Welcome to The Afterdeck, a charming new vacation carriage house apartment nestled in the heart of Asticou Village on Mount Desert Island, Maine.
Sleeps 4 - 2 in the Queen BR and 2 in the Trundle BR with 2 twin beds and there is a Full tub/shower bathroom. AC has been added in bedrooms.

Perfectly situated in the picturesque town of Northeast Harbor, this inviting retreat offers the ideal home base for exploring the beauty and adventure of Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. Step outside and enjoy walkable access to Northeast Harbor, the Asticou Azalea Garden, Thuya Garden and the scenic shores of the harbor itself.

Spend your days hiking the nearby Hadlock Ponds Loop, biking the nearby Acadia National Park Carriage Roads with easy access from the Brown Mountain Gatehouse, teeing off at the historic Northeast Harbor Golf Club, or simply relaxing and soaking in the peaceful coastal atmosphere.

The Afterdeck features two comfortable bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a cozy living space-perfect for families, or friends looking to unwind in a classic Maine setting. Absolutely perfect place for my wife and I, and our seven month old daughter. The location was great. We loved being next door to the Asticou Hotel and the Azalea Gardens. We even enjoyed taking a beautiful morning walk to Northeast Harbor. Our daughter especially loved greeting the three resident hens every day. Thanks for a great stay - we hope to be back soon.

A Cozy Little Gem in Asticou Village! We absolutely loved our stay at The Afterdeck! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. It’s such a cozy and comfortable space, and the perfect home base for exploring Mount Desert Island and Acadia.The location is truly special. Being right in Asticou Village, so close to the gardens, hiking, Northeast Harbor, and all the beauty of Acadia, made it easy to slow down and really enjoy the area. We especially loved coming back after a day of exploring and having such a peaceful place to relax.The apartment was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The new AC in the bedrooms was also a wonderful touch and made the warmer days and nights especially comfortable.What we appreciated most was how much the place felt like a home rather than just a rental. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into making it comfortable for guests.We left The Afterdeck wishing we could stay longer, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. A truly lovely place in a beautiful part of Maine — highly recommended!
