We absolutely loved the cabin. A short drive into Asheville, it offered us a perfect place to unwind in a beautiful, quiet setting. I wish we had been able to stay longer.
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin! It was cute and charming, even better than the photos. We were able to bring our dog and really enjoyed sitting on the front porch, playing games, and listening to records. We would definitely recommend staying here and will stay again when back in the area.

This cabin stay was truly wonderful and offered a much-needed sense of peace. The host was incredibly welcoming and kept in excellent communication throughout. They were also very responsive to any needs that arose during the visit. It's clear they put a lot of effort into making guests feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this lodging for a relaxing getaway.
Beautiful view and a clean cabin. The mattress was a little firm and there was a decent amount of bugs but it's hard to escape them in the mountains during the summer. The host was very nice and responsive.
We had a wonderful long-weekend stay. The property is about 20 minutes to Asheville but feels very rural. Very nice cabin in a beautiful setting. Excellent communication from the host. Highly recommended.
This is a wonderful place to stay. It is clear the owners have spent much time and effort figuring out what would make guests' stay comfortable. We had everything we needed, for ourselves and our dogs. The beds are comfortable and the towels luxurious. The front porch and rocking chairs are great. The view is spectacular. This is one of the nicest rentals we have ever stayed in, if not the nicest one! We will return.
The house was just as described. It was clean and well stocked The property was beautiful and the location is great - not far from popular places but far enough to feel like a getaway. Our kids were able to explore and play outside. We felt like our dogs were welcomed with the accommodations made by the owners (towels just for dogs, specific covers to protect the bedding.) We really enjoyed the stay!
the mountain view was very beautiful. We all enjoyed the front porch, our puppy enjoyed the outdoors and the porch: the rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable. right as you walk in you have a big open space with kitchen and view of the rooms within the living room. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed our time there for the price.
Great communication before and after our stay. The cabin was perfect for our weekend stay. We have stayed in many places over the years, but never has a host been so gracious in trying to meet all your needs. Pet friendly, lots of warm cozy linens and coffee. Gorgeous views and the playground would be a huge hit if you have little ones.
Tucked away in countrside outside Asheville, this property really captures the cabin camping vibe with a rural twist. The property has everything you need to enjoy and stay in the entire day if you desire. We really enjoyed the gated porch for our small dog and the cozy vibes with the vinyl player by the electric fireplace. Additionally, this location allowed us to explore Asheville and the surrounding areas by day, and come back to a relaxing cabin at night, and some moody forest night sky photography. We were surprised at the well-kept state of every appliance and piece of furniture, and appreciated all the extra silverware, utensils, and general cookware the hosts left for us. We will definitely consider coming back!
It was a beautiful home with comfortable furnishings. It was quiet, way off the main road with beautiful views. Everything was clean and looked brand new. Communication with the host was excellent.
we had a lovely stay in this comfy, well stocked and immaculately clean little cabin. bed was comfortable and shower was amazing! would definitely stay again!

About the host
Hosted by Nancy Hanf
Philip and Nancy moved from Morehead City, NC, to this property in April 2018 after retiring from owning a business at the beach to spend time with their children and grandchildren. They built the 2 bungalows on the 12-acre property and are enjoying hosting guests from all over the world!
Why they chose this property
The mountain views and sunrises are spectacular. This is a quiet property, easily accessible on main roads, but with a country feel (watch the cows on the adjacent property and some deer and wild turkeys), while only 20 minutes to all of the activities in downtown Asheville. Great for families and their pets, but also the perfect couples getaway.
What makes this property unique
You can get away and relax with the added benefit of all the activities in Asheville only 20 minutes away on main roads.
