/manager even though we had been texting. Not hard to give a heads up. Having said that it’s good they are getting some work done since the exterior is very run down compared with photos in listing. Do note the unit is upstairs. Pretty sure that wasn’t mentioned when I booked many months ago. Having said all that the place was clean and very close to town and had a decent bed. Not easy to find all that for this price in Leadville.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback. We're really glad you found the place clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Sorry to hear some things didn’t meet your expectations — especially the yard, outdoor furniture, and light outside the bedroom. We're in the middle of making improvements, and your notes are helpful. Also, we totally agree the heads-up about the workers should’ve been better communicated — our apologies for that. Appreciate you staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience!
