This was the perfect little Romantic getaway stay. Skiing, Hiking, and plenty of Restaurants are nearby. Hosts are excellent and Communicate right away, very friendly also. The Cabin itself is very clean, perfect for two and pet friendly. This was a great find and will definitely stay again!!

Anniversary Stay
I was a little disappointed that it was not mentioned that there were other cabins so close to this one however no one else was there this weekend so it worked out. I did not receive any check in information until after we were already on the property but I think that was because there was some confusion about bringing our Bulldog. I do think that if you are going to advertise the firepit as an amenity there should be firewood. We did finally find some at a convenience store up the road. Shane is a very nice guy and lives on the property so that is a plus if there are any concerns. We would def go back! It was very peaceful and we did not leave the property the whole weekend.
We had the best time staying here during the snow storm that just came through. Shane, property manager, went above and beyond with checking in on us. He came to clear the snow from the entrance to our cabin when we returned from snowboarding and the road got bad. He also extended the checkout times and cleared a path for us to leave on Monday in these snowy conditions. 10/10 would highly recommend.
The cozy cabin on the water was the perfect little getaway.... Saw baby rabbits, loved the view of the country church and horses grazing in the field.... Was nice to have easy access to water... Loved the lighted path/road to the cabins. Was great for walking dog and my son wished he would have brought his bike... Great place the fish... Fire pit was perfect for smores... The only bad thing was the internet, which didn't bother us but our 13 year old had problems...
Awesome place, Owner is easy to talk to. Very good location!.

Very uncomfortable experience.
Should really be listed that they have limited hot water in snow storms, and that the TV does work but barely. Also, make sure you have 4WD during winter months because my husband and I got stuck half way up the hill and had to push the car because 4WD wasn’t not disclosed.
Last but not least, we asked if we could light candles to be polite to property owner to make sure he or she didn’t have allergies, and I guess we offended him so badly he felt the need to offer a refund, so just make sure you don’t ask questions here. Most uncomfortable stay that I have ever stayed in and I highly do not recommend this business.
We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The setting was very nice, enjoyed the peace & quiet. The cabin was as described, no surprises. Great location, near lots of things to do. Only issue we had was internet/tv connectivity. Won't blame this on owner, we communicated and he offered to come look at right when I got it working. But did have issues both nights with losing internet (thus the tv as well) for a couple hours. But that is an extremely minor thing. All in all, will look into staying there again.
Exactly what we were looking for in a mountain get away. Right in the middle of everything we wanted to do and very clean and cozy! Definitely worth the price!
Enjoyed our winter getaway. Cute cabin on a mountain river. Owner made sure we had everything and worked diligently to get the hot tub crystal clear. Not quite as secluded as we may have liked, but everything else was top notch.
This charming and cozy cabin was the perfect choice for a couples retreat. As avid vacationers, it is rare that the experience matches the ad description. This is a true diamond in the ruff nestled next to a rapid moving river that fills every void of silence.
Shane, the property manager, was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He clearly understands the value of building relationships. He met us upon check in and checked in with us via text during our stay.
The location is a short distance from a gas station, famous restaurant, winery, grandfathers mountain, and some of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the U.S.
The cabin included all the amenities we needed from comfortable furniture and a well equipped kitchen.
Take advantage of the grill, fire pit, jacuzzi, and fireplace and you won’t be disappointed.
Don’t be surprised if a nearby cabin owner surprises you with free quality firewood!
We will definitely be booking again and highly recommend this little slice of heaven!
My husband & I have not been on any kind of get away for a few years. This property was great. It was clean, tranquil, quite & private. It was our 24th anniversary. Close to shopping & attractions. Everything was great.
The property exactly matched the description! It’s conveniently located within a short drive of Linville falls, grandfather mountain, blowing rock....and the location right on the river was peaceful and allowed for some stress relieving fishing! We would definitely recommend this rental!
My wife and I and our three month old lab puppy thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Newland. The place was clean and had a fantastic hot tub as well as other amenities that made for an almost perfect four days near Grandfather Mountain in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains. Would have wished to have been closer to things to do and places to eat, but this was a minor issue and everything else about the place made up for any inconvenience. We highly recommend this property to couples or couples with a pet.
I had the best time of my life in the mountains. My cabin was perfect. Could not ask for anything better. Planning another trip in the fall time and would go back to the same place over and over again. Highly recommend !!!!!!

Nice clean cozy
No complaints, nice little cabin on the river, clean and cozy hot tub is nice, but would have liked a little more privacy around it some lattice or bamboo blinds or even a tree to block the cabin beside from seeing right over, but that's all I would change. The winery about mile down the road is nice and tasty, Italian restaurant up toad about 5 min is awesome and if you go about 30 min up road to Boone be sure to eat at Daniel Boone in it is incredible. All in all I will be staying with them again. Oh yeah if you have TMobile you will be disconnected from the world untill you get about 5 min up road.

Weekend Get away
We had a wonderful weekend in this little cabin. It was secluded, but not so much that we couldn't drive just a few miles and get a good meal. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub while listening to the little stream that flows right by the porch. We will definitely be returning.

Beyond expectations
The absolute best weekend get-away ever! The cabin was exactly as it was portrayed. Sits right on the Linville River...so beautiful and serene! The most peaceful, relaxing time anyone could possibly experience. The staff was very personable and attentive to little details to make us feel welcome. So much to do...can't hardly wait to book another trip!
