Walk to the beach, or sit on the on the 700 sq. ft Trex deck and see the pelicans nose dive into the surf to fish. The private outdoor shower has hot and cold running water. 'Las Palmas' has two luxurious queen size beds in the large suite-like living room and a sunny private bedroom with pillow top bed and Paul Brent flamingo tropical wallpaper with an ocean view and private bath.

Las Palmas is on a quiet street that ends at the Beach.
Note: a 20. property fee is added per night to help cover the 9% local hotel taxes that HomeAway doesn't collect for as they collect for state tax only.

This home is a fantastic find on a beautiful stretch of beach and just a10 minute drive to everything you need or want in Galveston. We loved the ocean views from the deck and master bedroom. Our little dachshund loved the fenced yard, and quick walk to the beach. We couldn't be happier with the location. The home is clean, has a nice size kitchen and very comfortable beds. The owner is responsive to questions, and easy to contact. We loved our stay here, and definitely would book this home again.

Perfect location for us "older ladies". It was an easy walk to the beach. Coffee on the porch in the morning was just the thing we needed. Our stay wasn't long enough. The house was clean and spacious.

Had a great summer weekend in Galveston and this home made it so perfect for the family. Can not beat the location - SHORT walk to the beach, watching the waves crash in while on the balcony, and waking up to the sea every morning was incredible. Dog friendly fenced yard was a great perk as well. All the amenities you'd need for a weekend getaway and utilized the charcoal grill one night as well. Jamaica Beach is a gem and the only area we will stay in now when visiting Galveston - just 15 minutes away which was nice for going to the dog surfing competition and then back here for the rest of our time. Incredible home, excellent host, not enough nice things to say!

It was exactly what we needed - great porches with a great view, a fenced in yard for the pup, beds were comfortable, house was clean, all the amenities we needed were there. We will visit again!

Nice Stay and Wonderful Location

I usually stay in this area when visiting Galveston and enjoyed the location of the house. The house was clean and charming. I've stayed at other houses in the are the had a bit more glamore, but for the price and location, I would absolutely consider the location again. The owner is kind and fairly responsive. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful views!!

This was our 5th time coming to Galveston and this place was by far our favorite! Short distance to the beach and beautiful views!! The house was exactly as the pictures showed. We really enjoyed our stayed and will definitely be staying again in the future!

Overall a great stay

The location was great. Few steps to the beach. The house was clean and comfortable. The grill outside was terrible and needs replaced as we could not grill. Overall a great beach frint home.

Enclosed yard for the pups was a major plus! Cute home, everything you need to cook with, Keurig coffee maker. Houses are close together, but it was a very quiet neighborhood.

House was clean and plenty of room for us, 3 women for a sisters weekend. Very close to the beach with great views from the deck. Easy walk to the beach pulling a wagon with our chairs and cooler. Very friendly neighborhood. Will be back.

Great views and deck!

The location and views from the deck are amazing. It is very clean and has everything you need. We had our daughter, son in law and their 2 boys with us, which was slightly cramped on space. This beach house would be best suited for 2 adults and 2 children. It is very basic, but was great for us, because we wanted to spend most of our time outdoors and at the beach.

Get what you pay for I suppose

The good: Nice neighborhood.The bad: Old home pretty run down. Lots of gnats in the kitchen from the beginning of the stay. Last day there was a HUGE roach on the wall in the dining area. I told the owner and she just said "Thanks for letting me know. That they exterminate but critters are resistant & persistent". I had a home I bought in FL and when I saw a roach and some ants I had it exterminated and never saw one again. Picture included. I would not stay here again because of the bugs and the owner offered no remedy.

Great location, great beach house!

My wife and I both had a great, relaxing time here. My wife lives for the beach and it's just a few steps away and I like watching the waves and reading, the large wrap around deck was perfect for that, so we both had what we wanted. The furnishings were very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of prep area and was well stocked with everything we needed for a quick meal. Linda was a great host recommending dinning spots nearby as well as where to get groceries and other things we might need. We would definitely stay there again!

I came to Galveston in 1992 and fell in love with the healing sound of the surf, the soft sand, the breathtaking sunsets, the palm trees, the Victorian Architecture, the art galleries, and the Strand shopping. My husband and I remodel beach houses and historical homes and wanted a place extended family could stay when they visit. Galveston is a cultural jewel with a rich history. We are blessed that we can call Galveston Island home.

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased the beach house as a place Mom and Dad could come stay when they visited. Mom and I totally remodeled this place to be a restful and fun place to stay with GREAT BEDS. Mom is very picky about beds... Our family has restored and remodeled homes for many years. This experience along with my interior design and art background made for a really unique and comfortable beach house. The beach has been a great place to find unique seashells and sharks teeth (but no sharks!) Palm Beach Galveston is almost like having your own private beach.

What makes this property unique

Awesome views from the huge deck. Very relaxing atmosphere. Exquisite underwater-look fish ceramic tile in the kitchen. Comfy beds with high quality soft linens. Hand painted Italian ceramic shell themed dishes, enough colorful beachy melamine dinnerware for an indoor/outdoor buffet for family and friends. French doors that open up to the deck to enjoy the morning sunrise with your coffee.
