Overall, very clean and beautiful place. Great communication with the host and was impressed with all that they provided. Great place to stay if you plan on riding in the black hills area.
Our group had a wonderful time at this property. Secluded area only a 5 min drive to Deadwood. House is very spacious with great amenities. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Highly recommend this property for a visit to the hills!
The property was in a great location, the surrounding area was very quiet. Lots of wildlife. We went mainly to four wheel and this property was close to multiple trails all within a half hour to 45 minutes away.
The property was nice and beds were very comfortable! The online pictures make the kitchen and family room area look a lot bigger than it is! Overall a good experience! We had a lot of fun with our family!
The cabin had everything we needed & plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 children. If you are traveling with your dog this place is perfect! Very pet friendly. Location is perfect for all your day trips seeing the sites around the Black Hills. The area around the cabin was beautiful. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. The hot tub was a great way to end the day after hiking or sightseeing! Would definately come back to this cabin.
Come each year the week before Sturgis starts to site see and ride. Wife drives jeep with son and myself plus friends ride motorcycles. Perfect location for everything we like to see and do. Excellent hosts!
Wonderful property and hosts! Location to Deadwood, Lead, Spearfish was perfect via car or side by sides. House fit us plus our three adult children/families wonderfully. Hosts’ attention to detail was appreciated. Loved seeing deer every time we drove the road, and frequently turkeys! Highly recommend.
We didn’t realize when we booked it that we had stayed on the same road in a different house before. Love the area! The house was beautiful and had plenty of sleeping areas. The owner communicated in a timely manner. If we weren’t moving to Oregon in April then we would definitely come back. Highly recommend this home!
We were very pleased with the Bent Oak Lodge. The location was in a wonderful neighborhood right outside Deadwood SD. The property was immaculate, comfortable and completely stocked with everything needed for feeling right at home. Communication with the host was very easy. The big picture windows let you enjoy the surroundings property and the the wildlife. We have been VRBO users for many years and can say this was an outstanding experience.
Sturgis, SD is a central meeting point for my family and I happened to find this cabin. It was the perfect set up for us. My family of five fit comfortably upstairs, may parents stayed on the main floor while my sister and her husband stayed in the room in the basement. The amenities were great, everything we needed was there. Beautiful scenery, solitude and there are neighboring homes but they are distanced far enough that you don’t even know they were there.
Emily was great, quick to respond and easy to work with. Highly recommend this place!
Beautiful rental that is very clean and up to date. Hosts were great to work with and very responsive. We had 8 in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone. Would highly recommend this rental property.
The house, the location and the views exceeded our expectations! Not only was this house clean and well maintained, it was beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed including the things that we didn’t know we did. The location was perfect, close enough to Deadwood and Sturgis but just far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the wildlife. Emily and her husband were great hosts and very responsive. They made this an easy and enjoyable experience for our whole group. We would highly recommend staying here.
The house and property are in an extremely peaceful setting. The deer are out daily. The house was amazingly clean. Almost like new. The only draw back, if you can even count it, is that the house is on a gravel road. It was about a mile or so off of the paved highway. Since we were in the area for the Sturgis Bike Rally, riding a 1000 pound motorcycle on that road was a daily challenge. But you can't blame that on the property owners. The house is delightful.
We enjoyed our stay at this nice cabin. Loved the fireplace!

Lovely home in the woods!
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely new home in the woods! We arrived to a thoughtful gift of wine and enjoyed seeing deer walk through the property each night. The fenced in, grassy yard was great for our dog. The only drawback was due to the new home construction in the development it was busy for traffic and some construction noise. Would love to stay here again if we go back to Sturgis area!

Hi there, I'm Emily! My husband and I love calling the Black Hills our home. We're both business owners in the area and love meeting new people drawn to experience the Black Hills!
Why they chose this property
This house feels like a dream. Beautifully built, in the most gorgeous location, surrounded by trees and wildlife. Deadwood is only 5 minutes away, Sturgis is 15 minutes, Spearfish is 20 minutes. You can experience all that the Black Hills has to offer, then retreat to our sanctuary in the forest.
What makes this property unique
Wildlife frequent this secluded property. Deer, wild turkeys and if you're lucky enough, the spotted fawns in the spring,
