Christin was welcoming and helpful. The house is very clean. The view was lovely. I liked that it was close to town and a nice neighborhood to walk about.
Quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds and living area. Sun room was nice for relaxing and enjoying the view. Close to town and easily walkable. The house was very clean and bright
We were so impressed with the quality and cleanliness of this property. The views and sunsets every night were postcard worthy. I rarely go back to a VRBO, but this one, we will be returning. Dog friendly which we love and appreciate so much!
Very nice location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Gorgeous marsh views! We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was new & very clean!!
We brought our Aussie doodle with us~the town is extremely dog friendly.

Great stay
Beautiful cottage in a peaceful neighborhood. It was clean and stocked with everything you could need. The screened in porch was the spot we enjoyed most but watching sunset from the boat dock is a close second. It was great to be able to have our dog along for the stay. Great location to check out Jekyll & St Simon islands from.
Property was idealy located within walking distance to restaurants. Walked the neighborhood every morning and marveled at the huge trees and spanish moss. Would recommend this vrbo for anyone looking for a quiet laid back stay.
Amazing view and so peaceful looking out at the marsh! It was quiet and so comfortable! The place was clean, cozy, and beautiful!

Cozy Cottage on the River
Spent long weekend at this lovely little cottage on the river. My two teenage boys loved fishing off the dock, and our dogs were very happy lounging on the screened porch. Darien restaurants are a short walk - looks like more things are developing, but all the places we ate were nice, nothing fancy, but good fresh seafood options everywhere. Hosts were very responsive and helpful!
Beautiful property with a million dollar view! You can walk to downtown Darien. The owners were in town and showed us true southern hospitality! It’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Close to St. Simons and Jekyll. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay in Darien!
We had a wonderful time in Darien. The beautiful house provided us with an excellent base to explore the region. Our favorite room was the screened porch, which gave us a great view of the marsh and the fantastic sunsets. We did not have a chance to use the tandem kayak. We enjoyed a walk to downtown Darien for our morning coffee. We felt at home and hated to see our vacation end. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Could have been great!
This house was renovated by a skilled person with a sense of style and color. The building materials used, including interior pecky cypress wood accents on the interior, leave you with a feeling of warmth and freeness. The view is amazing with long range marsh views and sunset possibilities.
We found this overall to be a beautiful and interesting area.
Our only complaint would be the traffic noise from the house’s close proximity to Interatate 95.
Such a beautiful and friendly neighborhood overlooking the McClendon Creek and marsh. Lovely cottage with panoramic views of the marsh or the beautiful ancient old trees hanging with moss. Very quiet and peaceful with the ability to lay in bed at night and watch the storms with rain, thunder and lightning light up the sky and marsh across the way. Awakening to a bright new day ahead. Lovey antique stores, small boutique and home town grocery store with everything we needed and wonderful fresh seafood dinner at BJ seafood & steaks only 1 mile away. If you like small town hospitality and are in need of quiet and peacefulness… then “the cottage” is the place for you. We certainly hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!❤️

A Pleasant four days with the weather mostly cooperating
The last time we stayed in the area was during the pandemic in 2020. This time was much more pleasurable. The little cottage is spiffy and the beds slept well. On a quiet tree lined street the comfortable screened porch looks out on the creeks of the altamaha river. The cottage was a great refuge from our days filled with tourism including a day trip to St. Augustine Fl and a meal at the historic Columbia Restaurant. The cottage;s layout and appointments more than met our needs. The only criticism is that we are used to and contract bound to subscriber cable and satellite tv and are not adept at streaming services. The Cottage's host Christine was available when we needed her! She gave us a timely back-up solution for our little problem. The photos in the brochure live up to the experience. The place is very clean and attractive!

A perfect location for a quiet romantic getaway
This place is amazing !!! both inside and outside and also the support of the management team and the owner. The inside is tastefully designed with every detail comfort can ask for. One cannot but admire and spend all their time in the porch area of this house which overlooks the marshes and nature. All you can hear is the sound of birds and squirrels. We spent all our time in the porch and wish it had a hammock to fall asleep !!! The kitchen is fully stocked and has all the appliances - even the new Keurig coffee maker was a blessing. The smart tv can accommodate even your personal fire stick and that is what we used to watch our favorite tv shows (though hardly we watched any since we were in the porch all the time. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms fully stocked with linens. The outside is so calm and serene. Walking to the docks is a thrill and one can spend their morning coffee there. The massive trees and Spanish moss on them looks like you have been taken back in time. The small town of Darien is lovely. Folks are very friendly. Plenty of seafood placed around. If you want something we just love eating, then hop on your vehicle and head to St Simon and eat at Barbara Jean's place. The best of Southern food. Don't forget to try their crab cakes as you will want more when you come home ;).Overall this place is amazing. We are definitely coming back for a longer stay.
Pros: close to downtown, clean, cuteCons: no towel hooks in bathroom, no clothes iron, dock is on the lot next door. We weren’t sure if we should really use it. Should have said something in the listing.Overall, nice place in a good location, just missing some amenities.
