Newly constructed luxury home, 65 feet of shore and Harris Pontoon boat option

(June - August is 7-day minimum rental)
This new 2-story home was built in 2017 and includes 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths over its 2,800 square feet. With hardwood floors throughout the first level, open concept, thoughtfully designed for family and friend entertainment and enjoyment of the lake’s beauty through lake side windows that welcome natural light. Indoor gas fireplace for those cool Michigan evenings and fall and winter days/nights. Additionally, enjoy over 1,000 square feet of outdoor patio and entertainment space, including private beach, green grass yard and bocce court.

The clean waters and natural sand bottom of Hutchins Lake make perfect swimming for families and little children. Use of private dock and beach that sits on our 65 feet of shoreline. Enjoy great fishing or water sports in this all-sports lake. We have a 2021 Harris Pontoon boat that can be separately rented.

Options are endless for activities in nearby Fennville (5 minute drive) or in the Michigan beach towns of Saugatuck/Douglas (10 minutes), South Haven (20 minutes) and Holland (20 minutes).

Hike the trails and sand dunes of Saugatuck Dunes State Park, take a thrilling tour of the dunes with Saugatuck Dune Rides, sit on the beautiful grounds of Fenn Valley Vineyards, Modales Vineyards or Virtue Cider which are all minutes from Hutchins Lake, enjoy a day on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan at Oval Beach (recognized as one of the top beaches in the world), enjoy apple picking (or cherry, peaches, blueberry) at Cranes Orchards just across Hutchins Lake or at many other local fruit farms, are just a few of the local options.
Enjoy amazing fall foliage and cool days and nights for fall getaway weekends. Outdoor fire pit and beautiful fall sunset views are just a few of the ways to enjoy an autumn weekend.
For those looking to enjoy a Pure Michigan snowy winter weekend, there is great downhill ski options and sledding for kids and adults. Sledding the sand dunes at Oval beach and/or skiing at Bittersweet Ski Resort (35 minutes) or Timber Ridge (40 minutes). A little further in Kalamazoo (60 minutes) is tobogganing at Echo Valley.
Restaurants, bars, coffee shops abound in the nearby towns with excellent options for both kid-friendly and adult focused dining.
June - August rentals are 7 day minimum and rental period is Friday to Friday.

Perfect family getaway

Perfect family getaway. So much to do on the water, and several great options nearby in Saugatuk/Douglas! We loved the Art Barn, Dune Rides, the beach, etc. The house is in a great location!

Gorgeous home situated on child-friendly beach with clean sand and wading level water. Clean and comfortable open floor plan with fully stocked kitchen and lovely comfortable covered patio to look out over the lake. Hosts were wonderful, kind, and very responsive when we had a few questions.So much to do in the area too! Highly recommend for family vacation!

We had a wonderful stay here! We had several toddlers and the property was perfect for them. So much to do in the towns nearby. The kitchen has everything you could ever need to make wonderful family dinners. Our group had the perfect long weekend stay here and our looking forward to our next trip to Lake Hutchins!

Amazing stay!!

Great house! So much there!! Sand chairs, toys, balls, life jackets all supplied! So many shower and beach towels provided. Shampoo and body washes provided. These renters were great! We took the boat out and there was a tube and knee board we could use. Lake is very calm and amazing lake. This house is 4 mins from some great wineries and a few restaurants! One of the best houses I have rented.

Beautiful house and property! Super clean!

We’ve rented many houses and this is by far the cleanest and best maintained we’ve ever stayed in. It fit our large party perfectly and everything was so comfortable and fresh—inside and out. The lake is nice but best if you have a boat. We do not have our own boat and could not find anyone to rent to us, which was a bit disappointing. We did manage to get a couple kayaks but it would be nice if they were provided on property. The beach area is a bit weedy but we did rake it out as suggested. It’s fairly shallow even past the dock though with lots of seaweed pretty far out and a lake bottom you sink into. Overall we really enjoyed our time here!

The house was well appointed for a family vacation. It had everything we needed...honestly, I could have packed far less. We enjoyed most meals at home and had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals for up to 8 people. The furniture, especially the beds, were extremely comfortable. The equipment for use outside made for a great time....do rent a boat or two...they make the time at the house so much fun and were a major hit for adults and children alike. The town of Fennville and its neighboring towns - Saugatuck and Douglas - are pack full with things to do and really nice people. And, finally, and just about the most important thing to me is cleanliness. The house met my very high standards. We hope to return again in the coming years!

Another Awesome Stay in Fennville

The property was as clean as it was last year, and the owners even added a few more amenities. Specifically, a pedal boat, updated fire pit, and additional great room furniture. It is really a perfect rental for a family and a group of couples. We most enjoyed the sunsets, the paddle boats, the ability to rent and use a speedboat, and access to a very well stocked kitchen. Things make sense in this house - you can easily find what you need... The owners are very gracious in their advice before and during the use of their home. I feel very comfortable asking questions and always have received a quick reply. In summary, the house is worth the price...and has made for two years of great memories with my friends and family. Thank you!

Amazing Property with Sunset Views and Great Host!

We loved this house, wish I could give it 6 stars!, It was wonderfully designed to optimize lake views and lake life, super clean and a ton of space. It has beautiful views of the lake and the sunset and great outdoor space. It's the perfect location, 10 minutes from the vibrant Saugatak and Douglas downtown with amazing art galleries, restaurants and bars, It is 15 minutes from Oval beach one of the nicest beaches in Michigan. The house is priced very well for how beautiful and new it is compared to other houses on the lake! It is in a private lake front community which is super safe a minutes from Crane's Pantry and you pick farms where you can pick fresh blueberries, apples to name a few. There is also a winery and cider brewery 5 minutes away! The bocce ball court is awesome and the outside keeps the kids busy for hours, not to mention the on-property sand beach that the little ones loved! Luke is an amazing host, house was in pristine condition with everything we needed for a family week, we even invited up friends to help with the rental price. Luke was great at telling us restaurants and places to go, if you want to rent out of the downtown Saugatak on your own private, quiet and clean lake you need to rent this house. We also rented a pontoon which was super easy, Luke gave us the details. We were able to do sunset cruises and had the kids play at the sandbar. The sandbar is a short boat ride away with a beautiful sandy bottom and water is knee deep, we played boat tunes and drank cocktails while the kids swam and played with water toys in the safe and shallow waters of the sand bar! We loved this property and lake so much, we actually bought a house on Hutchins Lake this past December!

We absolutely loved staying at this property - the outdoor space was gorgeous, location was perfect, and inside was modern. Being overly picky, but it seemed like it could use a deep cleaning as we found some old dust, cobwebs, and dead bugs in the corners of each room. Communication was great. Overall was a fantastic stay!

Great location and house

We really loved this house. It was a relaxing multigenerational trip. Hutchins Lake is shallow and warm and great for kids. The house has a great little beach for kids to play. There’s beach toys, floats, board games, toys, and more for entertainment as well as a boat for rent. Luke was easily to work with. Would stay there again.

Moms Weekend

I stayed with a few women for a weekend getaway. The home is beautiful and immaculately kept. The property is stunning and an outdoor meal is a must do. The checkin process was not very smooth but it all worked out and we did hear from the owners after about an hour.

Beautiful Getaway

A group of myself and fellow coworkers stayed at Luke's house for a weekend getaway. The house is stunning and very spacious. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing. Luke's house had everything you would need for your trip. (i.e. appliances, beach toys, kitchen necessities, towels, linens.) Luke was prompt to answer any questions we had and thoughtful to ask how our trip was going. I would certainly recommend his rental to other people. We had a great experience.

Bad Ending

My family spent a week at this property. We were six adults and three children so the size of the house worked very well. The house is fairly represented by the photos. I don't normally write reviews unless something is exceptional or, as in this case, troubling. As we were returning to Chicago from our stay I received a very rude email from the owner telling me he was taking my security deposit because the house too dirty. He cited sand in the house, dirt on the sheets (little children going to bed with dirty feet), too many towels used, toys left out and dirty dishes. He never claimed that we damaged anything. I am 73 years old and I have been renting VRBO properties for many, many years. I have never had a complaint. We followed the owner's instructions regarding the condition of the house upon departure. We even washed all the beach towels for him even though he did not ask us to. This is a very expensive house and in addition a cleaning fee. He has a sandy beach with no outdoor shower. We did our best to clean up with a garden hose before entering the house. We ran the vacuum several times. I think his demands are unreasonable and were not made clear in his instructions. He never specified the number of towels to be used nor that he expected the house to be cleaned prior to leaving. He gave us no chance to discuss or rectify the problem. I have read that taking renter's deposits under false pretenses has become a problem. Perhaps his cleaning company increased their rates. If so, this is no way to remedy that. Nothing more than a normal cleaning was needed when we left the house and we paid for that.

A Fabulous week

The house and it's amenities could not have been better. We have stayed in dozens of rentals and this house was by far the best equipped with the finest amenities we have experienced. This was a multi generational family stay and everyone had a great time. kitchen, bedrooms, linens, outdoor toys, you could not have asked for more. We liked it so much we committed to additional stays in the coming years! Seamless check in and check out and as needed communication with the owner-manager. We strongly recommend this house to anyone looking for a carefree lake vacation.
