About the host
Hosted by Lara Levison
The cottage, which was purchased by our mother, belongs to sisters Deborah and Lara Levison. Deborah and her husband are economists living in Minneapolis, MN. Lara lives in Washington, DC and works for an ocean conservation organization. In this photo, we are on Pigeon Hill, with Tom Leighton Point, where our cottage is located, in view behind us.
Why they chose this property
Our family is from New England, and we had visited Downeast Maine a number of times before our mother decided to buy a vacation cottage in the area.
What makes this property unique
We love the marvelous views of the sea, sky, and sunsets. We love being "off the grid" and largely unplugged. The cottage has a great deal of character since the main section was built in the 1930s as a hunting and fishing camp.
