About this property
Detached stone Barn Conversion in a Peaceful AONB in North Devon
The Long Barn is a detached Grade II listed stone barn conversion situated at Highford Farm, Higher Clovelly, Devon. It’s in an area of outstanding natural beauty near the stunning Hartland Peninsula and famous fishing village of Clovelly. The Long Barn is the last property on the farm and on the edge of open fields with far reaching views to the sea and over farmland. It’s on a Grade II listed non working Victorian model Farm.
The farm has lots of history much of which can be seen on the buildings and the old farm machinery in the grounds.
The area is very peaceful, away from roads and is home to the retired Clovelly donkeys, who can often been seen in the field adjacent to the barn.
Step inside the entrance to be welcomed into the open plan living room with high vaulted ceilings throughout, LPG fire and central heating. Inside the living room you will find a dining table with views towards the sea and over farmland, sofas and the TV with freesat. The access to the property is up 4 steps.
The lounge also leads to the private enclosed back garden.
The separate kitchen space has everything you’ll need to cook during your stay with a single oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and all kitchenware.
The main bedroom features a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and nightstands, with views into the enclosed back garden.
The second bedroom also features a double bed and drawer units, also with views into the enclosed back garden.
The main bathroom contains a shower over bath, toilet and sink. Internally, there is one step to access the bathroom. There is also a separate cloakroom.
To the front of the property there are two allocated parking spaces and an unenclosed side garden with views out to sea and over fields where the retired Clovelly Donkeys like to graze! Their stables are right behind The Long Barn and you are welcome to visit them.
The property also has WiFi. Bed linens and towels are provided.
The Long Barn is well situated and only a short drive from some beautiful surfing beaches, Westward Ho! and Bude to name a few, lots of coastal walks and the Tarka Trail for Cyclists as well as lots of other attractions to visit.
We are proud to be dog friendly although we do ask you bring your own bedding and throws if dogs are allowed on beds and sofas, thank you.

About the host
Hosted by Aimee Fielding

I currently live in Bristol with my two dogs but I’ve always had a soft spot for the North Devon coastline as I’ve holidayed here since I was a teenager. When I get chance, I love to surf and the location of The Long Barn is perfect as we’re close to Bude and Westward Ho! Croyde and Saunton aren‘t too far either. The chance of owning a property at Highford was too good to miss, and I hope to be able to spend time down here where the dogs and I can enjoy the beach and all North Devon has to offer. We’d love to welcome you to our barn, and hope your furry friends enjoy it as much as mine do.
Why they chose this property
North Devon has so much to offer from the South West Coast path and its award winning beaches which are perfect for just chilling for the day or water sports. The barn is located in close proximity to several absolutely gorgeous beaches, many of which are dog friendly
What makes this property unique
The Long Barn is set in the most peaceful location but also not far from beautiful walks and surfing beaches.
