La Bottega del Ferro is a very nice apartment with great character. Located on the ground floor of a typical Florentine building in Via Toscanella, the property has been recently completely renovated with great attention and attention to detail. The house has a very large living area, consisting of the living room, the dining area and the kitchen. In the sleeping area we find a master bedroom. Two bathrooms complete the property.

The apartment is characterized by a really beautiful and particular architecture with exposed bricks, large arches and splendid ceilings with wooden beams. The design of this house is truly unique and we are sure that you will be able to appreciate the mix between the most typical and the most modern elements resulting from the recent renovation.

Great apartment and location. Close to the bridge, near restaurants, bars and shops, yet still quiet and charming. Lights were confusing Don’t sleep on the delicious tiramisu at the gelato shop at the end of the block.

Absolutely amazing stay! The location was perfect — walkable to everything while still being in a quieter part of the city, so it felt peaceful without missing out on the energy of Florence. There were also two grocery stores nearby which made it easy to grab essentials. The host was incredibly responsive and kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after traveling. The apartment itself had such a cool history and charm; they did a wonderful job preserving many of the original features while updating the space, creating a great mix of old and new. One small thing to note is that the pullout couch may not be the most comfortable for adults, though it worked perfectly well for our two kids. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again!

Very cute place and very central to Florence. The AC/heat was a little confusing to get working. I wish that was explained better to us on check-in. The hosts were very responsive, gracious, and accommodating with our requests and help. Having a washing machine in the apartment was a wonderful feature. We did leave laundry detergent for the next guests - enjoy!

We absolutely loved our stay at La Bottega del Ferro! The space was super comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed—perfect for relaxing after long days exploring Florence. This was our second time staying at VILLA LA ROCCA in the past two years. Very unique apartment in a great location close to everything you would want to visit while in Florence. We had some issues though that had me give a poor review score. After agreeing to meet for check in at 16:00 we arrived a few minutes early. We were led into a totally uncleaned apartment. Surprise, after 20 plus hours of travel to walk in and see that. Young lady checking us in was extremely apologetic and reached out to cleaner who did arrive quickly to try and get cleaned. After an hour we were told it was cleaned. We arrived to find that beds had been made and kitchen cleaned, but felt it was not a thorough cleaning after finding hair on bathroom floors and bedroom floors. To the credit of renting company I was able to schedule another cleaning while we were out. This time it was done properly. Overall, if the cleaning had been performed, we would have been completely satisfied with this stay.

Apartment is an old iron work shop delightfully decorated with charming metal sculptures. It's modern and nicely appointed, close to everything but not as crowded. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a nice apartment in a great neighborhood! On a quiet street but only a few blocks from Ponte Vecchio and a short walk to central city. Great coffee bar and other restaurants in the nearby piazza. The apartment was clean and well kept. I would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay

The property is in an excellent location and is very comfortable indeed. We didn’t use the kitchen at all as we ate in the delicious restaurants in Florence. The only downside to the property is the complicated lighting system, the fact that some of the lights are continually flickering plus the fact that the overall light level is pretty low. But it didn’t ruin our stay at all!

Perfectly situated, great launching pad for a weekend in the city. Large, clean, and quiet apartment, plenty of room. Washer inside apartment (no dryer). Checking in and out was very simple. Host was in touch with us the whole time… very seamless.

A Few Steps too all the action

Wonderful and unique La Bottega del Ferro certainly is! Short walks to as much action as you need, or explore the quiet side of the river and all of its uniqueness. Very nice dinner, lunch and breakfast options all in a few block radius.

Glorious time in Florence!

This is a great apartment, located very close to the city center and has easy access to great restaurants, museums, sites, etc. I highly recommend this to couples not wanting to fight the crazy prices for higher end hotels. Wonderful and just like the pictures indicate!

My husband and I usually stay at a hotel when traveling abroad. We ventured out and decided to stay at this cute VRBO and I’m so glad we did. Phenomenal location and super funky fabulous space! A former blacksmith shop with incredible architectural details maintained in a magically urban update. Luxurious accommodations just steps away from award-winning gelato, pizza, and a hip square tucked away from fabulous shopping and nightlife a block from the river. Wonderful apartment in an ideal location

Ideal location to see all the popular sights. Very easy stroll to the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Boboli Gardens and more. Great restaurants and gelato all around. In the heart of a lively and hip neighborhood yet tucked away at a quiet end of the street with no car traffic. Apartment has been professionally designed and renovated and is perfectly appointed with everything you need. As former VRBO hosts ourselves we appreciated the extra touches and the work the owner has put in to creating this fabulous place.
