Set on a 5-acre property, this private, self-contained farmhouse blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find three bedrooms (including a cozy mezzanine loft), a full kitchen, comfy beds, and beautiful rural views.

You’ll share the property with the hosts and their friendly dog, plus free-roaming chickens — real Kiwi country living! Perfectly located for exploring beaches, bush walks, bike trails, and local swimming holes.

Good to know: Pets by approval only (lead required). The mezzanine stairs aren’t suitable for toddlers. Rainwater is filtered and safe to drink.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s unique guesthouse. This quirky & cosy holiday home is everything we dream about — tasteful interior, comfortable bed, functional amenities, convenient location, and best of all, adorable chickens that kept the kids entertained. Sarah is a wonderful host with great communication. The Hikuai/Pauanui location made it easy to travel to all main attractions around Coromandel. We would love to go back for another vacation at this home away from home.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I live with my partner Darius, our 10-year-old son Caspian, and our (very enthusiastic) Swiss Shepherd on a 5-acre orchard just outside Pauanui.

I love nature, good conversation, and the slower pace of rural living. When I’m not tending the garden or collecting eggs with Caspian, I work with women’s community groups around Aotearoa.

We love hosting guests who enjoy open spaces, starry skies, and a relaxed, down-to-earth getaway.

Peaceful, modern, and self-contained — this rural escape sits on five acres of orchard and open paddocks just minutes from Pauanui, Tairua, and Whangamatā. Close to beaches, bike trails, bush walks, and crystal-clear swimming holes, it’s the perfect base to unwind and explore the Coromandel.

Once an old implement shed, now a light-filled, quirky farmhouse with character and comfort. The space features high ceilings, a full kitchen, comfy beds with quality linen, and three bedrooms — including a cozy mezzanine loft best suited for older children or teens.

Wake to birdsong, stroll through fruit trees, and watch hens wander through the orchard. Enjoy wine under the stars or a slow breakfast with views of the hills.

Pet-friendly by prior approval, the property is home to free-roaming chickens and our Swiss Shepherd, who may bark a hello but can be tucked away if needed. Dogs must stay on-lead and never be left unattended.

We live just up the driveway and are happy to help with local tips or leave you completely to yourselves — your choice.
