This property is in a beautiful location. It sits back in along the water. The cabin came equipped with everything we needed. The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had. It was approximately 35-40 minutes to bar harbor and 15-20 to Ellsworth.
Good location, private yet convenient to many places in the area. The view is amazing. Nicely stocked with everything you need. Washer/dryer big plus. Time at the property was relaxing and restorative. Love this area of Maine, beautiful outdoor interesting and fun things to do. Thank you!
Great property and location to relax and unwind after days exploring Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We enjoyed staying here for 3 nights in June. As a travel agent, I would definitely recommend this property.
My partner and I had the perfect stay at this calming, clean house with a backyard overlooking the water. Lovely to stay in a quiet area away from the bustle of Bar Harbor but still in close proximity to Acadia. Would happily return next time we visit the area.
This was a very nice place. We were very well pleased with everything. Nice and clean, well equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay there very much!!
The cottage was the perfect place to stay and relax after a long day hiking in Acadia National Park. Beautiful view and all the amenities were perfect.
The owners were very thoughtful & the place was very tidy and had all the amenities throughout the house. It was very relaxing and always a beautiful view. Our boys slept in the pull out couch and both beds were very comfortable. We felt it was the perfect place to wake up in and come back to after exploring Maine with hiking & sightseeing. If we had more time, would have enjoyed relaxing more in and outside. We liked how it was quiet retreat after the busyness of Bar Harbor / Acadia.
The photos posted don't do this place justice! It was the perfect place to come back to after long days of exploring Acadia. Clean, cozy, quiet, beautiful, and full of amenities.

About half an hour from the main visitor's center and 45 miunutes from the Schoodic Peninsula, the cottage provides an excellent base for exploring Acadia while providing a peaceful respite from the crowds after a day spent in the park. Most things you might need are within a short drive.
Located down a small private road and backing up right onto the water, it's a beautiful location. The cottage itself is very comfortable, with plenty of windows (and a lovely screened-in porch).
Ideal cottage for us. Lovely surroundings, peaceful and quiet. Very clean and well maintained. After our days spent at Acadia, the solitude was welcomed. We will absolutely return to Maine and this wonderful cottage!
My wife and I can’t say enough about this place! Just watching the sunrise from the chairs behind the cabin was well worth staying here and our favorite part about the property itself. The cabin is great for couples looking to visit the area. Very easy to get around, especially going to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor but there are also some great places near the cabin without the tourist crowds. We would highly recommend others stay here.
The entire process was simple and stress-free. The owners are very responsive and seem to really care if you have a good time. Instructions and expectations were also very clear enabling us to make sure to check out how they prefer. I’m we will definitely be back!
My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was absolutely perfect. We loved everything about this home and the owners have it fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The view was breathtaking and we enjoyed the fire pit in evenings and the beach area at low tide. The house is close enough to Acadia and all the fun areas to explore, but private enough that it was so peaceful. The house was clean and the owner was great about communicating. We highly recommend this home.
The cabin was nice and in a beautiful location. Not a far drive to all the attractions. Our only complaint would be the heating system. When it kicked on it made a very high pitched sound that would continue while it ran. It woke us up almost every night due to its proximity to the bedroom. This may not bother most people but we are both light sleepers and feel its worth mentioning. The waterfront is beautiful. We spent alot of time enjoying the view. The bed/mattress was just ok. We would stay again if we did not have to run the heat.
My wife and I had a wonderful week at this special cottage in Lamoine. Enjoyed walking every morning and the view of the sunrise is spectacular! Spotless little cottage with everything you need. The bed was comfortable and TV great. Played games on the porch every afternoon. Grilled out most nights but also enjoyed Finn's Irish Pub and Helen's Restaurant. I shot a 7 on the 17th hole at Kebo Golf Course in Bar Harbor beating President Taft by 20! We would definately recommend this house and plan to return. One caution drive slow on the road and watch for the deer they are everwhere!
My husband and I used this property as a base to explore Bar Harbor, Acadia, Camden and more. The house was great for two people- nothing fancy, just comfortable. My only caution to future renters is finding the property for the first time in the dark. GPS ends about .5 miles from the house. Continue even though there are numerous Private Property signs. The road will fork in front of a bank of mailboxes. You need to take the right one(gravel road).
The photos on VRBO did not do this adorable cottage justice! It was much larger and stylish than we expected. Spacious, well designed, and comfortable. The kind of place a writer needs to finish their novel. Or a couple who needs a place to unwind from their hectic lives.
The cottage was well-stocked with kitchen staples, towels, dishes, pots and pans, and basics for baking/cooking. Fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffeepot, all work great. Both bathrooms are beautiful, well-lit, plenty of towels - stocked with shampoo, soap and body wash too. The grill was easy to use. Plenty of comfortable seating indoors and outdoors.
We saw a pair of quiet rabbits each day. Songs from the Hermit Thrush were like music in the forest. Soft sounds of the shoreline were soothing. We highly recommend this adorable cottage to others who are seeking a quiet refuge from life.
This quaint cabin sits in the most beautiful setting! You are headed to the perfect R&R getaway to unwind and unplug. We spent our days enjoying Acadia and relaxing here at night. Don't miss the sunrises! We were visited by deer one morning and heard loons on our last morning.
The cabin has everything you need in the bathrooms, including toiletries and towels and lots of linens, extra blankets and pillows for the bedroom. The washer/dryer came in handy too. We cooked a lot, brought our own groceries and appreciated the well-stocked and appointed kitchen and open concept living room that looks out to the water.
We took advantage of the fire ring and seating by the water. The difference in tides is crazy to watch (we learned it's a 12 foot difference) and changes your view. We had rented kayaks dropped off at the cabin. It's not a seamless walk from the shore to the water - it's more of a drop that required some creative water entry, but we made it.
Like another renter noted, GPS stops before you get to the cabin. Once you feel like you've entered private property, stay straight on the dirt road.
We loved our stay here and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, serene location to enjoy Acadia and the surrounding area.
This is a lovely home in a beautiful part of Maine. The house overlooks the bay. We enjoyed eating our meals looking at the water. It is very quiet. From the house, you can't see other houses. It was a nice place to kayak--you can rent one and have it delivered. We spotted bunnies, deer, and wild turkeys around the house. The house has nice furniture. Although we didn't work, there is a nice area to work in and good wi-fi. The kitchen is well equipped. We brought quite a lot of our own kitchen equipment, which we did not take out of the box. The owners have been thoughtful about providing everything a visitor may need. The potted herbs just outside the door is a lovely touch. The area is very nice. You can go to Acadia National Park and the Blue Hill peninsula. Ellsworth was also nicer than we expected. It has all the big supermarkets, but also some nice shops and restaurants. Lemoine has a small beach. We had a really nice stay. Highly recommend it.
The pictures don't do the place justice. Absolutely beautiful! The VRBO was super clean and well stocked with things you may need or have forgotten. The location was close enough to major attractions and far enough to be able to relax. The check in process was a breeze and the owner was quick to respond to questions. The bed was comfortable. If we are in the area again I will definitely return and will recommend to anyone else traveling to this area.
Everything was great. Secluded area with beautiful view but close drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The cottage was very well stocked. If we get a chance to travel that way again, we’ll definitely stay here!
